SPANISH FOOTBALL CLUBS DOMINATE FINANCES

The prestigious financial consultancy "Deloitte" has released its annual study on the finances of the most powerful Football (Soccer) teams. For the first time since the study began, the giants of Football suffer a significant decrease in their income. Its estimated that the top  20 Clubs will lose over 2 billion euros in revenue at the end of the 2020-21 season, reports the consultancy.

The ranking is still dominated by Spanish Football Clubs, FC Barçelona, repeats at the top of the ranking ahead of Real Madrid. Interestingly, no Premier League team is in the Top 3 after Bayern Munich climbs to the third place. Said this, FC Barcelona is currently undergoing an economic crisis with a huge debt that has it "technically" almost bankrupt. One would expect Real Madrid to overtake Barça in the Financial Ranking shortly. The Madrid Club has over the years been "prudent" with sending as they have strengthen the income side with merchandising & TV Rights.

REAL MADRID Nº1 MONEY EARNER | FOOTBALL FINANCE

Thought I post this news piece from the last report on Football Club Earnings for 2017/2018, otherwise better known as the "Deloitte Football Money League" in which the Global Consultancy profiles the highest revenue generating Clubs in World Football (Soccer).
This 22nd edition of the Deloitte Football Money League shows the generating record revenue of €750.9M by Spanish Football Club REAL MADRID CF which returns to the 1ºst place after 3 years. The 2ºnd placed is another Spanish Football Club FC BARCELONA with generated revenue of €690.4M. English Football Club Manchester United, previously in the Nº1 spot with €676.3M drops to 3ºrd place with €666M.

WHICH PLAYERS ARE THE MOST VALUABLE IN WORLD SOCCER?

The Football Website "Transfermarket", specialized in calculating the Market Value of World Football Players, has released their current "Top 25 Valuable Football Players" list. The criteria used for evaluating the current Economic Market Value of each Player is - for me - not clear, as the example of Atletico de Madrid player Antonnie Griezmann who is estimated 100M€. This is his contract release clause, but I am sure if left to the "Market" in a full bidding system his Market Price would be closer to the 150-180M€.

Said this, as expected & without debate, Brazilian PSG forward Neymar is the "Most Valueable Player" with 180M€. If rumours are correct that Neymar will force his exit to Real Madrid for next season, the transfer price could be over 250€. The highest placed Spanish Football Player is Sergi Busquets of FC Barcelona in the Nº19 position with a value of 80M€ with fellow countryman Isco of Real Madrid at Nº23 with 75M€

SPANISH FOOTBALL CLUBS | MONEY FOOTBALL LEAGUE REPORT

Financial consultancy firm "Deloitte" has released its annual report on World Soccer & the Clubs. English Club Manchester United leads the ranking as the Football Club with most income generation for 2016-2017 with 676,3M€. Spanish Football Club Real Madrid sits in second place (374,6M€) & shuts the gap down to just 2M€. Other Spanish Football Clubs to note are FC Barcelona in 3rd position & Atletico de Madrid in 13th position (see below).

Real Madrid CF has not made a transfer signing for 2 seasons, but has sold players. This has contributed to increase their bank account along with stadium crowds, TV rights, Marketing  etc.

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE 2017-18 | MOST VALUABLE CLUBS & PLAYERS

Champions League 2017-2018 kicks off tonight & Spanish Sports paper "Marca" highlights the fact with this spectacular front cover today (below). Four Spanish Football Clubs are represented: Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Atletico de Madrid & Sevilla FC, with Barça playing Juventus FC & At.Madrid playing AC Roma tonight. Real Madrid & Sevilla FC have their Group games scheduled tomorrow.

However, website "Transfermarket" publish on their site the "Economic value" of the Clubs & Players that will participate in this seasons Champions League. Economic figures given by the website that you can agree with or not. Real Madrid & FC Barcelona are the most valuable Clubs, first & second respectively, with At.Madrid in 9th position & Sevilla FC in 16th.

According to the website "Transfermarket", Spanish Football Club Real Madrid has increased its players value by 66M€ under French Coach Zidane.The mentioned website features in particular 7 players who´s market value has increased under the "guidance" of Zidane.

According to Football website "Transfermarket",  Spanish Football Club Real Madrid CF is the world's most valuable Club. With new signings still to arrive & others still to depart the team squad is valued 783,30M €uros.

No team in the World comes close to Real Madrid in these terms, with value increasing season after season. The 11 th Champions League - European Cup - win & title last season has given the Club a huge economic boost. Just Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale & Karim Benzema add up to 260M€.

The Portuguese star´s value with respect to last season falls 10M€ due to "age", however the value of Welshman Gareth Bale & Frencman Benzema are on the rise. Gareth Bale jumps from 80 to 90M€ while the market value of forward Karim Benzema jumps from 50 to 60M€.

US Financial authority "Forbes" has released their list of the "Highest Paid Sportsman in the World". Two Football players who practice their profession in Spanish Football with Spanish Football Clubs top the list. The highest paid Sportsman on the planet is Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo with 77.2M€ earned for 2016. The Portuguese is followed by FC Barcelona forward Lionel Messi with 71.5M€.

English paper "Daily Mail" published today supposed conversations between Real Madrid President Florentino Perez & ex-Coach Rafa Benitez. One of the published quotes is a real beauty & I have no option but to post here; Florentino Perez to Rafa Benitez:

"Do you know how many shirts James sells? Kovacic does not sell us a single shirt"

This apparently was said during the period when James Rodriguez was sitting more on the bench than playing on the field. The English paper article strengthens what many Football insiders already suspect (or know), that President Florentino Perez is an interventionist. 

One of the reasons Carlo Ancelotti was let go was that President Perez believed that he was too soft, that the players had gotten the upper-hand over their Coach.   

These "little" filtrations from "insiders" give an insight to the inner workings of the World Biggest Football Club, & how the economic factors sit alongside ( or above) the Sporting issue.

International Business Consultancy "Deloitte" has released their annual report on which Football Clubs generate the most income. For the season 2014/2015 Spanish Football Club Real Madrid was the Club that most generated income with 577M€. Second on the list is rival Spanish Football Club, FC Barcelona with 560,8M€ while the other Spanish Soccer Club on their list is Atletico Madrid with 187,1M€ in 9th position.

The income is taken from tickets, TV rights, publicity, sponsorships & merchandising.

VALENCIA CF | HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO ADVERTISE ON A FOOTBALL CLUB SHIRT?

Have you ever wondered how much money it takes to get yourself, or your brand, on the front of a major Football Club? I suppose it depends on the notoriety of the Soccer Club in question, but this post will given us some insights. 

Spanish Football Club Valencia CF is offering  advertising space on the front of their shirt. That is, there looking for a sponsor & their price is 10,000,000 M€. Too much? Too little?

Valencia CF new owner Peter Lim has hired Football Marketing "guru" Peter Draper known for his exploits in the English Premier League. Draper comments that Valencia CF has as yet to shut a deal, which in itself says a lot. Draper however adds, independently its the right price.

Perhaps what the guru should know is that the price (& demand) is dependent on the Club success, as everything in Football. Valencia CF has not got off to a good start in Liga this season & their Coach Nuno is under pressure from the fan-base with an uncertain future. At this stage they do not have the upper places of the Liga table secured & least a place in Champions League next season.

Here is the factor, the answer to if 10M€ to much. If you win, keep winning & secure Champions League next season, its cheap. However, if you lose & cannot get into Europe for next season, if too much. 

Success, not the market rules here, & I think you don't need a "marketing guru" to repeat the obvious.

REAL MADRID SQUAD MOST VALUABLE IN WORLD SOCCER

Spanish Football Club Real Madrid is currently the most valuable team in the World (players wise). If we analyse the current market value of their players - data obtained from website "Transfermarkt" (online reference in the assessment of footballers), Real Madrid has managed to revalue their squad in 30 million euros this year. 

Real Madrid has jumped from 685,8 million € to a number closer to the 716 M€. The current valuation of the 23 players which complete the current 2015-2016 squad under Coach Rafael Benitez breaks the barrier of 700 million €. Despite finally not signing Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea, which would have lifted further the economic value, Real Madrid CF stays at the head of the 10 teams with more value in the World Soccer. 

Also the Spanish Football Club tops the list with "Best value per player on average": 32.5M€. Players like Cristiano Ronaldo, James Rodriguez, Karim Benzema, Tony Kroos, Gareth Bale, Luka Modric & the rest are the "Jewels in the Crown", six World Stars that put Real Madrid CF at the top of the podium. They field an eleven with players where they can boast the highest price of the market.

According to "sportingintelligence" Spanish Football club Real Madrid is the 2º Club (all Sports) that spends most on players salary. The other Spanish Football Club on the Top 12 list is FC Barcelona in 4th place.

FC Barcelona Argentine star Lionel Messi tops the list - Nº1 - again this year with 65M€, eleven million euros ahead of 2º nd placed Cristiano Ronaldo of Real Madrid with a cool 54M€.
