XABI ALONSO CLOSE TO LEAVING FOR BAYERN MUNICH

Real Madrid midfielder Xabi Alonso is making news today, not only has he announced his retirement from the Spanish National Football Team, but there is a "flash" that Alonso may be close to German giant Bayern Munich.

Spanish Sports media has picked up this afternoon that Xabi Alonso has full agreement with Bayern Munich & now depends on the negotiations at Club level. Real Madrid is likely to not put too many obstacles but will ask for money which is speculated to be around 10M€. The player is said to have been offered a fantastic contract of around 10M€/season.

The arrival of Toni Kroos at Real Madrid has forced the situation as the German has become a regular starter putting Alonso on the bench. Bayern Munich & their Coach Guardiola are currently suffering in the midfield area precisely due to the exit of Toni Kroos & the injury of Javi Martinez. Coach Guardiola considers Xabi Alonso as the perfect substitute & the piece need to bring back the missing equilibrium to his midfield.

Stay tuned for developments. This story & option does make sense to all parties & the relations between Real Madrid & Bayern Munich are optimal.

SPAIN FOOTBALL TEAM | THE WOUNDS REOPEN

Spanish International midfielder Xabi Alonso has always been a "no bullshit man". Characterised by his straight to the grain views & opinions his post Chile comments has caused bad feeling within the Spanish Team Camp.

When Xabi Alonso was asked by media, before leaving the "Maracana Stadium" after losing its second Group match 0 - 2 to Chile & thus being eliminated, to why he thought Spain sank & played so badly, the player said that basically the Spanish squad had lost its "hunger" & "motivation" apart from being physically under prepared.  Nothing controversial if you watched both the Holland & Chile games, it was obvious that Xabi said some honest truths.

Straight after his press appearance team-mates Iniesta & Torres came out to say the "contrary" claiming that the hunger "to win" was always present. Today in press Conference Santi Cazorla joined them to claim that the "motivation to win" is present.

Spanish Sports journalists, who are following the Spain Football Team & have close access to players & staff, go further in their press stories to say that Xabi Alonso is isolated & that he practically has a non-existent relationship with Xavi Hernandez, Busquets, Pique , VIlla & Iker Casillas. One source claims a "player" made the comment that "Alonso has always gone his own particular way". Selector & Coach Del Bosque - as seen in the above picture - had some words with Alonso at training were we assume he too voiced his "disappointment" with his post-Chile comments & for perhaps not following the "team line". Saying the team is not in form & not motivated obviously affects the job of Del Bosque.

Already the there are direct (outside) effects & ripples, as Real Madrid team-mate & personal friend Alvaro Arbeloa place a tweet that said, the the truth hurts while lies are more useful to save admiration. Remember Arbeloa was dropped from the Spanish National Football Team for this World Cup , & insiders claim it was because players from the "Barça clan" had "black-banned" the player.

Harsh accusations but there is nothing like losing & a Football disaster to undo the glue & make the shit explode. The crap within the Spanish Football Team has been smelling for sometime, while the RP experts of the team - Del Bosque included - worked hard to perfume the atmosphere & make us all believe it was all roses.

It all goes back to the fierce Real Madrid-FC Barcelona clashes two-three years back under Coach Mourinho were the games were "on field battles". The FC Barcelona players & the Barça Spanish Internationals have never forgiven Xabi Alonso (nor Arbeloa) for the fierce tackling & defence of José Mourinho. The relationship between the mentioned players turned to ice,  while in the Spanish Football Team it was "for the good of the team", a practical rational. At the Club level, Real Madrid, Alonso (& Arbeloa) also defended Mourinho & his decision to sit Iker Casillas, & the later has never forgiven them for this. In fact, Arbeloa does not talk with Casillas & Xabi looks at Casillas as a "professional" obligation.

The truth is the Xabi Alonso detractors have very little arguments as they themselves played horrendously & are totally out of form. Xabi Alonso was not to good either & made his own crucial mistakes, but the events & the circumstances has reopened wounds & bad vibes with the shit flying around once again.

The remaining days at the Spanish Team HQ in Curitiba will be a "nightmare" for the squad. There is little motivation or desire to play their last match against Australia with most wanting to leave asap to fly back home & leave this World Cup behind. The fact is that profound changes within the Spain Football Team will came, & many of those wounded by the Xabi Alonso truths should perhaps do their service to the squad & leave their place to more ambitious & hungrier young Spanish Football Talents. Xabi Alonso is included in that list, but all that he voiced was what the Football World saw for themselves on the TV.

Selector & Coach Del Bosque perhaps should consider moving aside as he was a silent witness & "a sweeper" that placed all the shit under the carpet for so long. His management has not been enough & his motivational skills has not been on show.

Stay tuned for more flying shit coming out of the Spain Football Team in coming days & weeks. We will be surprised.

XABI ALONSO TO STAY AT REAL MADRID | WILL RENEW HIS CONTRACT

Huge sigh of relief for Real Madrid Directives, the Technical Staff, the squad & the fan base after Spanish International midfielder & 32 year old player Xabi Alonso announced formally his intention to continue at the Club & renew contract.

The wait has been long, & perhaps with hindsight over exaggerated. The very latest was that Xabi Alonso would leave due to "personal reasons", however in the last days "alternative" commentators suggested a financial motive was also in play. Seems the financial obstacle was "higher" than the "personal" & it has been jumped.

Whatever the real reason, Xabi Alonso has been offered a 2 year extension to his contract with an option to a 3rd season. Also his yearly salary of 4M€ jumps now to 6M€ which is not too bad at all.

The other European Football Club pretenders were Italian Club Juventus & some English Premier League Clubs with Chelsea FC in the forefront.  One can say that this is a "true" Winter Market signing by Real Madrid which secures one of the Best Midfielders in World Football & a player many agree is currently irreplaceable in the current World Soccer scene.

TALKS ACCELERATE BETWEEN REAL MADRID & GUNDOGAN OF BORUSSIA DORTMUND

While midfielder & Spanish International Xabi Alonso keeps in limbo his Club Real Madrid while he decides to renew or not his contract, the Spanish Football Club moves its piece just in case they need to find a substitute.

All speculation points at German International & Borussia Dortmund player Gundogan as the Real Madrid target & the Xabi Alonso replacement if the latter decides to leave. Local Spanish Football observers & Real Madrid insiders have the "feeling" that Alonso will not renew his contract with Real Madrid & will leave at the end of the season due to personal reasons. Borussia Dortmund player Gundogan has been sounding for months with rumours of a preferential option for Real Madrid including a pre-verbal agreement.

The players father has commented & verified an "intense" interest from Real Madrid but has added that until his son recovers from his back injury & returns to the playing fields there will be no negotiations. However, there are clues that lead some to believe that things are already on the rails. Gundogan has not accepted a contract renewal offer from his Club & insiders talk of an acceleration these last days with talks.

Real Madrid has only one concern, the back injury of Gundogan. The player has been side-lined for months & one does not know how he will return. Although common sense would suggest that the recovering will be complete & will return to his habitual form.

Lastly, as with all top class players other important European Clubs are also interested & asking like FC Barcelona, Manchester United, Chelsea FC & Arsenal FC.

XABI ALONSO SPECULATED TO LEAVE REAL MADRID

Real Madrid is currently on alert & anxious to know the final decision of their midfielder Xabi Alonso. The player ends contract on June 30th of 2014 & Alonso has still to announce if he will renew or not his contract with the Club. The player will become a "free agent" as of the 1st of January 2014 allowing him to negotiate with any Club he wishes & can leave Real Madrid for free.

These circumstances makes Alonso very attractive for any Club & allows the player to negotiate the last big contract of his career as the 32 year old Spanish International is entering the final straight of his Football playing days.

For Real Madrid Xabi Alonso is very special & very unique in World Football. There currently is no other player in the World that is like the midfielder that gives experience, vision, stability & equilibrium that includes a full repertoire of short & long Football play. Currently Alonso is perhaps strategically & tactically the most important player at Real Madrid the true bridge that fits together the defence with the attack.

As written here Xabi Alonso announced months ago ( last season ) that he was thinking of leaving. However, it has not been until the last few weeks that Real Madrid has intensified its efforts to convince Alonso to renew, an effort that may be too late as rumours point that Xabi Alonso has decided NOT to renew & will leave at the end of the season.

The reasons are said to be purely personal as the family of Alonso desires to move out of Madrid & find "new adventures". Although this is the repeated reason there is also a personal desire to finish off the career in a new environment & with a last "super contract". The last two cannot be found at Real Madrid.

Football observers & speculators place Xabi Alonso close to Jose Mourinho & Chelsea FC. The line waiting to talk to Alosno is long as he is a very demanded midfielder desired by all the big important World Football Clubs, but Chelsea is in the front running due to the close relationship forged with Mourinho while the latter was Real Madrid Coach.

The player himself has not officially as yet made an announcement & things can change at any moment with an announcement that would make Real Madrid Club & their followers happy. However, that announcement is taking too long which signals a difficult decision for the player & a more than possible "goodbye" to be communicated in any moment.

REAL MADRID HAS GUNDOGAN ON MIND FOR NEXT SEASON

Spanish International midfieder Xabi Alonso looks like definitely not renewing contract with Real Madrid. The Clubs "Technical Team" is & has been thinking about a replacement & everything indicates that player will be German International & Borussia Dortmund player Ilkay Gündogan.

Football observers & Club insiders believe that there could already be a "type" of an agreement with the Borussia Dortmund midfielder. Gundogan finishes contract in 2015 & the firm intention of the Spanish Football Club is to sign the player for the start of next season. In fact, it may well be wise to shut things before the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Brazil just in case Germany does well ( as expected ) in  the tournament & Gundogan stars. This will lift his transfer price way above the speculated 25 - 30 M€ both Borussia & Real Madrid are managing at this preliminary stage of talks.

But with most "class acts" there is apparent competition from English Football in the name of Arsenal FC & Manchester United. This has been the primary reason that Real Madrid is accelerating things in order to shut out the mentioned Clubs. The German & current Real Madrid player on loan to Borussia Dortmund Nuri Sahin could be included as part of the negotiation process & the final deal.

REAL MADRID XABI ALONSO DILEMMA | SHOULD I STAY OR SHOULD I GO

From England the news is that Liverpool FC is thinking about signing & bringing "back home" Real Madrid CF & Spanish International Xabi Alonso. The idea would break Liverpool policy of not signing players above 30 years of age, but Manager Brenden Rodgers considers the Football value still left in the player far outweighs the "fears".

Xabi Alonso is possibly at another crossroads of his career after communicating to his Club that he will not renew his contract. The player has one more year left at Real Madrid & his current intention is to finish with his obligations, but with the arrival of young Real Sociedad & Spanish International midfielder Asier Illarramendi he may want to move on this season.

However, if Xabi Alonso does decide to change Chelsea FC under Coach Jose Mourinho would be in the front running. Apart from the better offer from London, Xabi Alonso considers Mourinho one of the "Best Coaches" his been under & has an excellent professional relationship. Chelsea FC would welcome Alonso with open arms, plus local Football observers speculated that perhaps something was left open & agreed before Mourinho left Real Madrid.

Alonso is currently recovering from an operation from a persistent niggling injury & his recovery will also play a factor in his decision. All these unknowns has been one of the main reasons that Real Madrid has gone rapidly after Real Sociedad midfielder Illarramendi. The position where Xabi Alonso plays is strategic for Real Madrid & Illarramendi is the closest thing to Xabi Alonso.

REAL MADRID | XABI ALONSO ANNOUNCES HE WILL CONTINUE NEXT SEASON

Just a short post, but perhaps an important one for all the Real Madrid followers. Midfielder Xabi Alonso commented after the Liga match against Malaga last night that he will be staying next year.

Lets remember that Xabi Alonso informed the Club that he does not wish to renew his contract & that there was a possibility that he may have wished to leave at the end of the season. Observers cite that the player has waited to make a decision until the Club confirmed that the next Coach - if Mourinho leaves - would not be current Chelsea FC Coach Rafa Benitez. The two apparently had a serious fall out while they shared time at Liverpool FC.

REAL MADRID | XABI ALONSO REPLACEMENT CANDIDATES

It´s known that Real Madrid Spanish International midfielder Xabi Alonso ends contract in 2014 & that he hasn't renewed his contract. According to Spanish Sports daily "Marca" one of the reasons is that the "rumour" of a possible arrival of ex-Liverpool Coach Rafael Benitez was not to his liking. The Club in their sincere endeavour to want to renew Xabi Alonso for at least another 2 years has said that Benitez will not arrive & has began to attempt to convince the midfielder in staying.

While the Spanish Football Club attempts to change the mind of Alonso, the Club has to "cover its back" & find a substitute. This has become a top priority at Real Madrid with the added difficulty that there is no one in World Football with the specific characteristics of Xabi Alonso. The player is currently the central piece of the Real Madrid squad & the though of his possible departure is worrying the technical staff.

Said this, there are players of similar profiles, few as they are, they could mould into the team scheme, but the choice will have to be well studied & well chosen. Real Madrid is combing the Globe & has the following names & candidates down:

• Ilkay Gundogan (Borussia Dortmund)
• Rubén Pardo (Real Sociedad)
• Kondogbia (sevilla FC)
• Verratti (PSG)
• Javi García (Manchester City)
• Fernando (Gremio)

All top players in their Clubs but unknowns if they could fill the difficult space of a possible Xabi Alonso exit. Added to this, the Clubs that currently have the above players on their pay-roll know the Real Madrid urgent need & will take advantage to ask for high prices ( a high transfer figure ).

Stay tuned. Xabi Alonso may change his mind, or Real Madrid will announce a possible new incorporation to cover the Alonso departure this summer.

IF MOURINHO GOES TO CHELSEA WILL HE TAKE CRISTIANO RONALDO ?

All the news is coming out of England. The daily newspapers - "Sunday Express", "Daily Mirror"...etc - place Real Madrid Coach José Mourinho back at the English Premier League Club Chelsea FC next season. The trip to London last week by Mourinho heightened the speculation,  & the comment by the Portuguese Coach that he is committed to Real Madrid 100% until the end of the season ..."end of the season", has fuelled further the speculation.

However there are more clues, according to the English source "Express.co.uk", current Chelsea FC Coach Rafael Benitez has confessed to his "inner circle" that he does not see himself continuing at Chelsea FC next season because negotiations are very advanced for the return of José Mourinho. Plus Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has said he will only consider renewing with the Club if Mourinho returns.

But here is the big news, the one that could make Real Madrid nervous. According to "Sunday Express" & picked up locally by Barcelona based paper "Mundo Deportivo", Mourinho has asked Chelsea owner Abramovich to do everything possible to bring over Cristiano Ronaldo. There is even an economic figure written, pay Real Madrid around 70M€. Lets all remember that Cristiano Ronaldo has not renewed his contract with Real Madrid.

Continuing with the speculation  midfielder Xabi Alonso has already told Real Madrid that he will not continue, his relationship with Mourinho is excellent & a move with him to Chelsea FC is not "science-fiction".

If all these rumours are true, we are in for a "mini-revolution" at Real Madrid. The obvious objective is to win the Spanish Cup & Champions League so that Mourinho can leave on a winning note, but taking Ronaldo as well ? Remember both are represented by Jorge Mendes, super Football agent.

Conclusion, I would wait & see how things develop. If your a Real Madrid follower & fan I would take all this news as rumour, in fact there is no definite nor conclusive evidence, only circumstantial signs. Stay tuned!

REAL MADRID | XABI ALONSO ANNOUNCES TO CLUB HE WILL NOT RENEW CONTRACT

Spanish Football media ( radio & TV ) has let known what some observers were thinking, that Spanish International & Real Madrid midfielder Xabi Alonso will not be renewing his contract with Real Madrid. The player will be committing himself until June 30th of 2014 date which puts end to his current contract.

Alonso has notified the Club & the Club will be assisting him in a organic departure as reward to his impeccable show of professionalism & service to the Club during his term. Said this, Real Madrid will keep attempting to convince the player of staying a season or two more because Alonso is currently a fundamental piece of the team & his profile is unique in World Football. The Spanish Club which begins combing the World Football market for similar player realize that the endeavour will be difficult.

Xabi Alonso desires to finish off his career with a new adventure elsewhere. This has opened up the "pandora box" of speculations , with some thinking that the midfielder may return to Liverpool FC or,  with greater strength, return to the Club that introduced him, Real Sociedad.

Others, highlight the strong professional bond between Alonso & current Coach Mourinho, & speculate that the player may follow the Portuguese Coach if the latter decides to leave  Real Madrid.

Speculations & rumours apart, the news is that Xabi Alonso - barring changes - will be playing the remaining of this season & the next before leaving Real Madrid.

MARIO SUAREZ REPLACES XABI ALONSO IN SPANISH FOOTBALL TEAM LIST

REAL MADRID & Spanish International XABI ALONSO will not attend the upcoming SPAIN vs URUGUAY International Friendly in Qatar. Xabi Alonso suffers pains in his pubis & Coach Spanish National Coach Vicente Del Bosque has decided to leave the player out so he can recover. Real Madrid surely solicited the exemption as they would want Xabi fit for the upcoming Spanish cup semi-final 2º leg against FC Barcelona.

ATLETICO DE MADRID midfielder MARIO SUAREZ has been called up to take his place. This is a personal prize for the midfielder for his continued good performance foe his team were he is a regular & important element in the team set up.

WERE XABI ALONSO SERGIO RAMOS (DANI ALVES) UNETHICAL & DISRESPECTFUL IN FORCING THEIR YELLOW CARDS?

Source: Spanish Football Sports Blog /
REAL MADRID players SERGIO RAMOS & XABI ALONSO entered last Sundays game against Atletico de Madrid with 4 accumulated yellow cards to their names. They knew beforehand that if any of them were to receive a yellow card in their next game against Racing de Santander they would receive a 1 match suspension & miss the big FC BARCELONA clash the 10th of April. The solution to the dilemma in their minds (Clubs mind)? Force the referee in the Atletico game to show them a yellow card, thus serve their 1 match suspension against Racing & be assured their place against FC Barcelona. This some thing happened with FC Barcelona defender Dani Alves who also forced his 5 accumulated yellow card to assure his place against Real Madrid.

Is this professionally unethical? Should this type of systematic “manipulation” be allowed, are we all turning a blind eye or should the authorities punish such players actions?

Many commentators & Football observers have mentioned that the players involved, & their Clubs indirectly, have shown clear disrespect for their next playing opponent lowering their importance & their category thinking that they are lesser & worthy to be considered as a team were they can miss out playing without any problem. Also, what about the disrespect for the referees authority thinking they can manipulate them to their hearts content & at their will? Yes, the referees involved could have not fallen into the players scheming ways, & thus should perhaps also be punished as well for falling into their traps.

I´ll finish with this possible scenario. Imagine, Real Madrid travel to Racing de Santander without their two key players – Xabi Alonso & Sergio Ramos – as is the case. Imagine now that Real Madrid loses the game because of this, that is, they underestimated the potential & determination of Racing. Would not this be ironic, that justice be served in such a "cruel" manner with Real losing the League title at Racing instead of fighting it out with FC Barcelona. Lets hope this does not happen, right? Tweet

REAL MADRID: CRISTIANO RONALDO & XABI ALONSO PENALTY TALK (VIDEO)

It was last Sunday & REAL MADRID was leading 5-2. Cristiano Ronaldo
is tripped in the penalty area & it is given. Ronaldo had a goal
already, Higuaín & Kaká had two each & a “Hat-trick” would have
been nice. Cristiano Roanldo & Kaká take the penalties at Real
Madrid, but this occurred:

Xabi Alonso: “Cris, leave it to me”
Xabi Alonso: “I haven’t scored a goal as yet”
Xabi Alonso: “Allow me to put one in”
Xabi Alonso: “Come on”
C.Ronaldo: “The next one, I promise”
Xabi Alonso: “No, give me this one”
C.Ronoldo: “No, this one is mine”
Xabi Alonso: “Come on, gives us the ball”

Meanwhile the crowd shout “Raul, Raul, Raul”

Ronaldo finally gives in to Alonso´s requests.

By the way CR9 didn’t celebrate the goal. BUT THIS DOES NOT
MEAN there is any “bad feeling” between these two players
or within the Real Madrid camp. Although the national media are
looking for diffrent interpretations.

REAL MADRID SIGNS XABI ALONSO FROM LIVERPOOL FC

The final piece of the new REAL MADRID jig-saw puzzle LIVERPOOL
FC midfielder XABI ALONSO will be transferred for the agreed price
of 30M€ + 4€ in variable. Liverpool gave their OK to Real Madrid
yesterday & the player will sign for the next 4 years with a salary
of 4.5M€/year.

(photo: as.com)

Alonso will today do the medical exams, a press conference & join his
new team mates for the trip to the US for their round of scheduled
friendly matches. With this last signing Real Madrid has shut their
squad for 2009-2010 according to Director General Jorge Valdano.
Real Madrid has invested a total of 254M€ to reconstruct the team. Tweet

REAL MADRID - LIVERPOOL FC SHUT XABI ALONSO DEAL?

News from Barcelona based Sports daily “Sport” – repeat Barcelona
based – has published that LIVERPOOL FC & REAL MADRID have shut
the transfer deal of Spanish International midfielder XABI ALONSO.
Club Directives met yesterday in a first class Barcelona hotel to settle
the operation while Liverpool visited the city to play a friendly
against Spanish Club RCD Espanyol.

This news is NOT currently being picked up by Madrid media at all,
but “Sport” go on further to say that the transfer price is 32M€ in
cash plus 3M€ variable in accordance to objectives achieved by
Alonso at Real Madrid. What gives some "weight" to this rumour is
that from Madrid Sports paper “Marca” they publish that Liverpool
has already shut an agreement with AC ROMA for Alonso’s
replacement at Liverpool FC AQUILANI for 20M€.

As mentioned nothing is official except what “Sport” publish today.
Just to see that this news should not be taken as yet as truth, the
OTHER Barcelona based paper "Mundo Deportivo" publish that both
Clubs failed to get close to an agreement yesterday as Liverpool
wishes 35M€ in cash & 5M€ in variable.

REAL MADRID NEWS: XABI ALONSO IN THE NEXT 48 HOURS?

Spanish daily “Marca” puts on its cover that positions between
LIVERPOOL FC & REAL MADRID are getting closer, so much so that
according to the daily Liverpool has put a 48 hour deadline for the
Spanish Club to propose a “decent” offer for XABI ALONSO. The
desired price is reported to be around 30M€ + extras for incentives,
that is a reduction from the original asked price of 41M€.

(photo: marca.com)

Alonso has expressed to the Club that he desires to play at Real
Madrid & Liverpool has asked the player time to find a substitute
which apparently is AQUILANI from AC ROMA who has already
given his OK. Real Madrid desperately needs a player of Alonso´s
characteristics as they are weak in the play making & creative
midfield area as seen by their last two friendly games.

Staying with Liverpool FC, the signing of LIVERPOOL FC Spanish
International defender ARBELOA by REAL MADRID looks
imminent as well & is expected to be shut in the next days for
about 4M€

Lastly, while with Real Madrid, news is that AC MILAN is thinking
in HUNTELAAR.

REAL MADRID: LATEST ON XABI ALONSO - 25.07.09

What´s better than reading the Sports papers? Hearing it from the
source, the "horses mouth", LIVERPOOL FC Manager/Coach Rafael
Benitez:

Is this a strategic tactic to "educate" the Liverpool FC fans that
Rafa is the nice guy & Xabi the bad guy? Or is it sincere? The fact
is XABI ALONSO is´nt talking with his Coach, there is zero relation.

REAL MADRID: LIVERPOOL FC WILLING TO LET GO ALONSO FOR 37M€ & A PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT?

The English newspaper “The Times” (click) has more credibility than
most other English papers; however this news piece on LIVERPOOL
FC & XABI ALONSO still needs to be taken with a grain of salt. The
daily publishes that Liverpool FC will be willing to let go & sell its
Spanish International midfielder Xabi Alonso for 37M€ & a public
announcement from the player expressing his desire to leave the
English Club.

(photo of xabi alonso/marca.com)

At first glance it is still a huge sum of money for a midfielder, especially
knowing beforehand that REAL MADRID – the Club that is pushing –
is offering less than 25M€. But Real Madrid may find that it has no
choice because as mentioned here before Alonso is the missing piece
that the Spanish Club needs to make its next new project work as a
team & on the Football pitch.

The English daily adds it believes that Xabi Alonso will not travel
with his current Club for the Malaysian Tour. If all this is true – now its
pure speculation – then the ball again falls into Alonso’s & Real Madrid’s
camp. It’s their move!
