REAL MADRID HAS DE ROSSI ON THEIR AGENDA - AGAIN ?

It´s that time again of the season when it has turned the final curve & the finish line is in sight that Football Clubs begin to think about the next season & Football players representatives position themselves to put their "stock" on sale & in the prime points on the shopping shelves. REAL MADRID,  as always,  is talked about now & all year round, as rumours begin to appear on a daily basis.


There has been rumours that Real Madrid as asked - the word is asked - about Napoli forward CAVINI. However, Spanish Sports daily "Marca" have gone against the grain & given their apparent exclusive in reference to Real Madrid , as they "pride" themselves with this journalistic talent even if correct or wrong. At least we have this categorical  front cover to immortalize the paper as proof: if they get it right,  they deserve the Spanish Sports title, if they get it wrong, this front cover can join the many others that illustrates the speculative nature of the sporting press.

The story says REAL MADRID has chosen AC ROMA midfielder DE ROSSI with big titles: "DE ROSSI YES or YES", then in smaller titles: "25M€ is the maximum that Madrid will pay Roma". The description continues on saying:

"He has the profile wanted by Mou: creative, dynamic & determinate"
"The Roman midfielder takes the "pole" position over Cesc & Schweinsteiger"

So we have two other names, therefore its more a desire than a firm event.

De Rossi has been on the agenda of Real Madrid for many seasons & this alone gives this story some credibility & weight. However, as always, Football changes rapidly & what is white today is black tomorrow.

All I can say at this point is, stay tuned! This will not be the first name & the first cover that we will see as firm candidates for Real Madrid next season. Spanish Sports paper Marca will continue doing their investigative sports journalism & give us more fantastic covers i coming days, weeks & months.

REAL MADRID: JAVI MARTINEZ ON AGENDA IF DE ROSSI FAILS

The popular daily late night TV (Digital Terrestrial Channel) program
on Football called “Punto Pelota” gave us the exclusive weeks back
via its presenter Josep Pedrerol that REAL MADRID had AC ROMA
midfielder DE ROSSI in mind for next season. The popular journalist,
backed by his regular panel of local Football “in the know” journos &
personalities, assured that the Real Madrid technical staff see a need
to reinforce their midfield with a player of De Rossi’s
characteristics. It was further acknowledged that the signing of the
AC Roma player would be a difficult affair because he is a vital
piece for the Italian Club & that his market price may get out of the
logic bounds, bearing in mind that Real Madrid – just by name –
inflates the market.

Well, last night on the same show, Josep Pedrerol again gave an
"exclusive" on his program & mentioned that Real Madrid has a Plan
B in case De Rossi did not eventuate. The chosen player is the 21
year ATHLETIC DE BILBAO midfielder JAVI MARTINEZ who many
cite as the “next big thing” to explode in Spanish Football. His
characteristics have lead to comparisons with French International
Patrick Viera but with more goal scoring abilities. The youngster
not only has the remarkable ability in destroying the opposition
attacking play-making he also is able to get himself rapidly into an
attacking position to score goals, with the head being one of his
main weapons.

The news source comes from “insiders” when Real Madrid & Athletic
Bilbao top officials celebrated heir protocol lunch together before
both teams meet in their last “Liga” game at “San Mames”. There
Real Madrid President Florentino Perez asked directly his Bilbao
counterpart for the player & his conditions. The player has a contract
release clause of 30M€ which is accessible for Real & would give a
grand profit to Bilbao who signed the player for 6M€.

REAL MADRID: AC ROMA DE ROSSI A PRIORITY?

A daily Spanish late night TV Football program, full of journos who
analyze the Spanish Football scene, has made their “scoop” go viral.
According to the show, they have first hand information that REAL
MADRID has AC ROMA Italian International midfielder DE ROSSI as a
signing priority for next season. They go on to add that Real Madrid
technical staff considers the Italian as the ideal partner for Xabi
Alonso in the midfield.

Spanish Sports daily “AS” has picked up this news & developed it
further today, citing that De Rossi has been on the Real Madrid
agenda in the past. Last season, under ex-President Calderon, the
Spanish Club made an effort to sign the player but found a 40M€
price tag that shut the doors. The hypothetical arrival of De Rossi
would have to be accompanied by the departure of current
midfielders at Real Madrid, such as Gago & M.Diarra.

Said all this, SFS reminds you that it is rumour & that apart from
Rossi there is a long list of players on the Real Madrid agenda
for next season: Ribery, Silva, Aguero, Villa, Cesc Fabregas, Luis

CESC FABREGAS ENTERS THE REAL MADRID ORBIT?

Spanish daily “Marca” must have the direct channel to REAL MADRID
as they keep on surprising us on the upcoming transfer moves &
grooves. This morning they put on their cover that Real Madrid was
going after AC ROMA midfielder DANIELE DE ROSSI as an alternative
to their prime objective XABI ALONSO of Liverpool FC who has
drifted due to the high economic pretensions of Liverpool FC.

This afternoon on the digital edition of “Marca” it inform us that AC
ROMA have refused the 30M€ offer to sell their star 26 year old
midfielder & thus has forced REAL MADRID to go on & prepare a
PLAN C: CESC FABREGAS. The Spanish team has not as yet made a
formal offer to ARSENAL as they are reported to be currently
preparing a bid that will satisfy the English Premier League Club. Last
week English media published that Arsenal would look favourably at
a transfer for their Captain if an offer of about 50M€ came in. Real
Madrid believes they can negotiate this price down with new
formulas or inclusion of a player into the operation.

As the Spanish daily says, Real Madrid hasn’t given in on Xabi
Alonso, but they are working on an alternative – Cesc Fabregas – in
case they fail to convince Liverpool FC. Interesting news from
“Marca” that is at this point pure speculation or a diverting tactic,
however do stay tuned to SFS for developments.

REAL MADRID & FC BARCELONA: TRANSFERS COMPETITION - FRANCK RIBERY, XABI ALONSO, DE ROSSI & CESC FABREGAS

The signing season still has a way to go – until 31st of August - &
anything can happen, however for the moment REAL MADRID is
having difficulties with two key prospects. Firstly FRANCK RIBERY
is drifting further away on a daily basis, with a hard-line BAYERN
MUNICH that does not wish to sell the German – or at least to Real
Madrid - & have put a “mind blowing” 80M€ price tag. Real Madrid
General Director Jorge Valdano has already said on Spanish media
that it is too high & that if player is willing the Club will wait
patiently for next season. Secondly, XABI ALONSO gets difficult after
LIVERPOOL FC placed a 47M€ transfer price that has surprised many
including REAL MADRID. The Spanish International was priced 20M€
last season in an aborted attempt to sell to Juventus, but this year
it seems the only team with cash is Real & everyone wants a piece
of the action.

REAL MADRID Director General Jorge Valdano also spoke to Spanish
media about this & mentioned that although Real is still interested in
Xabi Alonso & will keep negotiating if the price lowers, they are
already working on PLAN B. The cover of Spanish daily “Marca”
publishes that the Plan B player is AC ROMA midfielder DANIELE DE
ROSSI & that Real Madrid is willing to pay 30M€ to get the Italian
International over to Madrid.

This is the latest. But other speculation from “Mundo Deportivo”
is that FC BARCELONA under instructions from Coach Guardiola
will make a serious attempt to convince Bayern Munich for Franck
Ribery. The Club is willing to make a record bid of 60M€, if that
fails they will then go onto the other option of CESC FABREGAS
who has a 46M€ price tag according to English media. Coach
Guardiola sees Ribery as vital in his scheme of things & desires
that FC Barcelona at least make an effort & compete with Real
Madrid & Chelsea FC , but he also realises that Bayern is firm &
it looks like the Germans will not sell under any circumstances.

In all cases, we will have to wait & see as negotiations tighten &
weaken in the normal process of play with each agent asking for
the maximum benefit in this Football poker game. Anything is
possible, new names will appear as the transfer market twists &
turns, plus as said earlier the market doesn’t shut until the 31st of
August.
