ZINEDINE ZIDANE LEAVES REAL MADRID

It´s the big news piece of today in Spanish Football, REAL MADRID Coach-Manager ZINEDINE ZIDANE has announced that he will NOT manage the team next season. The decision has been mediated & announced to Club President Florentino Perez yesterday to which it was made public this midday in a packed Press Conference. Real Madrid President Perez was visibly affected while Zidane transmitted an "air" of relief.

The official reason given by Zidane is that it was the correct moment to leave as he believes that the team needs new direction, a new motivational message & new ideas in order to keep on winning. After 3 years of titles & in particular 3 Champions League Titles in a row, Zidane feels that he cannot secure 100% this tendency & parts himself from Coaching the team.

He revealed that he has no intention of Coaching next season & will always be near to Real Madrid as it is the Football Club of his life. Added to this he highlighted his greatest moment was winning the Spanish Football League title - La Liga - while is hardest moment was when his team was eliminated from the Spanish Cup by Leganes this season. The demands & the expectations of success at Real Madrid are so strong that the pressure manages to erode most players & Coaches. 

Although this is a hard blow for the Real Madrid Directives & team catching everyone totally by surprise the Club has began moving on to replace Zidane. Already there are names doing the rumour circuit: Mauricio Pochettino (Nº1 candidate), Joachim Löw, Klopp, Wenger & ex player Guti. These are at this moment pure speculation although Pochettino & Low have sounded previously. 

Zinedine Zidane has also sounded as a future Selector-Coach for the France National Team. This will all depend on the performance by France in the coming World Cup Finals in Russia next month. A terrible performance & elimination will put the spotlight again on Zidane for France.

ZINEDINE ZIDANE TO LEAVE REAL MADRID

Spanish Football & Sports daily paper "Marca" has published today what many have suspected, that Real Madrid current second Coach Zinedine Zidane will leave the Club at the end of the season. However, it is going to be like a "boomerang" as the ex Real Madrid player & ex-Directive is destined to be the 1º Coach in the future.

Zinadine Zidane was initially reluctant to take on Coaching responsibilities after retiring. Instead he studied for a more formal Directive role where he was to take on the "suit & tie" with Real Madrid. However, as time went on he got the "Football Itch" & did his Coaching course to take on the 2º spot under Carlo Ancelotti to learn from the "Master".

The apprentice thinks that it is time to move on & gain the needed Coaching experience in the forefront with his own squad & Club. The Frenchman knows beforehand that he cannot take on the Real Madrid Coaching position before gaining experience & has settled a friendly departure with Real Madrid President Florentino Perez. The destination is still unknown but their are some rumours pointing to perhaps Monaco or even the French National Team.  

Zidane has been an important element within the Real Madrid team & Ancelotti staff acting as a bridge with the players. Zidane has been directly responsible for putting on the correct track Karim Benzema, while helping to adapt Rafael Varane & bring up to the senior team Jese. The ex Football star is very respected by all the players & gives his advise on how best to improve/tackle most Football situations. It is not unusual to see Zidane training & playing with the players during sessions as if he was part of the squad. 

A natural evolution which will see Zidane return to Real Madrid in the future.

THE RETURN OF KARIM BENZEMA ¿FOR HOW LONG?

Real Madrid & French International forward Karim Benzema is back in the news. The reasons are all positive as the player seems to have regained form after a terrible start to the season. So troubling was his "kick off" to the season that the Frenchman lost his place in the National Team & was virtually "on sale" at Real Madrid. 

One could say weeks back that Benzema could not score even at an empty goal, an exaggerated metaphor perhaps, but illustrative of how bad the Striker was in form & with his Football. Apart from this his on field efforts were full of apathy which earned him some severe whistles & fierce criticisms from fans, followers & local media. One could say that Benzema was undergoing his most complex & difficult period of his Football career with half a body out the Real Madrid door.  

Benzema was a virtual "Football Basket Case" which sent the alarms off with the Technical Team & the Club President Florentino Perez who has a certain favouritism towards the Frenchmen. This put into action Real Madrid 2º Coach Zinedine Zidane to become the mentor & psychologist of Benzema & attempt to recoup the "lost forward". The mere presence of Zidane transfers respect & it seems that his friendly advise & tender loving care has worked marvellously. Coach Ancelotti also put his hand in the fire for Benzema & that was an important moral booster.

The forward has lost 5 kilos putting in order his external & on-field life, with extra concentration in training & with lifted effort on the field which has been seen as the return of the "killer goal instinct" that was before absent. Karim Benzema can now say proudly that he currently has 8 Liga goals, 2 in Champions League & 3 with his National Team one of which was important to get them into Brazil 2014.

Good news for Benzema, Real Madrid & fans all round. However, the Frenchman must not fall back to sleep on his laurels - a natural tendency - as there is competition for his place. The local youngsters Morata & Jese are hungry & Real Madrid is rumoured to be still looking around for a "Numbre Nine" with names like Falcao, Sergio Aguero & even Lewandowski sounding which should keep Benzema on his toes.

Football Magazine "World Soccer" has asked the question, which is the "Best XI" of all time & the "Best Coach" ? To get an answer, the magazine, asked all its journalist correspondents  around the globe. The answers & voting were varied but there was overall consensus that gave the following players & Coach.

Yashin; Cafú, Bobby Moore, Beckenbauer, Maldini; Zidane, Cruyff, Di Stéfano, Maradona; Pelé & Messi.

Fabulous & awesome names indeed. I personally miss George Best ( Manchester United ) but this is my opinion. The only player actively playing Soccer professionally is Lionel Messi.

CARLO ANCELOTTI PRESENTED AS NEW REAL MADRID COACH

Real Madrid presented its new Coach Italian Carlo Ancelotti to a pack room of Spanish Sports media were apart from the understandable "nerves" & nice words the "headline" words were:

“Hay que ganar con un fútbol espectacular”

"You have to win with a spectacular football"

The Italian feels that a Club with the stature & prestige of Real Madrid cannot play in a any less manner or fashion.

Carlo Ancelloti also announced that Real Madrid & Football great Zinedine Zidane will be assisting him ( along with Paul Clement ) on the bench. Zidane will be continuing his formation as Football Coach & will be a vital "bridge" between the technical staff & the players. Zidane has set himself the goals to lift back into top form players like Karim Benzema & Ozil, while helping soon to sign Isco to adapt to the team.

Overall, nothing new in the presentation as the words of Ancelotti were as to be expected. What the Italian will have is plenty of work ahead to create a team that will win, play spectacular Football & keep everyone happy. There is "overbooking" in the midfield zone & Cristiano Ronaldo is gradually beginning to give signs of unease to the Club as speculations keep arising that the star maybe thinking of not renewing contract.

REAL MADRID | ZIDANE INSISTS IN SIGNING ISCO

Zinedine Zidane will have  a bigger role in Real Madrid next season. The Real Madrid President Florentini Perez wishes the Frenchman in a suit as Football Director, but Zidane prefers the tracksuit & has asked to be the assistant of the expected new Coach Carlo Ancelotti. However, the ex-Real Madrid player will continue advising the President on all "Sporting- Football" matters.  

Zidane recommended to Real young French defender Varane, plus has advised on the signing of Tottenham Hotspurs player Gareth Bale. According to Spanish radio & Spanish Sports daily "AS" Zinedine Zidane insists firmly on the signing of Spanish U-21 International & Malaga FC palyer ISCO.

There have been contacts already, as posted here weeks back, & there is a contract release clause of 35M€ that can be negotiated. However, the ex-Coach of Isco now at Manchester City, Manuel Pellegrini also wants the "Spanish Pearl" & has guaranteed Isco playing time & to be a vital piece of his new set-up. Real Madrid on the other hand is full of midfield stars ( Ozil, Modric, Callejon, Khedira, Xabi Alonso, Casemiro...) & cannot say the same which has discouraged Isco from saying 100% yes to Madrid & seriously thinking in Manchester City.

The young Spanish U-21 International is starring in the Israel UEFE U-21 Euro Championships & has caught the eye of everyone, & Zidane has been totally convinced that Isco is "World Class" for Real Madrid. So much so, that apparently he has personally advised & fully insisted that Isco become a Club signing priority.

To change the mind of Isco away from Manchester City, Real Madrid wants new Coach Carlo Ancelotti - if & when it happens - to sit down with the player & clear all his doubts. The player wants playing time & Real Madrid thinks that coming from the words of Ancelotti will sway his final decision their way.

REAL MADRID "FOLLOWING" FRENCH TALENTS GONALONS - GREINER OF LYON

Big Football Clubs are constantly looking for & at new talent, so this story coming out of France should not really surprise. This would be correct if it was any another Club than SPANISH FOOTBALL giant REAL MADRID. Football magazine France Football claims that Real Madrid is following very closely 22 year defensive midfielder MAXIM GONALONS & 20 year old attacking midfielder CLEMENT GREINER both of OLYMPIQUE DU LYON.

The news adds that Zinedine Zidane has had his attention grabbed thanks to his extensive French network of "talent spotters". The ex Real Madrid player has apparently advised the Spanish Football Club to "intensify" the surveillance of both players & see how they evolve.

Lets not forget that Zidane brought over young defender VARANE this season to Real Madrid & the player is not letting down anyone, in fact , many see Varane as the next big thing.

One of World Football greats, ex Cannes, Bordeaux, Juventus & REAL MADRID player, Frenchman ZINEDINE ZIDANE made the public announcement today that he will be the new FOOTBALL DIRECTOR of the REAL MADRID first team as off next Monday. The Frenchman was up till now personal advisor to Club President Florentino Perez & will now add to his responsibilities the Football "matters" of the A-Team.

Zinedine Zidane will be the "bridge" between the Club & the players & the "funnel" in the relationships between players, media & the public. A logical move that find synergies within the Club structure, an Institutional profile boost in prestige & image & a marketing bonanza that will extend the "Real Madrid" brand further around the World.

Zidane mentioned in his announcement that Coach Mourinho was a determining factor in his decision with President Florentino Perez being the final "heavy-weight" to convince the  ex player into taking up the position.

ENZO ZIDANE | LIKE FATHER LIKE SON ?

Apart that both wear ( wore ) the REAL MADRID CF uniform, they share DNA. The youngster is called ENZO ZIDANE ( born France, mother Spanish origin), is 15 years old & is causing a mini tug of war between the French Football Federation & the Spanish Football Federation. The son of French Football legend ZINEDINE ZIDANE is on the verge of jumping a level & into the National Team stage & Spain may call him up for U-17 duties, along with France. Who will young Enzo choose?


According to FIFA rules Enzo will be forever loyal ( cannot play for another ) to the National side that he decides to run onto a the field which is the A-team. That is,  until he plays a single minute with the Absolute Team ( Spain or France) , the young man can still have time to decide to whom he wishes to pledge his services. Therefore, even if Enzo plays for the Spanish U-17, 19 or 21 Teams, he could still play for France if he plays in the ABSOLUTE TEAM. The kid has sometime to think! Tweet

THE IVAN RUIZ STORY | HOW " BBVA CRACKS TV " ATLETICO DE MADRID SHATTERED HIS DREAMS & "DISTORTED" OTHERS | FALSE ADVERTISNG ?

This is an interesting & very human story on how Big Business “distorts” information, blemishes the image of Football, idols who eventually show how really "human" they are & in the process shatter the hopes & dreams of young people. Here is the brief & the rundown.

Last season the current Spanish League Corporative sponsor of the 1º Division & 2º Division, the Spanish Bank “BBVA”, approved & allowed to put in motion with associated partners the grand idea & marketing Plan called “Cracks TV”. The idea was to scout around Spain & the World potential young Football players & put the lucky chosen few into a “Football Academy” 24 hours to find the “next big star”. The whole action was backed by Football legends Zinedine Zidane & Enzo Francescoli who were the public image of this "historic" TV reality action that was sold as “revolutionary” & would give the chance to the luck winner to “play in the Best League in the World”. The winner chosen out of 17 candidates was promised to do the 2010 pre-season with Atletico de Madrid & thus open up the opportunity of possibly gaining a contract & playing in the Liga. Obviously this was totally up to the winner who had to show & demonstrate his talents, but one would expect that the winner of the “BBVA Cracks TV” Camp was sufficiently prepared & talented to be a worthy candidate for any Spanish 1º Division Team. The “BBVA Cracks TV” Academy had Zidane, Francescoli as advisors, plus a string of Top ex- Football professionals who played in the Spanish 1º Division training, educating & eventually choosing the “Best” candidate who they considered the next “Crack”.



The idea was great in theory; adapt the “Big Brother” format to Football, do a string of scouting days throughout Spain, Latin America & Asia, attract thousands of would be candidates & take this to the TV screen. Spanish TV “Cuarto” was the chosen media carrier & they were delighted as they could fill their TV space & sell advertising to companies selling products for a younger target. BBVA was delighted because to participate everyone needed to register on their webpage & thus increase the banks data base with “juicy” future clients information, plus they had the BBVA logo plastered all around Spain & the World, on the Internet, on TV, on the radio, on the press …etc. Lastly, all the partners involved could sell the "pitch line" that they were helping in creating dreams, supporting the youth & their ideals & doing some real Corporative Social Responsibilty for the good of Sport, Football & the society.

Today in Spanish paper “AS”, Sport journalist Javier Matallanas, comments on how things really were, & how things have ended with the eventual “BBVA Cracks TV" winner. According to the story, the winner of “BBVA Cracks TV”, Ivan Ruiz (below), never did the pre-season with the "senior" Atletico de Madrid ( Forlan, Aguero, Simao ...) as sold , promised & let believe, but with their B TEAM ( currently in 2º Division B Group II). Ivan Ruiz was not allowed & never got to play a game as promised by “BBVA Cracks TV” during the pre-season. Ivan Ruiz was sent home on the 16th of August without any explanation. The above journalist diplomatically writes that TV Cuarto & BBVA had no knowledge of this last action by Atletico de Madrid, but I don’t buy it as the money involved in the Marketing Idea was so huge that it would never have gone ahead without ALL PARTIES not leaving clear their intentions & their part in the deal.

According to the story in "AS", the winner of “BBVA Cracks TV”, the already mentioned Ivan Perez, is devastated at home with his Football dreams shattered. The winner of the TV reality that was meant to be the “next big thing in Football” was morally “mislead”.

An array of Football experts – coaches & players – travelled Spain & the World to come back with 17 candidates who were up to the levels needed & Ivan Ruiz won because these experts – including it seems Zidane & Francescoli – believed he was good enough for the Spanish 1ºst Division – or at least have the potential. The cruel reality is that since the end of the project there has reined a sinister silence over everything involved with “BBVA Cracks TV” with no follow up news from the sponsors - except the courtesy video below - on how the “prodigy Football child” was progressing. Nothing until today when Sports journalist Matallanas has exposed the truths behind this purely Marketing exercise that had in reality nothing to do with Football at all. Below is a video that could make one think that serves in helping to "cover-up" any future possible unforeseen problems that may arise. Ivan Ruiz is shown training in his first day with "At Madrid B", but his testamonial cannot be censured as he speaks of his dreams, to play in the Spanish 1º Division...& Spanish National Team!!!! Did not anyone tell Ivan that it was not going to happen? As already mentined above, At Madrid B sent the player home without explanations; apparently he didn´t make the grade for a 2ºDivision B Group II side (equivalente of a 4th Division elsewhere). How bad must be the opinions of Zidane (Real Madrid Presidential advisor) , Francescoli & the array of Football experts on "Cracks TV"?



The question arises. Is there a case of liable false advertising & marketing? Should the “BBVA Cracks TV” winner Ivan Ruiz take legal action against BBVA, Cuarto TV, Arroba (the advertising agency), Atletico de Madrid S.a …& everyone else involved for false communication & not delivering their part of the promised deal? In theory, if the "AS" story is correct , yes, but I think difficult to put in action as I suppose that the winner had to sign a load of contracts that would clean the hands of all involved from any legal action. Ivan Ruiz was so sold the idea of having a chance to become a professional Football player that he would have signed his soul to the devil himself if needed.

In conclusion, here is another example of how big business uses Sports to get to their desired target & attempt to sell their services & products. They enter the “life” of many under the message of doing good & improving Sports, but their real & only interest are profits; just ask the “BBVA Cracks TV” winner Ivan Ruiz. What about all the other actors involved; the TV station, Atletico de Madrid, Advertising Agency, Zidane, Francescoli, the ex players…bla bla bla? The business chewed the Sport; the money ruined the dreams of young Football players, the marketing shattered the dreams of Ivan Ruiz & the distortions tricked all of the rest of us.

ENZO ZIDANE | THE DILEMMA : PLAY FOR SPAIN OR PLAY FOR FRANCE?

ENZO ZIDANE is the 15 year old son of World Football French Legend ZINEDINE ZIDANE & is currently lifting eyebrows here in the REAL MADRID junior team & with Spanish Football observers. The youngster has apparently inherited the style & playing finesse of his father & may soon make a serious jump in level in his early career which calls for a mayor decision.

Enzo was born in France in 1995 & also has a Spanish passport thanks to his mother, both her parents are Spanish from El Chive town in the region of Almeria in Southern Spain. The Spanish Football Authorities are thinking in calling up young Enzo for the Spanish U 16 National Team, something that needs serious thought because if he decides to take the invitation the player will shut the door to the French National side. Something similar occured with FC Barcelona player Bojan Krkic who decided in favour of Spain over Serbia.

Apparently the final decision will be taken up & made on behalf of Enzo by his father Zinedine. Which country will they choose?

CHARITY MATCH | REAL MADRID 4 - AC MILAN 3 | VIDEO HIGHLIGHT

Hi, returned from a few days of relax in the country-side this weekend & back with charged batteries. As always plenty of things happening while away with Spain World Cup Team winning 3-2 Saudi Arabia in their International friendly, the Spanish National Football Team - U/17 - lossing the Final of the Euro U/17 Championships to England 1-2, Fernando Alonso 8th in the Turkish Formula 1 race, José Mourinho officially presented today (Monday) as new Real Madrid Coach...just to mention a few.

But today´s post is dedicated to the match played this weekend in Madrid by the veteran players of REAL MADRID & AC MILAN to raise funds for "Sudden Death Syndrome". ZINEDINE ZIDANE SUGGESTS REAL MADRID SIGN EDEN HAZARD - THE NEXT BIG FOOTBALL SOCCER STAR

French Football - Soccer - legend, ex REAL MADRID player & now Presidential advisor of the Spanish Club ZINEDINE ZIDANE has given is opinion about who he would sign right now & who will be the next big European star. Zidane in an interview to Spanish Sport paper “Marca” has named EDEN HAZARD as the “next best thing” in Football (Soccer).

The young promise is an 19 year old Belgium player currently with French Club LILLE OSC, already an International for his country Hazard is an attacking-midfielder that is catching the attention of most of the European Clubs. Zinedine Zidane in his role as advisor to Real Madrid President Florentino Perez has suggested that the Spanish Club shut the transfer of the Belgium player before some other Club takes him away.

However, the French club Lille has renewed the contract with Hazard until 2014, thus tying the youngster & putting barriers to the “hungry” European Clubs in his hunt ( eg FC Barcelona is another hovering).

Football Ambassador, an excellent move & marketing strategy by
the Spanish Club. In fact, the public appearance with the Real
Madrid squad travelling to Lyon, for tonight’s Champions League
clash, forms part of a greater picture & plan

Zidane has begun an apprenticeship at Real Madrid with the objective
of one day holding an important Directive post at the Club under
President Florentino Perez. Up until now he has exercised a Club role
in the “shadow” as the Presidents Consul, now he is expanding his
duties further as Ambassador & as the International image of the Club.
This has some clear objectives in mind of which, apart from Public
Relations & attracting media attention, travelling with the Club allows
the important establishing & creation of “Networking”. That is, the
building up of personal relationships with influential & International
key Football personalities that stretch from players, managers,
representatives, authorities, media…etc y etc.

To highlight the enthusiasm & dedication that Zidane has come into
his new role, the ex-Real Madrid star is doing this “job” free, that is,
he is not receiving a salary from the Spanish Club as he is in a
“learning period” were he desires to know everything there is to
know about Football Club management & the Real Madrid institution.

In conclusion, it’s great to see the French Football legend back & its
smart of Real Madrid to have their ex-star onboard. There is no one
better, especially for the youth, to sell the Spanish Club around the

ZIDANE PRAISES YOUNG BELGIUM 18 YEAR OLD HAZARD.

ZINEDINE ZIDANE will be the Football Consultant & REAL MADRID
Ambassador under virtual new President Florentino Perez. With
this in mind his thoughts & comments have an impact & influence
directly over the President that needs some analysis.

According to local sports daily “AS”, Zidane has commented to
Belgium media “De Morgen” about a young Belgium Football talent
that has the Frenchman over the moon.The young player is an 18
year old called HAZARD, a midfielder that plays for French team
LILLE who has been voted the Best Young Player in the French
League & is already International for BELGIUM. Zinedine Zidane
mentioned that “…I would take him with me to Real Madrid with
y eyes closed”. As is expected other big names Clubs are hovering
the young players nest, as Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United
& Inter Milan. Having said this, stay tuned for future developments
as the words of Zidane now have special significance & weight.
