Another Spanish Sportsperson & motor-rider LAIA SANZ won the female catagory of the DAKAR RALLY 2011. No less important & spectacular feat for a first timer who has an enormous future ahead. Congratulations!

SPANISH RALLY DRIVER CARLOS SAINZ TAKES DAKAR 2010

Ex – Spanish Rally World Champion CARLOS SAINZ has taken the
“thorn” out of his backside by winning his first & this year’s 32 ยบ
edition of the DAKAR (raced in Argentina/Chile) Rally (Car Edition)
along with his co-driver Lucas Cruz.

The Spaniard defeated Volkswagon team-mate Al Attiyah who
used all shorts of “unusual” tactics during the whole race to
attempt to win Sainz. The Spanish can now add this prestigious
title to his long career, especially after failing in past editions
due to bad luck when he had the title very close at hand. It
seemed that Sainz was destined to never win this race as a
“long-tail” had grown that the driver was dammed by bad luck.
Now the Spaniard can eliminate this story from his professional
trayectory..
