Spanish radio has advanced the news that Brazilian International & FC Barcelona right-back Dani Alves has signed with Paris St Germain. The defender ends contract this season with Barça & the latter has not wished to renew the player.
The Brazilian was free to negotiate his future without Barça & travelled to Paris after the Sunday Liga match against Rayo Vallecano to sign his contract. The agreement is for three seasons at a salary of 9M€/season, good contract to sail into the twilight of his career. Brazilian International & FC Barcelona right-back Dani Alves has been in the news in past season for everything apart from his Football. Outspoken (more a foot in the mouth personality) & a aficionado of outrageous fashion, the personality of the Footballer has worn thin the Barça fans & Club Directives. The player was "cocky" enough to say that he had plenty of offers & that Paris St Germain would most likely be his next destination before flying of to Brazil for the World Cup. His prediction has fallen through & Alves finds himself back at Barcelona with his tail between his legs ready to start pre-season with a Club & Coach that do not count with him for next season.
However, English Football Club Liverpool FC may solve the upcoming problem for Barça. According to English media sources Liverpool FC could have made an offer to FC Barcelona for Dani Alves. The English Club knowing that Barça does not wish to keep the Brazilian has made a 6M€ offer which beforehand is very low but understandable under the circumstances Alves & Barça find themselves in. The other "floating" option is the speculated interest from another English Premier League Club Arsenal FC. Lastly, allow me to remind you that the player wanted by FC Barcelona for the right-back position is Colombian International & Fiorentina player Cuadrado. The price has been put around 50M€ by the Italian Club, & although high for Barça the player has not been discarded. Stay tuned, Liverpool could have soon a new "fashion trend setter".
I have been accused of being biased, one sided, not objective regarding my below post on what I consider is not a red card, & a moment that radically altered the course of the REAL MADRID - FC BARCELONAChampions League 1ºst leg semi-final. I also make the point that the referee standards for the whole Champions League this season has been poor & not up to the standards called for this level.
I have no intention of entering in debates with people who are clouded with their own uncontrollable primitive - bread & circus - passions & freely hide behind "anonymous" tags to make free remarks that have no basis, no evidence & violate the fundamental right for everyone & anyone to express an opinion. I accept all options, except from "trolls" who claim I "have shown my true colours". In fact, I don't even follow either Clubs & really don´t give a damn who qualifies. I will not feed trolls.

The conclusion is that Pepe touches the ball & DOES NOT touch Alves, who throws himself on the ground to perform the habitual role of victim. Even ex Barcelona player "Lobo" Carrasco admits Pepe did not touch Alves. Conclusion? It is NOT a RED CARD, if anything, a yellow for showing the studs!
Said this, this wrong referee decision changed the whole course of the Football Match. Nothing more & nothing less said, except adding that referee Stark is a bad referee as past performance proves & that UEFA standards are poor. For those who cannot handle this simple & coherent observation go to another blog or Internet site & "vomit" your opinions on their comments sections. In fact do me & the mayority of the intelligent SFS readers the favour of never to return.

They knew beforehand that if any of them were to receive a yellow card in their next game against Racing de Santander they would receive a 1 match suspension & miss the big FC BARCELONA clash the 10th of April. The solution to the dilemma in their minds (Clubs mind)? Force the referee in the Atletico game to show them a yellow card, thus serve their 1 match suspension against Racing & be assured their place against FC Barcelona. This some thing happened with FC Barcelona defender Dani Alves who also forced his 5 accumulated yellow card to assure his place against Real Madrid.
Is this professionally unethical? Should this type of systematic “manipulation” be allowed, are we all turning a blind eye or should the authorities punish such players actions?
Many commentators & Football observers have mentioned that the players involved, & their Clubs indirectly, have shown clear disrespect for their next playing opponent lowering their importance & their category thinking that they are lesser & worthy to be considered as a team were they can miss out playing without any problem. Also, what about the disrespect for the referees authority thinking they can manipulate them to their hearts content & at their will? Yes, the referees involved could have not fallen into the players scheming ways, & thus should perhaps also be punished as well for falling into their traps.
I´ll finish with this possible scenario. Imagine, Real Madrid travel to Racing de Santander without their two key players – Xabi Alonso & Sergio Ramos – as is the case. Imagine now that Real Madrid loses the game because of this, that is, they underestimated the potential & determination of Racing. Would not this be ironic, that justice be served in such a "cruel" manner with Real losing the League title at Racing instead of fighting it out with FC Barcelona. News from England’s daily paper “Daily Mirror” reports the CHELSEA FC has not forgotten Brazilian right back & FC BARCELONA player DANI ALVES. In fact, the paper goes on to comment that Chelsea is preparing a massive offer for the player in an attempt to lure their prized "dream".
Remember Alves was close to signing for Chelsea but in the last minute the transfer was halted by Sevilla FC President Del Nido as being not enough. However since then Alves has settled wonderfully at FC Barcelona & is playing his best Football. The Brazilian is happy & professionally still in there with the possibility of winning the “Grand Three”: La Liga, Spanish Cup & Champions League titles for this season. His Barça contract release clause stand at 90M€, a relative “astronomical” figure considering he is a defender. Lastly, even if Chelsea did place 90M€ on the table & FC Barcelona did agree, the player would always have the final say & SFS thinks that he is totally in tune & happy were he is at this moment.
Rumours have it that Alves was seen signing this classic track in reference to Roman Abramovich during training today:)
