Eibar hosted Madrid Club Rayo Vallecano & deservedly won 1 - 0. The locals could have scored more goals but lacked that "final touch", plus they hit the bar. The goalscorer for Eibar was the opposition player Llorente in the 20th min with his own goal.
Eibar maintains its good line of Football.
RCD Espanyol hosted Granada to give the spectators a 1 - 1 draw but a boring game of Football. Granada went ahead through Babin in the 57th min & with Espanyol down to 10 men looked as if they have the game in hand. But a late 93rd min equalizer by Caicedo gave the home team a point & avoided a severe local fan whistle. Granada are very disappointed for allowing the match to slip through their fingers.
Real Sporting de Gijon managed its first home win defeating 1 - 0 Malaga FC. Good match by the locals with young on-loan from Barça player Halilovic starring for Gijon. He gave the team the opener & the eventual winner in the 28th min with a majestic drive. The same player later hit the bar. Malaga FC continue not being able to find their game away from home, more work needed in this area.
Real Betis lost 1 - 3 at home to Athletic Club Bilbao. Bilbao was superior with an outstanding Williams scoring two goals - 1st & 45th min - & Raul Garcia in the 86th min. The only goal for Real Betis came from a penalty in the 67th min converted by Ruben Castro.
