Maverick Viñales |
Young Spanish talent MAVERICK VIÑALES won the 125cc category with second & third going to fellow country riders Salom & Gadea respectively. Maverick is proving to be the rookie of the year so far & looks destined towards bigger & better things. Current leader in the World Championships ladder, Spaniard Nicol Terol, did not race due to a fractured finger after falling yesterday in practice.
What made this race the more exciting was the wet conditions & to watch how young Maverick "mastered" the difficult conditions.

Simoncelli falls & takes Lorenzo |
American rider B.Spies put in a magnificent race to win ahead of Casey Stoner & Italian Dovizioso in the GP category. However, the talking point & controversy occurred at the start & on the 5th curve when Italian Simoncelli did a dangerous & unnecessary manoeuvre to fall & take with him Spanish World Champion JORGE LORENZO.
Both got back on their bikes & Lorenzo put in a brave effort to come in 6th & thus lessen the damage for the World Champions points table, but the damage was done. Italian rider Simoncelli again is in the spot light with another exhibition of "careless" & "dangerous" riding which remembers his last incident with Dani Pederosa whom broke his collar bone.
