Hi, returned from a few days of relax in the country-side this weekend & back with charged batteries. As always plenty of things happening while away with Spain World Cup Team winning 3-2 Saudi Arabia in their International friendly, the Spanish National Football Team - U/17 - lossing the Final of the Euro U/17 Championships to England 1-2, Fernando Alonso 8th in the Turkish Formula 1 race, José Mourinho officially presented today (Monday) as new Real Madrid Coach...just to mention a few.
But today´s post is dedicated to the match played this weekend in Madrid by the veteran players of REAL MADRID & AC MILAN to raise funds for "Sudden Death Syndrome". The game was played in the "Santiago Bernabeu Stadium" & Real Madrid won 4-3. Here is a VIDEO of the highlights & all the goals. SFS FLASHBACKS: EMILIO BUTRAGEÑO
Emilio Butrageño – “El Buitre” (The Vulture) – was a legendary REAL
MADRID forward who mesmerized literally defenders & fans. His great
technique was to come to a halt with the defender hypnotized looking at his
feet to see how in a “lighting move” he won sufficient space to score goals.
Emilio Butrageño debuted for Real Madrid in 1984 & retired from the Club
in 1998 earning himself a place in Club & Spanish Football History as one of
the great quality forwards of all time, a real goal square predator as his nik
suggusts.
A gentleman on & off the pitch – never saw a Red Card in his career – he
later went on to take a Directive role in the Florentino Perez Presidency
to serve the Club with his Economic & MBA expertise. Here is a VIDEO
