Spanish Football Club MALAGA is turning out to be the big spender this summer in terms of signings putting the usual big buyers like Real Madrid , FC Barcelona, Atletico de Madrid, Valencia CF ...etc on a second & third level. Malaga was bought last season by Arab Sheik & multi - millionaire Abdullah Al Thani who saw initially how his newly acquired Club went through some terrible moments close to the relegation zone & saving its LIGA position in the last few rounds with an experience that one imagines he does not wish to go through again next season. This is why the Sheik is pouring in the "petrol dollars" with multiple signings already like Sergio Sánchez, Toulalan, Joaquín, Buonanotte, Monreal, Van Nistelrooy & Mathijsen, with WESLEY SNEIJDER now sounding out from Italy.

Yes, you read it right. According to Italian sources which have been picked up by local Spanish Sports paper "AS", MALAGA is moving strings to get the Dutchman over for the next season. But the news goes further, Italian paper "La Reppublica" publishes that INTER MILAN would look favourably with their "green-light" at a supposedly 35 - 40 M€ offer from Malaga. Being this the case, the final decision may well be up to WESLEY SNEIJDER who has reportedly interest from English Premier League Club Manchester United.

Said all this, one should take this news for what it is, a rumour at this stage with the need for further proof & more facts before one can really being to speculate about a possible return by Sneijder to Spanish Football.

What is beyond any doubt is that Malaga is going ahead with a very serious project & investing heavily to put themselves amongst the Spanish Football elite with European competition participation a prime objective. The list of other possible still to come signing candidates is long with Cazorla (Villareal) , Drogba (Chelsea FC) & Pastore (Palermo) all sounding as targets.

SPANISH PAPER PREDICTS XAVI HERNANDEZ WINNER OF FIFA GOLDEN BALL AWARD 2010

Barcelona based Sports Daily “Mundo Deportivo” has elaborated their own survey on which players are the favourites for this year FIFA Golden Ball Award 2010. According to the paper they have interviewed 75 World Football personalities; active players, international Coaches & retired prestigious players, to give an orientation of how things will go before FIFA announces officially the 3 candidates next Monday.

The survey conclusion gives the following result: the three candidates would be Xavi Hernandez, Andres Iniesta & Lionel Messi. The surprise is that Inter Milan & Dutch International Wesley Sneijder does not make the cut.


The Spanish Sports paper prediction is that this year’s winner will - as well - be FC Bareclona midfielder XAVI HERNANDEZ, with second place going to Andres Iniesta & third place to Lionel Messi., a clean sweep for Barça.


Remember, this news piece comes out of a Barcelona based newspaper, interviewing 75 World Football personalities of which there is a bulk that are retired & have no voting rights. Thus at this moment it is all pure speculation & we all must await the official FIFA announcement. Said this, the “Mundo Deportivo” research exercise does serve to orientate us & the betting houses have taken note making Xavi “hot” favourite.

FIFA GOLDEN BALL 2010 | XAVI HERNANDEZ ANDRES INIESTA APPARENT HOT FAVOURITES

There seems to be two firm favourites for this years “FIFA Goleen Ball” 2010. According to Barcelona based Sports daily “Sport” (couldn’t be any other ) two FC BARCELONA players XAVI HERNANDEZ & ANDRES INIESTA will be “fighting” it out. Apparently, the votes have been already done & shut between the World Press journalists with “France Football” “sources” hinting that Iniesta has the advantage. However, the same daily mentions, that the voting from World Team Captains & National Coaches gives Xavi Hernandez the edge. In any case everyone has until the 30th of November to decide their vote with two decisive matches beforehand: tonight’s Portugal vs. Spain Friendly International & the Spanish League “Classic” between FC Barcelona vs. Real Madrid.

On the 6th of December it is scheduled the announcement of the Top 3 candidates after all the votes have been filtered & counted. The winner will be given his award the 10th of January in Zurich in a star studded ceremony of World Football.

REAL MADRID: WESLEY SNEIJDER SAYS YES TO INTER MILAN

According to Italian Sports media “La Gazzetta dello Sport” &
announced as official here in Spain by Spanish daily “Marca”,
REAL MADRID midfielder WESLEY SNEIJDER has understood
that REAL MADRID will not count with him for this season,
or any other, & has finally accepted to be transferred to
INTER MILAN.

The deal is said to be 15M€ plus 3M€ in accordance with negotiated
“variables &/or objectives”; Sneijder signs for 5 years & will receive
around 4M€/year as his salary.

INTER MILAN: SNEIJDER BACKS DOWN AT LAST MOMENT

The Italian media were partially correct today when they announced
that REAL MADRID midfielder WESLEY SNEIJDER was to grab a plane
& fly off to Milan to shut the transfer deal with INTER MILAN.
However, in the very last moment the Dutchmen went back on his
intentions deciding to stay in Madrid alleging “personal reasons”

It´s no secret that Real Madrid & INTER MILAN are in total agreement
with the possibility of transferring Sneijder over to Milan for a fee of
15M€. The Dutch player is conscious that Real Madrid doesn’t count
with him this season, that his number 10 has been withdrawn & given
to Lass Diarra & that Real will not enlist him for the new Liga season,
but Sneijder wishes to stay at Real & has threatened to take legal
action if he is not given a place. As we all know legal actions take
time & the South African World Cup is around the corner, Sneijder
risks losing his place in the Dutch national side if he stays sidelined
this season.

It´s difficult times for the midfielder & he has to make a tough
decision either way, lets hope it’s the correct one for him & his
future.

PS. This is a SFS idea (a wild hunch). Atletico de Madrid will do a last
minute signing if they ensure a Champions League place tonight
against Panathiniakos. They need a creative & decisive midfielder.
Is Sneijder & At Madrid waiting to see what happens tonight? Can
Sneijder´s desire to stay in Madrid be enough to consider a move
to Atletico?

I have no idea. Just throw it in!

LATEST: According to Spanish sports daily "Marca", Sneijder met
this afternoon with Coach Pelligrini & Club Director General
Jorge Valdano & convinced them both that he wishes to stay at
the Club & that he could be valuebale asset. Let´s see if this is

INTER MILAN GOES AFTER WESLEY SNEIJDER

Could this be the last goal that WESLEY SNEIJDER scores for REAL
MADRID?



The news is hot from Italy & its doing the rounds here as well. Italian
Club INTER MILAN is apparently sending Sports Director Marco Branca
to Madrid to negotiate with Real the transfer of Wesley Sneijder.
The offer is around 20M€ & the Club will offer the Dutchman 4M€/year
salary & a 4 year contract. The loss of Inter midfielder Cambiasso
to serious injury has accelerated the negotiation process as Inter
sees in Sneijder as his substitute. However, Wesley Sneidjer has
said in the pass that he wishes to stay at Real Madrid & it will be his
- only his -decision if the deal with Inter goes ahead or not.

Weeks back Real Madrid Coach Pellegrini said in a press conference
that he counted with the player for this season. But it seems his
superiors see the need to get some cash into the bank account &
the urgent need to cut the squad numbers as greater priorities &
objectives for the Club.

REAL MADRID: WESLEY SNEIJDER TO STAY

One man who should be smiling with new found relief is REAL
MADRID midfielder WESLEY SNEIJDER after new Coach Manuel
Pellegrini commented in today’s post training press conference
that he counts with the Dutchmen for this season.

It’s common knowledge that Real Madrid has to let go players of
whom the majority are from its Dutch contingent. Real Madrid has
an agreement with German Club Stuttgart for Huntelaar & is awaiting
the player’s decision, while Van Der Vaart, Van Nistelrooy, & Royston
Drenthe have all been advised to look for other Clubs. The last
Dutchmen with an uncertain future is Arjen Robben whos place in
next seasons squad depends if Real Madrid manages the transfer of
Franck Ribery from Bayern Munich.

It was obvious today that Wesley Sneijder was in a better mood as
his face showed during training. Now he has to live up to the
confidence that his Coach has placed on him. Finally one thinks that
Real Madrid wishes to keep the Dutchmen in case the attempts to
bring Liverpool FC Spanish midfielder Xabi Alonso fail.

REAL MADRID: WESLEY SNEIJDER IN THE MIND OF CHELSEA FC?

According to English paper “News Of The World” ( that in itself
maybe dodgy) , CHELSEA FC has shifted its interest for BAYERN
MUNICH Frenchmen FRANCK RIBERY & placed its sights on REAL
MADRID midfielder WESLEY SNEIJDER.

Real Madrid paid 27M€ for the Dutchmen & is on the “list” of players
for sale. However, Sneijder has already expressed his desire to stay
at Real Madrid, but a good team & offer may change his mind. Other
Clubs rumoured to have shown interest are Juventus, Inter & Bayern
Munich. This last Club is also sounding with Wesley Sneidjer entering
in a possible operation ( along with Real team-mate Robben) is a
Franck Ribery offer from Real Madrid to Bayern.

REAL MADRID: MAICON FOR WESLEY SNEIJDER + 20M€? WHAT ABOUT CLICHY?

Everyone wants to get into the act, or at least get some of the
circulating cash that is & will flood the market. Thinking again,
perhaps it’s a case of the opportunists seeing a deal where others
are slow. INTER MILAN Coach José Mourinho rightly asks if REAL
MADRID have Cristiano Ronaldo & Kaká, where will WESLEY
SNEIJDER play? Plus if Real Madrid is looking for a defender &
MAICON is the player they are thinking in, why not do a deal?

According to Italian paper “La Gazzette dello Sport” that is precisely
what Inter is offering Real Madrid; their Brazilian defender Maicon for
Wesley Sneijder & between 18 + 20M€ (click).That´s simple on paper,
but what if Real Madrid wishes to use the Sneijder option with another
player (e.g. Ribery for example)? What if Sneijder refuses to leave
Real Madrid? What if Maicon is not really the defender that Real
Madrid wishes finally as there are reports from Italy that he was one of
Adriano´s nightlife partners in "crime"?

SFS says this because from England - "The Independent" - reports
come in that Real Madrid are interested in ARSENAL defender
GAEL CLICHY. Apparently new Coach Pellegrini has asked for the
23 year old Frenchman.This player will be difficult to pull away
from London as he is a vital piece of the Arsenal set up.

REAL MADRID: SNEIJDER & VAN DER VAART FOR FRANCK RIBERY?

Here is more news about REAL MADRID & FRANCK RIBERY, & frankly
– excuse the punt – there is a new & interesting twist. BAYERN
MUNICH asks 60M€ for their French International, so Real Madrid
may offer two men that their new Coach Van Gaal has asked for,
VAN DER VAART & WESLEY SNEIJDER. Spanish sporting paper
Marca has announced the idea on its digital edition & if accepted
the transfer operation could turn out to be “free”, or at least very
economical.

Far out idea? Maybe, but rational & it illustrates that the desire by
Real Madrid to get Ribery over is true & that they are working on

REAL MADRID 2009 TRANSFER GOSSIP & RUMOURS: VAN NISTELROOY, RIBERY & SNEIJDER

Let’s kill a couple of birds with one stone (or better said with a
single post). A few interesting news pieces have appear this
afternoon on the Spanish sporting press digital editions ,
especially “AS” & "Marca", all making reference to REAL MADRID.

Firstly, according to Turkish sources, concretely Turkish media
Milliyet, a GALATASARAY official Haldun Ustunel flew to Holland
to come to an agreement with REAL MADRID forward VAN
NISTELROOY for next season. This may have some truth if the
Dutch forward senses that he does not enter into the plans of Real
Madrid Presidential candidate - & expected winner – Florentino
Perez. Until now it is pure speculation.

Ex Real Madrid player ZINEDINE ZIDANE has publicly acknowledged
that he will have a decisive executive role in the Florentino Perez
team, if the latter wins next months Presidential elections. This is
old news, the interesting comment came latter when he insinuated
– quiet directly- to Europe 1 media that if he had to make a choice
he would choose FRANCK RIBERY over CRISTIANO RONALDO

Speaking of Ribery, local media “Marca” & German paper “TZ” have
assured that BAYERN MUNICH would look favourably at transferring
its French International to REAL MADRID if WESLEY SNEIJDER
entered into the operation – plus some cash obviously. INTER MILAN
has also enquired about the Dutch midfielder, BUT Sneijder has
recently said that he wishes to make a success of his Real Madrid
adventure.
