SPANISH SPORTS | SPANISH RIDER MARQUEZ WINS - MAKES MOTO GP HISTORY

Spanish Sports has another promise that has made Sporting History. Spaniard Marc Marquez has become the youngest rider ever to win a race in the GP category. The 20 year old takes the "historical record" off Freddie Spencer of 21 years of age when he won back in 1983.

The Moto 2 World Champion lifted category this season & has rapidly began the season as the "sensation" after only two races. Today in Austin ( Texas USA ) the GP race ended:
1. 93 Marc Márquez HONDA 00:43:42.123
2. 26 Dani Pedrosa HONDA +00:00:01.534
3. 99 Jorge Lorenzo YAMAHA +00:00:03.381
All three places went to Spanish riders. The Honda youngster is headed for big things this season & with him Spanish Sports in a Sport that is currently dominated by Spaniards in all three categories.

Next race is in Jerez, Spain & promises to be awesome.

SPANISH SPORTS | MARQUEZ - LORENZO CLAIM MOTO WORLD TITLES

While most of Spain slept two Spanish Sportsmen & Moto riders proclaimed themselves 2012 WORLD CHAMPIONS in Australia. The difference in time zones discouraged many to wake up at 04.00 am to watch live the AUSTRALIAN MOTO GP CHAMPIONSHIPS, however the final results & excellent Spanish Sports news were beamed immediately.

World Champion 2012

JORGE LORENZO needed only 3 points to mathematically claim the 2012 MOTOGP World Championship & he did so after title rival Spaniard Dani Pedrosa fell & withdraw from the race. Jorge Lorenzo finished second behind Australia Casey Stone who wanted to win retiring with a home victory.

Its the second GP World title for Lorenzo making him the Spaniard with most GP titles in the History of the Sport.

World Champions 2012

Spanish rider MARC MARQUEZ proclaimed himself mathematically 2012 MOTO 2 WORLD CHAMPION after finishing third in his Moto 2 race. Its his second World Title, the first being in the 125cc category. The rider will now jump to the MOTOGP category next season where he will take the place left vacant by retiring Casey Stoner in the Honda team having countryman Dani Pedrosa as team-mate.

SPANISH SPORTS | NICO TEROL 125cc GP WORLD CHAMPION

SPANISH SPORTS has a new World Champion. NICO TEROL proclaimed the World Title of the 125 cc MOTO GP category after his nearest rival Johann Zarco retired from the last race of the season falling at the Cheste (Valencia) circuit. This gave & secured the points for the Spaniard who just needed to finish the race

The winner of the 125 cc race was Spaniard Maverick Viñales ( who looks like soon being a future World Champ; sub -World Champ 2011), second was Terol & third another Spaniard Faubel.

MOTO GP SAN MARINO | SPANISH RIDERS WIN IN ALL 3 CATEGORIES

Excellent day at the track - Motorbike track - for SPANISH SPORTS with Spaniards proclaiming themselves winners in all three categories of the SAN MARINO MOTO GP

Current Spanish World Champ JORGE LORENZO put in a great race to win & cut back a few points in the World title table against Australian Casey Stoner. The Yahama team has worked hard to find some extra power for their bike & today Lorenzo showed how good he & his bike were from the start. Spanish Rider DANI PEDROSA came in a grand second after overtaking a tired team-mate Casey Stoner who himself claimed post-race that he has not been recovering from his tiredness these last days & that effected him today.

The Australian still has a comfortable cushion in the World Championship points table & looks hot favourite with 5 remaining races. Said this, Lorenzo will take things race by race as anything can still happen.

Spaniard MARC MARZQUEZ again showed why many consider him the "next Rossi" with another victory that cuts back the lead from current WC table leader Bradl. A true exhibition of riding by the 18 year old that has GP team Honda seriously looking at the youngster for the following season. The next 5 races promise to be exciting as Marquez has the World Championship in his sights.

Spaniard NICO TEROL won the 125cc category in the very last breath after Zarco looked back before crossing the line - did something unexplained - to lose & give Terol the victory. The Frenchmen was asked post-race what he had done & Zarco responded "I dont know". Spaniard EFREN VAZQUEZ put in an excellent race & came in third.

NICO TEROL keeps looking ahead as he attempts to consolidate his WC table place in the next 5 races.

MOTO GP CZECH REP 2011 | BAD DAY AT THE RACES FOR SPANIARDS

Spanish MotoGP riders had a relatively bad day at the Czech Rep Gran Prix in all categories disputed this afternoon. The highest placed rider was young MARC MARQUEZ in the Moto 2 category who took the flag to second place, while ALBERTO MONCAYO managed a third in the 125cc category.

Surprisingly no Spaniard gained podium in the MOTO GP category after Dani Pedrosa fell off his bike & Jorge Lorenzo made a bad tyre choice & paid for it dearly finishing in fourth position. The winner CASEY STONER opens up a 32 point gap with Lorenzo which gives him a very handy & hard to get back lead for the World Championship title.

SPANISH SPORTS | GOOD RESULT IN USA MOTOGP

Good day for SPANISH SPORTS & Sportsmen in the USA MOTO GRAN PRIX at the famous "Laguna Seca" race circuit. Only category MotoGP with a beautiful race between three extraordinary riders which dominated proceeding, with two Spaniards in that elite group. Aussie CASEY STONER won with a perfect performance coming from third to end up winning, ahead of current World Champ JORGE LORENZO & fellow countryman DANI PEDROSA.

Although both Spanish riders never mentioned it in their post press conference & acknowledged that Stoner won in true fashion, both Spanish riders carried injury & fatigue into this race. Pedrosa is still weak from his collar bone operations & got tired feeling the strain & Lorenzo fell yesterday & had his hip soar which caused pain all race. But as said, no excuse as Stoner overtook Pedrosa mid way & then Lorenzo who had lead all the way up to the last half dozen or so laps.

SPANISH SPORTS | SPANIARDS WIN ALL THREE CATEGORIES IN ITALIAN MOTO GRAN PRIX

SPANISH SPORT lived  spectacular moments in Italy today in the ITALIAN MOTO Gran Prix with Spaniards winning in all three categories. The races were as expected emotional & with exciting comebacks in 125 cc & MotoGp that will be remembered this season.

Jorge Lorenzo wins Italian MotoGp

Spanish rider & the current MOTOGP World Champion JORGE LORENZO managed to pull back a 2 minute disadvantage to win the Italian MotoGp race ahead of Italian Dovizioso & Australian Casey Stoner. Jorge Lorenzo started from 5th place & slowly managed to get closer & closer to run away rider Stoner who experienced tyre problems towards the end. With Casey experiencing these difficulties, Lorenzo on "fire" managed to pass him along with Dovizioso to finish the race in that order.

With this victory Lorenzo becomes the "all time historical Spanish MotoGp winner with 28 victories in the category, & manages to pull back some points from Stoner who is still leading the overall World Championship table

Spanish rider MARC MARQUEZ has continued with his great form putting in a fabulous race to in the Moto2 category to win ahead of Bradl & Smith. The Spaniard is still way behind current World Championship table leader Bardl , but if he can keep up today's pace & form for the remaining Gp encounters he will be close & fighting hard for the title.

Great race put in by Spanish rider NICOL TEROL who managed in the last curve & stretch to overtake Frenchmen Zarco over the line & win the 125 cc category race. Young Spanish sensation Maverick Viñales keeps surprising everyone with his raw talent & he managed an admirable third.

Nicol Terol won the race with a just operated little finger that was reconstructed a week ago, to which one can only imagine the extreme pain that the rider had to overcome to win.

SPANISH SPORTS | DUTCH MOTO GP | GOOD DAY FOR SPANISH RIDERS

Great day for SPANISH SPORTS in MOTOGP held in Assen (Dutch Gran Prix) with domination in two of the three categories. In the 125cc category the top three places were Spanish, in the Moto2 category a Spaniard won & in the Gp category Spanish World Champion Jorge Lorenzo finished 6th after Italian Simoncelli did one of his party tricks & took Lorenzo ( & himself ) out in the 5th curve after starting, but more later.

Young Spanish talent MAVERICK VIÑALES won the 125cc category with second & third going to fellow country riders Salom & Gadea respectively. Maverick is proving to be the rookie of the year so far & looks destined towards bigger & better things. Current leader in the World Championships ladder, Spaniard Nicol Terol, did not race due to a fractured finger after falling yesterday in practice.

What made this race the more exciting was the wet conditions & to watch how young Maverick "mastered" the difficult conditions.

Spaniard & last years 125cc World Champion MARC MARQUEZ won the MOTO2 category race in intelligent fashion & under difficult, wet & slippery conditions. The rider now gets into the 2º position of the World Championship standing but still behind German Bradl who fell today & did not finish the race.

Simoncelli falls & takes Lorenzo

American rider B.Spies put in a magnificent race to win ahead of Casey Stoner & Italian Dovizioso in the GP category. However, the talking point & controversy occurred at the start & on the 5th curve when Italian Simoncelli did a dangerous & unnecessary manoeuvre to fall & take with him Spanish World Champion JORGE LORENZO.

Both got back on their bikes & Lorenzo put in a brave effort to come in 6th & thus lessen the damage for the World Champions points table, but the damage was done. Italian rider Simoncelli again is in the spot light with another exhibition of "careless" & "dangerous" riding which remembers his last incident with Dani Pederosa whom broke his collar bone.

SPANISH MOTO GP 2011 JEREZ | LORENZO - TEROL WIN THEIR CATEGORIES

A wet & slippery Jerez circuit made todays SPAIN MOTO GP 2011 in all catagories exciting, controversial & with Spanish riders doing overall well.

Jorge Lorenzo win Spanish MotoGP 2011

Current Spanish GP World Champion JORGE LORENZO managed to win in the GP category giving him the maximum points to take him into top spot of the current classifiaction table with 45 points. Secod place with 36 points is another Spaniard, Dani Pedrosa who came in second in  todays race infront of American Nicky Hayden who was third.


Sports
Rossi & Stoner incident 

Currently third on the World Championship classification table, Australian Casey Stoner did not finish due to a "race incident" with Italian Valentino Rossi when the latter slipped-slided in a risky curve manoeuvre that took out Stoner. Rossi managed to get back on his bike & he finished 5th, causing Stoners anger to explode even more after the Australian left  furious & latter applauded "ironcally" as Rossi rode pass.

Rossi visited Stoner in boxes after the race to excuse himself but Stoner looked extremely "pissed-off" as he did nt get any points due to Rossi´s very "aggressive riding" that cancelled him out & his chances to win todays race. 


Moto2
Iannone wins Moto2

IANNONE
won the Moto2 category ahead of Luthi with third place to Corsi. The best placed Spanish rider was SIMON who came in 6th in today's race. Promoted Spanish rider & last years 125cc World Champion Marc Marquez again failed to finish after a rider collided into his bike forcing Marquez to retire.

Big win for Spaniard TEROL who takes the lead in the 125cc World Champions table. The seconds place race winner today was Folger & third place went to Zarco

There will be a short break & MOTO GP returns the beginning of May with the Portuguese GP

MOTO GP | JORGE LORENZO & MARQUEZ WINNERS IN BRITISH MOTOGP

Spanish riders JORGE LORENZO in GP & MARQUEZ in the 125cc catagory flew the Spanish flag high this afternoon at Silverstone - British GP.

JORGE LORENZO put himself ahead of the race in the first turn passing Spaniard Dani Pedrosa & never looked back. In fact, the race had its exciting "battle" for the 2º & 3º place which eventually went to Dovizioso & third to Ben Spies. Spanish rider Dani Pedrosa had a deceptional day & race finishing 8th.

Jorge Lorenzo opens up a gap with the lead in the current GP World Championships table:
1. Lorenzo 115pts ; Dovizioso 78pts; 3. D.Pedrosa 73 pts.

MOTO2 catagory saw Cluzel win ahead of Luthi with Spaniard SIMÓN coming in third. The current Moto 2 World Championship table has Spanish rider TONI ELIAS first with 80pts , with Japanese rider Tomizawa second with 65 pts foloowed by Luthi with 53 pts

Great race in the 125cc catagory with Spaniard MARQUEZ winning his 2º straight race ahead of another Spaniard ESPARGARÓ who was second with Brit Smith coming in third. Spanish riders dominant the top places of the World Championship classification table:
1. Espargaró 98pts; 2. Terol 98 pts; 3. Marquez 82 pts.

MOTO GP - VALENCIA 2009: SPANIARDS DOMINATE

Spanish riders won all three catagories of the MOTOGP Valencia
circuit today & the last for the 2009 season.

In the Gp catagory, Spaniard PEDROSA won from the start as he pulled
away & opened an unbeatable lead. Italian & 2009 World Champion
Valentino Rossi finished second with Sub-2009 World Champ & Spaniard
LORENZO third. Earlier Casey Stoner fell on the warm-up lap & did not

start.

GP Final World Championship standings:
1.Rossi 306pts; 2. Lorenzo 261pts; 3. Pedrosa 234pts

In the 250cc catagory Spanish rider HECTOR BARBERÁ won ahead of
Spaniard BAUTISTA & Italian De ROSSI. Barberá managed to finish
Sub-2009 World Champion behind AOYAMA who took the 2009 World

Championship title after a scare when he went off the track to
luckily come back in. Italian Simoncelli fell & said goodbye to his

slim chances of beating Aoyama for the title.

250cc Final World Championship standings:
1.Aoyama 261pts; 2.Barberá 239pts; 3.Simoncelli 231pts

won ahead of the Brit SMITH & Spaniard ESPARGARÓ

DUTCH MOTOGP 2009: GOOD DAY FOR SPANIARDS

Good day of Motorcycling for Spanish riders in all catagories of the
DUTCH MOTOGP at the Assen circuit held this afternoon.

In the 125cc catagory Spaniard GADEA won ahead of another Spanish
rider SIMON with Brit SMITH coming in 3ºrd.

Current World Campionship standings:
1. Simon 104pts; 2. Smith 98.5; 3. Iannone 84.5














In the 250cc catagory, Spanish rider & until then leader of the World
Championship table ALVARO BAUTISTA, rammed into eventual winner
AOYAMA in the last lap as the former attempted to overtake. The
second place went to Spaniard HECTOR BARBERA with Third going to
Italian SIMONCELLI.

1. Aoyama 121pts; 2.Bautista 108; 3. Barbera 95


















In the GP catagory, Italian World Champ VALENTINO ROSSI won
the race & his 100th to become the second highest winner of all time
behind another Italian the legendary Giancomo Agostini who has 122
victories

The Italian broke away from the start & kept at bay all his competitors
in an excellent race, with Spaniard JORGE LORENZO second &
Aussie CASEY STONER third. Unfortuantely, Spaniard DANI PEDROSA
fell & did not get any points at all.

DAKER 2009: MARC COMA WINS IN BIKES

SFS congratulates Spanish Motorbike rider MARC COMA for winning
this years DAKER Argentina - Chile Rally.










The traditional Daker run through Northern Africa changed this
year to South America after terrorist threats last year. The Spanish
rider was dominant during the whole rally being far the superior rider,
& return to Buenos Aires in front to take the prized title


In the car catagory, the winner was South African De Villiers
