FERNANDO LLORENTE TO SEVILLA FC

After weeks of speculation, Spanish & Juventus FC forward Fernando Llorente returns to Spanish Football. Spanish press has announced that Sevilla FC will be the new home of Llorente for the next three seasons after a 10M€ transfer deal (other sources say that his transfer is at zero cost ) with the Italian Club according to Italian media. The terms of payment is delaying the official Club announcement but everyone takes it as a formality & a done deal.

Sevilla FC get themselves a top notch forward to replace Carlos Bacca who signed for AC Milan.

Goes to Sevilla FC 2015

Said the above, Sevilla FC & Juventus FC are also talking about the possibility of Chilean International Mauricio Isla landing in Sevilla. A difficult prospect but apparently open & possible that we will have to wait & see. Stay tuned!

REAL MADRID TO TARGET FERNANDO LLORENTE ?

More interesting Spanish Football rumour & speculation doing the rounds. Spanish TV has announced tonight in its news section that Real Madrid new Coach Rafael Benitez has solicited Spanish International & Juventus FC forward Fernando Llorente. Apparently its a top priority for Benitez who wishes a tall & agile forward to compliment with Benzema upfront & give the team extra playing options.

Same source comments that Llorente has reacted positively to the idea as his regularity at Juventus FC has been further "complicated" by the arrival of Mario Mandzukic who has similar playing characteristics, while fellow countryman & team-mate Alvaro Morata has his place secure for the time being.

If this is true, it is not the first time that the 30 year old forward has been on the Real Madrid agenda. Before flying off to Italian Football from Athletic Club Bilbao he was closely connected with a possible transfer to Real Madrid.

SEVILLA FC THINKS IN FERNANDO LLORENTE IF BACCA LEAVES

This news piece from Italian media, concretely "TuttoSport" is interesting. According to the cited news source, Spanish Football club Sevilla FC is thinking in Spanish & Juventus FC forward Fernando Llorente as a substitute for Carlos Bacca.

Sevilla FC target 2015

The big European Clubs are knocking on the door of Sevilla FC asking about Bacca & expressing their interest in acquiring the services of the Colombian. Sevilla FC may well take advantage of the players "popularity" & sell to fill their bank account.

Fernando Llorente is seen as an attractive substitution for Bacca by the Sevilla Technical Team. Juventus will renew their confidence with Morata & Tevez, while PSG forward Cavani is apparently their Nº 1 signing objective for next season, leaving Llorente on a second level. The transfer price for Llorente could be around the 16-18M€ mark.

Sevilla FC will have competition if all this is true, Atletico Madrid, Tottenham & Liverpool FC are also close by checking the availability & willingness of the forward for a move.

FC BARCELONA SIGNING - PLAYERS WISH LIST SEASON 2014-2015

Lot of speculation & talk coming out of Barcelona & from Spanish Sports media on the "new look FC BARCELONA" for next season under Coach Luis Enrique. Plenty of rumours on possible exits & new incorporations, so much so, that media & even Club Directives speak of a "mini-revolution".

Today Spanish Sports paper based in "Barcelona", Sport , puts on their front cover the "List of Coach Luis Enrique". That is,  the list of players desired to sign & those which will stay for next season 2014-2015. However, allow me to added that this is the desired list, whether the palyers can be acquired is another story that will still be need to  be seen. As we all know the Big owner Clubs don't wish to get rid of their stars so easily, apart that there are always "other" demanding Clubs also interested with perhaps better offers.

FC BARCELONA TRANSFER NEWS

According to "Sport" these are the desired players by FC Barcelona for next season. I will follow the front cover of "Sport" with the starting player & in brackets place the substitute player:

Goalkeeper: Ter Stegen (Bravo from Real Sociedad).

Defenders: Cuadrado from Fiorentina ( Montoya), Marquinhos from PSG (Bartra), Pique (Mathieu from Valencia CF) & Jordi Alba (Adriano).

Midfielders: Koke from At.Madrid (Xavi), Busquets (Mascherano) & Iniesta (Rafinha).

Forwards: Sergio Aguero from Man. City (Perdro), Messi (Llorente from Juventus) & Neymar (Deulofeu).

Impressive "wish list" with some great names. Stay tuned during the coming weeks/months to see if Barça can pull it off. Lots of work ahead for the Barça Club directives.

FC BARCELONA | SWAP ALEXIS SANCHEZ FOR FERNANDO LLORENTE PLUS 20M€ ?

Spanish Football Club FC Barcelona has began its particular "revolution" starting yesterday with the announcement of new Coach Luis Enrique. The comments of the ex-FC Barcelona player (now Coach) confirmed that "deep" changes are in his plans with names like Alves, Cesc Fabregas, Pedro in the air along with Xavi Hernandez. Messi was sent "warm love" but here as well speculation is that the Argentine could leave Barça.

One name & player looking at the exit door is Chilean International Alexis Sanchez. The Club that seems to have the forward on their list of priorities is Italian Club Juventus FC

FC BARCELONA 2014

Italian Sports paper "La Gazzetta dello Sport" writes about a possible exchange of players. FC Barcelona is looking for a Centre Forward & Juventus FC Spanish International Fernando Llorente is rumoured to be the chosen player. Thus the news coming out of Italy, being picked up locally,  is that Juventus FC is willing to offer 20M€ plus the loan of Fernando Llorente. It is also said that there is agreement between Alexis & Juventus & that now the Clubs would have to seal the deal.

SPANISH FOOTBALL TEAM | LLORENTE & BARTRA REPLACE CESC & COSTA

The past weekend of Spanish Football has caused some important injuries which has effected some National Teams with International duties coming up this week. The most talked about is FC Barcelona star Lionel Messi who could be out for up to 10 weeks from playing. Severe blow to Barça.

The other talked about injuries are Cesc Fabregas & Diego Costa which have a direct impact on the Spanish Football National Team up for their Friendly Internationals against Equatorial Guinea & South Africa. Cesc Fabregas suffered a knee "twist" that keeps him out & Diego Costa has a muscle tear that halts his much anticipated debut for the Spanish Team.

Spanish Football

The bad luck for one person is the good luck for another & Spanish National Team Coach Vicente Del Bosque has called up Juventus forward Fernando Llorente ( back after 15 months ) to replace Costa, & FC Barcelona youngster Bartra for Cesc Fabragas. Del Bosque prizes the excellent form of the Juventus forward scoring important goals for his team & Bartra for his impressive performances with Barça.

AT BILBAO FERNANDO LLORENTE HEADING TO JUVENTUS

It seems that the FERNANDO LLORENTE saga has come to an end. According to Italian media JUVENTUS Director General Guiseppe Moratta has said that the Spanish International & current ATHLETIC CLUB BILBAO forward will be their player as off the 1st of July 2013. The Italian Club has planned to make it all official tomorrow according to "La Gazzetta dello Sport"

Juventus

The deal is a four year contract with a 4,5M€ / year salary plus incentives. Juventus is willing to go even further & it has been written that Juventus is willing to pay At. Bilbao 3 - 4 M€ to allow the player to leave now. The Italian Club has no reason to pay At. Bilbao at all as the player is a free agent & comes free of transfer fee at the end of the season, but this gesture maybe diplomatic & an effort to incorporate a top rate player for the upcoming European competition phases.

Either way, the suffering that Llorente has been submitted to at Bilbao is coming to an end & his next destination seems Turin.

JUVENTUS - ANOTHER ATTEMPT FOR BILBAO FERNANDO LLORENTE

From Italy the news is that Italian Club JUVENTUS is back in full force to attempt to secure the services of ATHLETIC CLUB BILBAO & Spanish International forward FERNANDO LLORENTE.

Football Transfer rumours

The player is currently a "free agent" & will leave Bilbao at the end of the season free of transfer fee. The Italians believe that offering now 4M€ will convince Bilbao to think that better something now than nothing later. The figure of 4M€ is way below the true market value of the player which is in fact around the 20 - 25M€.

Bilbao may feel "offended" & decide not to sell. But the situation is totally their own fault as Basque Club did not sell earlier when offered around 20M€. Juventus will make a last attempt for Llorente this season & if this fails will go after Didier Drogba.

SPANISH FOOTBALL BARGAIN BASEMENT PLAYERS

The month of January is habitually bargain basement sale time with most retail outlets around the country. Most stores need to get rid of their stock to renew with other products. In Football something similar occurs, all player who hasn't renewed their current contract by the 1st of January 2013 becomes a "free-agent" to decide their own future. That is, the player can negotiate with which ever Club he desires without the OK from his current Club , plus without a transfer fee.

Athletic Club Bilbao

Spanish Football has a long list of Football players in this situation, a "juicy list" that has European Clubs about to pounce on, with ATHLETIC CLUB BILBAO & Spanish International forward FERNANDO LLORENTE being the "crown jewel".

ARSENAL FC EYES ATHLETIC CLUB FERNANDO LLORENTE ?

Spanish International & ATHLETIC CLUB BILBAO forward FERNANDO LLORENTE will be a "free agent" as of the 1 st of January 2013. That is he will be free to chosen the Club that he wished to play for when he finishes contract at the end of the season after not renewing & on top the new signing Club does not need to pay a transfer fee. Absolute bargain.

Spanish Football
Fernando Llorente

The Bilbao player is undergoing a personal "hell" being marginalized by his Coach, Club & insulted by fans. His choice of not renewing has been seen as "betrayal" & Llorente is feeling this mindless outrage on regular basis. Under this condition anyone would wish to leave & he has many interested European & Spanish Clubs knocking at his door.

FC Barcelona & Real Madrid have sounded heavily, as has Italian Club Juventus, but the Club that is sounding now strongly is
ARSENAL FC. The hitch is that if solicited in the upcoming "Winter Market" the English Club would have to pay at least his contract release clause which is 36M€, as saids above, he finishes his current contract the 30th of June.

This does not mean that Arsenal will wait & may perfectly take up the option of paying & getting the forward for the rest of the remaining "half" season. Either way there will be a "tussle" to entice the man with local giants Barça & Madrid possibly asking the player to withstand his local "nightmare" until the end of the season & then comfortably choose with an attractive salary package.

FERNANDO LLORENTE - ATHLETIC CLUB BILBAO | LOVE, TREASON, EMOTIONS - REAL MADRID?

There is a soap box drama happening at ATHLETIC CLUB BILBAO which is worth a post for all the Spanish Football Sports readers. After attempting to renew the contract of 27 year old forward FERNANDO LLORENTE, the player has announced to his Club President that he does not wish to continue another season. The situation gets spicy because the Spanish International becomes a “free-agent”  as of the 1 st of January of 2013 & can go to any Club he desires FREE of transfer, that is, Bilbao doesn't see an Euro. Therefore, the Club is in a dilemma (a) sell now to grab the cash or (b) stick to its peculiar philosophy (more later) of not selling & lose the money. But there is more behind this simple view...

This particular transfer tussle is colourful because of the unique characteristics of the Bilbao Club. The Club is the Sporting cornerstone of the “Basque region & culture”, as FC Barcelona, Athletic has won overtime the hub of the “spirit” of the region, unusual if you consider that the Club originally was founded by Englishmen. With this almighty responsibility, Athletic Club Bilbao has a policy of only having “Basque born or Basque family descended” players. This makes their players a very scare resource & very much prized at the Club which explains how hard it is to leave or be allowed to depart.

Fernando Llorente was born in "Navarra Region" ( adjacent non-Basque region, although claimed by Basque nationalists ) & was adopted in a Football sense by Bilbao Club 17 years ago, that is, the player has been with Athletic 17 years! Since then Llorente has become the flag & insignia of the “new Bilbao”, a goal-scoring machine & part responsible for getting Bilbao into a Europa League & Spanish Cup final. The man is simply a local hero-god, a symbol of the Club & indirectly (unfortunate perhaps) of Basque culture

To keep the player so as to renew his contract with Bilbao, the Club made a historical offer: 4.5M€ per year contract. Never has the Club made such an economic effort to keep its Football “masthead”. Fernando Llorente has been quiet, non-committed & has finally announced that he declines the Clubs offer & wishes to leave. The motive according to the player is “Sporting”, he wishes to play in a Club that participates in Champions League & can offer titles. This is an argument hard to knock back, as Fernando Llorente is a World Class forward that can easily play in any of the big European Clubs, while Athletic cannot give the player the titles or the World stage that is equal to his Football talents.

Fernando Llorente transfer 2012
Fernando Llorente

The NO from Llorente has hurt the spirit of the Club & offended the very fibre of the members & the masses with many seeing the Llorente decision as “high treason”, so much so that the “national hero” is now booed & whistle in his very own home ground "San Mames".

What is the Clubs official posture to all this? President Urrutia has sentenced a couple of days back:
(1) Athletic does not sell & will not negotiate.
(2) If a Club wishes Llorente they will have to pay the 36M€ (plus taxes) contract release clause.

This last point eliminates 98% of the current European Clubs. The much talked about & written offensive by Italian Club JUVENTUS says that they will not pass 20M€. If this is true then they too are eliminated. Plus if Bilbao offered 4.5M€ /season & Llorente refused this, then there must be a higher salary offer right?

There are only two Clubs in the World that can:
(1) pay a contract release clause of this amount (barring Man City & PSG)
(2) offer a player 5M€ or more per season as salary

… they are REAL MADRID CF or FC BARCELONA. As Sherlock Holmes said "elementary my dear Watson"

This has shed new light on everything. The hypothesis now circulating is that Fernando Llorente has already come to an agreement with one of these Clubs (Real Madrid sounds the loudest) & to not renew his contract, stick out this year at Bilbao & come free to the “new Club”. If this is indeed true the “cultural rivalry” between Bilbao & Madrid explains even more the Bilbao Club current stance, hostility & non-cooperation.

What will Llorente do now? What will Athletic Club do now? Will the first survive one more season at Bilbao which could turn into a personal hell? Will he accept a lesser offer from Juventus because Bilbao refuses to sell to Madrid (if the latter is true)?
Will Bilbao Club not sell & miss out on 20-25M€?

There are still 16 days left in the transfer market window. When the highly charged emotions unfortunately mixed with issues other than Football calm down, both parties will regain their logic. The Club will look for its money & the player will get his new opportunity. This is the logical thing. But Football , & emotionally charged Football, is not logical. It may occur that the player will stick out the season to go free elsewhere, or Juventus will pay more & sign the player, or Real Madrid / FC Barcelona will pay the contract clause, or not …whatever. What is clear & certain that Athletic Club Bilbao & Fernando Llorente have put an end to their long relationship? How will it end?

Stay tuned, anything may happen & believe me,  anything is anything. Or nothing :O)

ARSENAL THINKS IN FERNANDO LLORENTE

This piece of news out of Great Britain & ARSENAL FC is not new & again hits the local Spanish Football papers & media.

Spanish Football Transfer rumours
Fernando Llorente

The "Gunners" seek to have an alternative if Van Persie finally leaves the Club this summer. A name sounding loud to replace the Dutch striker is Spanish International & ATHLETIC CLUB BILBAO forward FERNANDO LLORENTE.

According to the the English paper, "DailyMail", Arsenal Coach Wenger wants to finalize with the Clubs transfer dramas & prepare quietly for next season. The 27 year old Athletic Bilbao strike has a contract release clause of 35 million € which Arsenal could pay with the departure & the cash received from Dutchman Van Persie.

TRANSFER RUMOURS | MANCHESTER CITY TALKS TO FERNANDO LLORENTE ?

MANCHESTER CITY representatives have been said to have met up with the brother of ATHLETIC CLUB BILBAO & Spanish International forward FERNANDO LLORENTE , "Chus" who is also the players rep. The meeting was to express the clear interest of the English Premier League Champions to get the player over to England. That was back 27th of Abril & since then Real Madrid , FC Barcelona & others have sounded their sirens & music at Llorente.

Spanish Football Transfer Rumours
Fernando Llorente

The rumour puts the offer at around 36M€. But if the player puts in a grand Euro 2012 performance that figure - for any Club interested - may well lift & put some Clubs off-side.

Stay tuned!

REAL MADRID | SERGIO AGUERO THE CHOSEN ONE ?

REAL MADRID has put its eye firmly on ATLETICO DE MADRID star forward SERGIO "KUN" AGUERO? The rumours are building & getting more viral as Spanish Sports media have increased their publishing space with more & more articles dedicated to this idea.

Spanish Football
Sergio Aguero

The first hint was when Aguero renewed his contract with Atletico de Madrid until 2014 BUT with a reduction in his contract release clause from 60M€ to 45M€. This only means that Aguero wished to have a "back-door" & to make his possible transfer to another Club more feasible & economically viable.

Second arguement is Atletico de Madrid. The Club is not able to satisfy or guarantee its star players the ability to "strut their stuff" on the World Football stage. The Club cannot regularly get into the big European competitions & does not make the grade in the local competition. Sadly, if you want to make it as a World Star an Atletico player must leave the Club, e.g Fernando Torres.

Lastly, the rumours coming out of Real Madrid is that they have already planned a BIG star signing for the end of the season. This is why Real Madrid does not wish to invest heavily in the "Winter Market" however insistent Mourinho is being with the need now of a Number Nine.  Real Madrid knows that a 40M+€ investment will be needed if they are to sign a World Class forward & both Athletic de Bilbao FERNANDO LLORENTE & SERGIO AGUERO are the prime targets. In the last couple of weeks the name of Aguero has taken strenght & one could speculate that depending on how the mentioned players perform the rest of the season will decide who is finally chosen.

THE REAL MADRID Nº9 DILEMMA | TO WAIT OR NOT TO WAIT FOR FERNANDO LLORENTE

The longer than expected prognosticated comeback of forward Gonzalo Higuain who will virtually miss the rest of the season (4 months at 50-70%), has forced REAL MADRID Directives to back on their words & now admit that they are willing to sign a Nº9, but not any Nº9.

Club Director General Jorge Valdano commented to Spanish TV last night that they were looking for a player for the next 6 months & very economical. This has opened up a wide range of players that today Spanish Sports daily “Marca” puts up as possible names:

Spanish Soccer
Valdez, Luis Fabiano, Adebayor, Klose;
Lisandro, Mario Gómez, Gekas & Salía

However, Real Madrid does not just want a Nº9 whatever,  or a “band-aid” solution for 6 months, they wish a Top World Class player with future projection that will stay at the Club for years: here is precisely the problem.

A top class player at this stage of the season is virtually impossible to sign as most Clubs will refuse to let them go, plus the investment needed goes beyond the 30-40M€ mark. But there is one player that suits all the Real Madrid prerequisites & I have a feeling that a verbal agreement has been reached BUT for the end of the season: Athletic de Bilbao & Spanish International Nº9 FERNANDO LLORENTE.

There is a rumour that Athletic Club President Fernando Garcia Macua has asked Real Madrid not to make an offer for Llorente before the end of the season because Bilbao celebrates Presidential Club elections in March. A Llorente transfer NOW would guarantee the certain defeat of Macua, debilitate that current squad & cause a serious fan base backlash that everyone wishes to avoid. Thus Real Madrid has agreed they would negotiate & sign Llorente at the end of this season.

Everyone knows that Llorente is the man, the problem now is should they sign now someone else & risk a huge investment for a player that may turn out to be a complete failure & cause problems at the end of the season.

The solution? A difficult one, the only logical option is a 6 month loan but that incurres lot of risks & brings to light a poor in-house organization & planning job that calls for some head cutting later on.

The question: wait for Fernando Llorente or not to wait for Fernando Llorente

P.S. In the last weeks, Atletico de Madrid forward SERGIO AGUERO has been flying around. Nice option if Llorente becomes difficult.

REAL MADRID EYES FERNANDO LLORENTE FOR NEXT SEASON? | KARIM BENZEMA ?

It´s not the first time that the news has been put on the front covers of the Spanish Sports papers, last August rumours arose that AT.BILBAO & Spanish International forward FERNANDO LLORENTE was on the REAL MADRID list of future candidates. The news again gets prime-time after a magnificent performance last Friday with two goals for Spain against Lithuania.

Fernando Llorente scores for the Spanish National Football Team
The Bilbao forward has a 36M€ contract release clause & is very much liked by Real Madrid Coach Jose Mourinho who sees in Llorente the forward needed to delivery more options to his play as the heading abilities of Llorente are "top level". This & his outstanding ability to move & turn within the goal area convert the player in unique striker which are far & few currently in World Football.

Karim Benzema in action for Real Madrid CF

Coincidently all the rumours come to the forefront exactly when Real Madrid forward KARIM BENZEMA is being put under the microscope & is being given a subtle "ultimatum" to get his act together or be put on sale. This is precisely the condition necessary to faciltate the arrive of Fernando Llorente, as both have a similiar market price & Benzema has a series of offers from English & Italian Football.

Interesting times ahead for Llorente & indiretly Benzema, as the former would be a summer operation if it comes to a reality, while the latter could be a January "Winter Market" manouver if the Frenchman does not show the asked progression.

Lastly, I don´t discard that all this issue with Fernando Llorente could be an Real Madrid - Sports Media joint operation to motive Benzema in acting & working towards making sure that he becomes the player everyone wishes for & could be. Stay tuned!

REAL MADRID LOOKS AT KUKAKU OR IS FERNANDO LLORENTE THE REAL OBJECTIVE?

A smokescreen? Spanish Sports daily “Marca” at times sells smoke & have published today that REAL MADRID has added on their list of possible signings ANDERLECHT young forward ROMEU LUKAKU.

Real Madrid Coach José Mourinho “surprised” some with declarations after the LA Galaxy friendly game that the team needs a third striker to compete with Higuain & Benzema, plus guarantee the maximum levels to be able to “battle” in all seasons competitions.

There are other names also being thrown into the wind like Mario Gómez, Amauri, Hugo Almeida & Spanish International FERNANDO LLORENTE (above). The latter maybe the true “objective” as the Athletic Bilbao player fits the profile that Mourinho looks for in his proyect. Coach Mourinho wishes to incorporate a tall & versatile forward to add options in the forward line when the games need new ideas.

Either way, stay tuned as anything is possible & surprises in this area will be guaranteed.

TOTTENHAM OFFERS 15M€ FOR ATHLETIC DE BILBAO FORWARD LLORENTE

News from Spanish daily “AS” brings our attention to a supposed
15M€ offer by English Premier League Club TOTTENHAM HOTSPURS
to ATHLETIC DE BILBAO for its star forward FERNANDO LLORENTE.
The English Club has Roman Pavyluchenko on the market & believe
that the Spanish International is the new man they are looking for to

fill the gap.

However, Bilbao considers Llorente to be a vital piece in their team
set up & they are not up to selling the young star. Llorente has
contract until 2011 & has a 30M€ contract release clause, of which
Bilbao has made reference to the English Club. Tottenham has
already “sounded” the possibility of signing Peter Crouch & Real
Madrid forward Huntelaar, in both cases out of their budget.
