REAL MADRID - ATLETICO DE MADRID TRANSFER RUMOURS

What was Cezary Kucharski the representative of Bayern Munich & Polish International Striker Lewandowski doing at the Real Madrid - Getafe match last Saturday? According to Spanish Sports press, the player representative was invited personally by Real Madrid President Florentino Perez, & the talk is, to discuss his client Lewandowski.

The player has contract with Bayern Munich until 2019 & the Germans wish to extended the contract while raising his salary to around 10€ per season. The player has rejected the first offer & it seems that Real Madrid may be fishing in rough waters.

Still too early to say much more, Real Madrid made an attempt when Lewandowski was finishing contract at Dortmund, while the representative could be playing his cards with both Clubs.

Lewandowski

Meanwhile the other rumour is that English Premier League Club Chelsea FC is willing to offer 50 M€ to Atletico de Madrid for French International Antoine Griezmann.

At Madrid

Appears Mourinho wants Diego Costa out & could offer money & a return back to Spain for Costa. This news piece is still to be confirmed & a definite rumour at this stage. Griezmann has many more big Clubs following him, & can basically choose if he decides to make a move from Atletico de Madrid.

REAL MADRID | MARK NORRIS CLUB TRIALS

Here is a name to note & follow in coming years. MARK NORRIS, from Northern Ireland & only 11 years old. The youngster actually plays Football for Linfield FC & already has caught the attention of Spanish Football giant Real Madrid.

Young Soccer promise

Real Madrid has invited young Mark Norris to Madrid to undergo trials with them. The Spanish Club has been following Mark since he attended a Summer Camp in Japan, as the boys Mother is Japanese (Father is Irish), & were astounded by the talents shown by the Football promise.

Mark Norris is a midfielder, & his hero is Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo.

We wish Mark all the luck in the World, may your dreams all come true.

REAL MADRID ELIMINATED FROM SPANISH CUP

The Spanish Arbitrary Tribunal for National Football has decided to eliminate Real Madrid from the Spanish Cup for lining-up & starting with a team that included a player that was sanctioned, that is, the player in question had accumulated yellow cards from the previous participation in the Spanish Club when at Villarreal last season.

The player is Denis Cheryshev, he claims no one communicated the situation to him, Coach Rafael Benitez & his staff claim they did not know, while Real Madrid Directives & President Perez claim the Club was not notified.

Real Madrid

However, they were, & are faxes which puts water over the Real Madrid claims. What has occurred is that somewhere along the communications line things broke down.

Cadiz the team which Real Madrid played in the 1º st leg of the Spanish Cup protested officially, & thus the case was seen today by Competition Authorities in which they sentenced a guilty verdict & elimination from the Spanish Cup.

Naturally & expected Real Madrid will appeal & if needed take it to SAT (World Court of Sports); what else can they do?

This event is gaining mega-proportion & dimensions, being Real Madrid its expected. But what is worst is the terrible image given by a World Class Football Club which prides itself as the Best,  & doing things in an immaculate manner. The media has ridiculed the Club, FC Barcelona & their players a publicly laughing their heads off & while President Perez is facing a severe image problem & fans backlash. The guilty-elimination verdict from the Spanish Cup will see heads fly.

In the firing line is Coach Benitez who has a history in this type of incidences. It occurred to him when Coach of Valencia CF, did the same against Levante, & Valencia was found guilty & eliminated from the Spanish Cup. Benitez claims he did not know about Denis Cheryshev, he may be right, but he should have known.

Had this occurred to any other Spanish Club, it would have passed by. But being Real Madrid the thunder will be loud along with the lighting. Its another slap in the face for Real Madrid which is having a bad run these last weeks, very embarrassing & damaging the their image. Lets see what happens in the coming weeks.

REAL MADRID | CRISIS - ONCE AGAIN

Real Madrid was run over last Saturday by FC Barcelona 0 - 4 in "El Clasico" & as expected its the end of the World for the former. The backlash has been so intense that President Florentino Perez has had to come out this afternoon in a press conference to back his Coach Rafael Benitez who has been hammered. The nasty rumour is that the dressing room has no faith in their Coach & desire that Benitez be "pushed aside", with Cristiano Ronaldo apparently one of leading callers.  The Portuguese player is also thinking elsewhere for next season & Benitez could be helping with his decision.

With these last claims there is no evidential truth, but media insiders say that its common knowledge in the "inner circles". President Florentino Perez has had to put out fires announcing his full support for Benitez. But we have seen this before, last year when Perez gave full support to Ancelotti when under fire he then sacked him later.

Real Madrid News 2015

The Real Madrid President has again put the blame this afternoon on the media, "which is out to get him". Sounds too familiar, its an old tactic to cover the numerous Football decision which have turned out to be mistakes. No one doubts that Florentino Perez is an expert business & finance man & has turned Real Madrid into the Worlds Richest Club, but he has no idea about Football. His period as Real Madrid President (2 periods) are full of big mistakes:
  • letting go of Makelele ,
  • letting go of Seedrof ,
  • sacking Coach Vicente del Bosque,
  • Signing Kaka...others,
  • Signing Luxemburg, Pellegrini,...others,
  • Not signing Luis Suarez, not good enough according to him,
  • Sacking Carlo Ancelotti,
  • PERHAPS - signing Rafael Benitez.
These are just a few in a long list of poor decisions.

What about Benitez? Like all Coaches it will depend if he can maintain victories. Winning is the only guarantee, not the hallow words of a President with doubtful credibility & at the whim of maintaining himself in power. The hard fact is that not only has FC Barcelona smashed Real Madrid last Saturday, Barça has been running over Real Madrid the last 10 years.

LINE-UPS | REAL MADRID - FC BARCELONA | EL CLASICO

Most, if not all, Spanish Sports papers have on their front cover today this afternoon Liga Round 12 game "El Clasico", match between Real Madrid - FC Barcelona (kick off 18.15 local time). One of the big matches in World Soccer with the field full of the Best Football Players on the Planet & the first "punch-to-punch" encounter this season between Spains (& World) biggest Football Clubs

Soccer Spain

Spanish Sports paper "Sport" speculate with what they consider the most probable starting line-ups for the "Clasico". Both teams beforehand recover key players from injury, but it is not too sure whether some will be starting. Lionel Messi comes back with a question mark still around his knee, as with Ratikic & Busquets with their injuries. While Real Madrid recovers Benzema still fresh out of his wows & with Sergio Ramos still managing a painful shoulder injury. There is a debate as to whether Real Madrid Coach will start with Isco or James Rodriguez, the latter said to not be in symphony with his Coach.

clasico - real madrid - fc barcelona

All is speculation at this stage, as both Coaches still keep some cards hidden up their sleeve. What is certain that we are all in for a top game of Football.

AT MADRID TARGETS GAITAN BENFICA PLAYER

Argentinian International & Benfica player Nico Gaitan has been a rumour to hit Spanish Football from sometime. Spanish Club Atletico de Madrid is the most interested in gaining the services of the midfielder, having tried last summer to get him over.

According to Spanish Sports radio, Atletico de Madrid has once again put future plans on the table with Gaitan being a key element. Current Coach Simeone has long insisted that Gaitan is the player needed to give some extra creativity to the midfield.

soccer spain

Atletico de Madrid defender Siquiera is not finding playing time & has asked to leave in the Winter Market. Benfica could be his new destination, returning to back to were he has great Football memories & had plenty of playing time. At.Madrid could take advantage of the players desire to move to Benfica to put Gaitan into a hypothetical transfer operation.

The idea is for a next season move but anything could happen & Gaitan - although unlikely - could move in the Winter Market. Stay tuned!

REAL MADRID SPIES MIDFIELDER LUCAS LIMA

While the main talk is in reference to next Saturday Super Liga game between Real Madrid & FC Barcelona, & whether the injured big names from both sides (Benzema, Ramos, Messi, Busquets etc) will make it, the other talk is the possible interest from Real Madrid for a Brazilian midfielder.

REAL MADRID

According to local Sports press Real Madrid sent over to the Brazil - Peru match scouts to spy on 25 year old Santos & Brazilian International midfielder Lucas Lima. The bad luck was that Lucas only played 2 mins of the match giving little time for the Real Madrid scouts to make a good report.

If this story is true, I am sure that Lucas Lima has been followed for sometime - videos for example - & that the trip could have been more about conversations, with representative & the player to sound out future plans.

Considered a Brazilian Football pearl, the Santos player has an ownership package similar to Neymar before going over to FC Barcelona. The players rights are divided between various interests & this could complicate negotiations or sky rocket the transfer price. An initial market price has been placed at around 60M€ for a virtually unknown player except in Brazilian Football.

REAL MADRID | JAMES RODRIGUEZ WANTS A PAY RISE

There is a rumour doing the Spanish Football & Sports media circus that English Premier League Club Manchester United has asked about Real Madrid Colombian forward James Rodriguez. Concretely the players representative Jorge Mendes was said to have been approached & directly asked how the player feels these days at Real Madrid.

The rumours that James Rodriguez is not "tight" with his Coach Rafael Benitez has lead to all sorts of speculations where Manchester United is thought to be fishing in rough waters.

Real Madrid CF

However, there is a coincidence. According to alternative Sports media sources James Rodriguez has expressed to the Spanish Football Club that he would like his salary to be risen to the level of Bale & Sergio Ramos, around 10M€ per season. What better way than to put some pressure on Real Madrid citing the interest of another Club, the case being Manchester United.

A scenario not likely but part of the upcoming poker match between player & Club. The rumoured bad relationship with Coach Benitez is another "wild card" that could be used if things get stalled.

SPAIN 2 ENGLAND 0 | FRIENDLY INTERNATIONAL RESULT

Spain defeated England 2 - 0 in tonight's International Friendly game in the city of Alicante. Both teams were "undermanned" with some regular names missing, in the case of Spain, the likes of Sergio Ramos, Juan Fran & David Silva to name a few.

Spain Football Team

Spain dominated the ball most of the game while England attempted to use their speed down the flanks with Sterling & company looking to catch the Spaniards off guard. However, the points of debate are still the ongoing ineffectiveness in front of goal for Spain. The numerous opportunities created do not equal the two only goals scored in the 2º half.

Soccer Spain Team

Spanish Coach Del Bosque gave another chance to Diego Costa to prove himself & again the Chelsea forward put in a performance that justifies more being left out than in. All the goals came in the mid - late part of the 2º half with substitutes Cazorla & Nolito putting in the spark needed to shake things up around the forward line. In the last minute Spanish keeper Iker Casillas had to do a great save to keep England scoreless.

The negative aspect for Spain was the injury to Thiago & Sergi Busquets both which are not too serious as first expected.

The goal scorers tonight Mario Gasper 71st min with an impressive overhead kick & Santiago Cazorla in the 84th min

Next match - Friendly - for Spain next Tuesday in Belgium

SPAIN 5 - GEORGIA 0 | EURO U21 RESULT

Spain U-21 Team defeated Georgia 5 - 0 this afternoon in their Group 6 qualifier for the upcoming Euro u21 Championships in Poland.

Spain Soccer

The Group looks the following manner with Croatia currently leading, remembering that the Country that finishes on top goes directly into the Finals. Spain had to win today to have a chance & will play Croatia next Tuesday were a victory will give them top spot. But it will be difficult as Croatia are a very talented & strong outfit.

Soccer España

Today Spain dominated totally the game & received a confidence boost with Everton forward Deulofeu scoring a HAT-TRICK, with the other goalscorers being Williams & Ceballos.

Match details

WHAT IS HAPPENNING WITH CRISTIANO RONALDO | REAL MADRID

The loss yesterday by Real Madrid away to Sevilla FC is a Football event that is always possible in high level competition & when the opposition team simply played better. What has made the "alarm bells" sound at Real Madrid is the form of star Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo. The forward is not himself, looks unmotivated & out of place. There is not doubt that Ronaldo is trying his best to score & to help his team onto victory, but he is certainty out of groove, & some say possibly already far away.

Spanish Football Soccer News

Firstly, we have been spoiled silly for the past 6 seasons witnessing goalscoring rates of between 50 - 70 goals per season. It was until Cristiano Ronaldo arrived (with exception of Lionel Messi) not humanly possible. Thus seeing how Ronaldo does not score in his latest games seems a complete let down.

Secondly, all of us, even for the "superhuman" Cristiano Ronaldo, must succumb to the effects of age. CR7 will some reach his 31 st Birthday next February, & like it or not, pace declines & the reflexes stall even if we are only talking of fraction of seconds or more. It may well be the moment to change how one plays or "evolve" towards a more optimal manner of Football which may sacrifice the goalscoring numbers but heighten the cooperative aspects of his & team play.

Said this, there could other factors which helps explain the current "absence" of Cristiano Ronaldo both on the field & off the field:
  • the absence of Karim Benzema not only lessens the effectiveness of the whole team but puts out of synchronicity Cristiano Ronaldo & his Football. The understanding between Frenchman & Portuguese is almost perfect & has given CR7 a high percentage of his goals,
  • some insiders suggest that another reason for the drop in form by Cristiano Ronaldo is that he is not playing in his preferred position. Cristiano likes the left flank but Coach Benitez has preferred to place him as Centre Forward, more so with the absence of Benzema,
  • this follows that the connection between Cristiano Ronaldo & his Coach Rafael Benitez is commented to be not as fluid as with ex-Coach Ancelotti. Perhaps its the tactical insistence that Benitez imposes on all his players, the differences in Football philosophy which diverges or that personally there is no "feeling",
  • Perhaps it is just that Cristiano Ronaldo is physically exhausted. The player is a starter in all the matches, & few Coaches past or present have had the personality to substitute CR7.
These factors may be playing a part, but the reason that some observers are already citing as a prime motive is that Cristiano Ronaldo is perhaps planning his exit from Real Madrid. The idea of Cristiano Ronaldo far from Real Madrid is gaining strength after the player himself has made ambiguous statements to International Press thus opening the possibility of an exit. Public gestures that consciously attract the TV cameras like whispering to the ear of Paris St Germain Coach Blanc & patting the back of Paris St Germain owner, are seen as orchestrated & strategically planned.

Real Madrid President Florentino Perez may well see all this with good eyes the selling of his star for 100-150M€ next season to Paris St Germain & could be in "the plan" with CR7 & his team of advisors to lessen the blow & possible fan base backlash.

As you can read there are many ideas floating around at the moment many of which are just speculation & perhaps without any base. However the obvious is that Cristiano Ronaldo is not 100%, neither with his Football nor mentally & this is attracting attention from specialists & fans.

I conclude that the Portuguese will bounce back soon to tantalize us all again with his goalscoring prowess & have us forget this current slump & out pour of rumours. Although I do also comment that we will be back here to analyse further in the future the strongest of all predictions doing the rounds at the moment, that the future of Cristiano Ronaldo may well be far from Real Madrid.

SPANISH FOOTBALL | CLUBS LEAD UEFA RANKING

The Spanish Liga (through the accumulative points) leads the UEFA Club Rankings with three Spanish Football Clubs in the Top 5.

Real Madrid is the Nº1 ranked Club by UEFA with 148.828 points, with FC Barcelona in third place & Atletico de Madrid ranked 5th.

Soccer Spain

The other Spanish Clubs are:

13. Valencia CF 87.828 points
19. Sevilla FC 75.328
26. Athletic Club Bilbao 58.828
43. Malaga FC 39.828
49. Villarreal 37.828

REAL MADRID LOOKING FOR A LEFT-BACK

Real Madrid is apparently thinking about signing a left-back. The injuries to lateral defenders Danilo & Carvajal, along with the departure of Coentrao has Real Madrid concerned about a possible injury to Marcelo. Obviously, the Club wishes to be covered & assured that in an emergency they can recover from any loss.

Real Madrid signing target

The apparent target, according to local Spanish Sports press, is 22 year old Bayern Leverkusun player Wendall . However there could be competition from Atletico de Madrid which made an attempt last summer & the operation was blocked because Wendall as yet could not get his EU passport.

Another name on the Real Madrid list is Porto defender Alex Sandro, player which is being followed very closely by the Spanish Football Club. Stay tuned!

SPAIN B-TEAM | THE FUTURE

Check the picture of the starting 11 for the Spanish National Football Team yesterday against the Ukraine in their Group C euro 2016 qualifier. At first a lot of "unfamiliar faces" & what some local observers have said, the "Spain B Team".

However we may actually be looking at the future, the Spanish Footaball Team of tomorrow, or at least 60-75%. The only name missing that I would add is Javi Martinez ( & Alvaro Morata ) currently regaining form with his Club Bayern Munich, a must when 100% fit & ready.

Soccer Spain news

The guys won last night 0 - 1 & at times looked & played better than the theoretical starters. With this "second level" side I saw a Spanish Team regain its magical sharp touch Football, dominant in the midfield & with goalkeeper David De Gea nearly sublime.

Good to see that the National Team has a new generation of players in the wings & that the future looks bright, with maintaining at least a competent competitive level.

SPAIN 4 LUXEMBOURG 0 | EURO 2016 GROUP C RESULT

Spain played Luxembourg in their Group C Euro 2016 qualifier & won 4 - 0. The victory assures the top spot of the Group for Spain & its ticket for next years European Championship in France.

Spain Football Team

Spain began the night with the following 11 :
Casillas; Juanfran, Pique, Bartra, Jordi Alba; Busquets, Cesc, Cazorla; Silva (Mata), Pedro (Nolito) & Morata (Alcacer)
with Luxembourg taking on an aggressive approach, sidelined first was David Silva with a suspected knee strain, while shortly later Alvaro Morata was taken off with a possible bone (fibula) fracture. If the last is correct, Juventus FC will have their striker sidelined 4 months, something that still needs official comformation.

As mentioned a rough 1º half with Spain dominating with up to 73% of ball possession but not effective upfront. It was not until the 44th min that Spain broke through the opposition defence through Santi Cazorla.

Spain Soccer Team 2015

The second half was also a slog until Cesc Fabregas managed a "surgical pass" that found Paco Alcacer in the 66th min to score. Nolito then came on shortly after & "handed" a pass to Alba who found Paco Alcacer in the 80th min for the Valencia player to score. The last & fourth goal also had the signature of Nolito but it was Cazorla who managed to score in the 85th min & get his second for the night.

Spain now flys over to Kiev to meet the Ukraine next Monday for another Group C qualifier. Should give Coach Del Bosque to give other players a run as Spain has the upcoming Euro 2016 secured.

VALENCIA CF | HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO ADVERTISE ON A FOOTBALL CLUB SHIRT?

Have you ever wondered how much money it takes to get yourself, or your brand, on the front of a major Football Club? I suppose it depends on the notoriety of the Soccer Club in question, but this post will given us some insights.

Spain Football marketing Liga

Spanish Football Club Valencia CF is offering  advertising space on the front of their shirt. That is, there looking for a sponsor & their price is 10,000,000 M€. Too much? Too little?

Valencia CF new owner Peter Lim has hired Football Marketing "guru" Peter Draper known for his exploits in the English Premier League. Draper comments that Valencia CF has as yet to shut a deal, which in itself says a lot. Draper however adds, independently its the right price.

Perhaps what the guru should know is that the price (& demand) is dependent on the Club success, as everything in Football. Valencia CF has not got off to a good start in Liga this season & their Coach Nuno is under pressure from the fan-base with an uncertain future. At this stage they do not have the upper places of the Liga table secured & least a place in Champions League next season.

Here is the factor, the answer to if 10M€ to much. If you win, keep winning & secure Champions League next season, its cheap. However, if you lose & cannot get into Europe for next season, if too much.

Success, not the market rules here, & I think you don't need a "marketing guru" to repeat the obvious.
