Football Ambassador, an excellent move & marketing strategy by
the Spanish Club. In fact, the public appearance with the Real
Madrid squad travelling to Lyon, for tonight’s Champions League
clash, forms part of a greater picture & plan

Zidane has begun an apprenticeship at Real Madrid with the objective
of one day holding an important Directive post at the Club under
President Florentino Perez. Up until now he has exercised a Club role
in the “shadow” as the Presidents Consul, now he is expanding his
duties further as Ambassador & as the International image of the Club.
This has some clear objectives in mind of which, apart from Public
Relations & attracting media attention, travelling with the Club allows
the important establishing & creation of “Networking”. That is, the
building up of personal relationships with influential & International
key Football personalities that stretch from players, managers,
representatives, authorities, media…etc y etc.
To highlight the enthusiasm & dedication that Zidane has come into
his new role, the ex-Real Madrid star is doing this “job” free, that is,
he is not receiving a salary from the Spanish Club as he is in a
“learning period” were he desires to know everything there is to
know about Football Club management & the Real Madrid institution.
In conclusion, it’s great to see the French Football legend back & its
smart of Real Madrid to have their ex-star onboard. There is no one
better, especially for the youth, to sell the Spanish Club around the
