Crusat scores for Almeria in Spanish Cup

ALMERIA took a 0 - 1 advantage from the 1ºst leg to DEPORTIVO A CORUÑA & managed to win the 2º leg 2 -3 & thus make Club history going into the semi-finals of the Spanish Cup. Almeria sent the home team a clear message of intentions with two quick goals via CORONA in the 19th min & CRUSAT in the 20th min that shock Deportivo. However the home team attempted a brave come back & nearly pulled it off with goals from PABLO ALVAREZ ( penalty ) in the 43rd min & ADRIAN in the 51st min. But the wind was taken out of the Deportivo sails with a penalty to Almeria which GOITOM converted in the 55 th min take assured the victory & history.

Molina scores in Spanish Cup

FC BARCELONA won 5- 0 in the 1ºst leg & REAL BETIS had it stiff beforehand to knock out Barça, however although Barcelona left on the bench important players - Abidal, Puyol, Villa, Iniesta, Pedro...etc - they were alert & aware that Betis are a fine team & leading the Spanish 2º Division. The end result of 3 - 1 gave Barcelona Coach Guardiola pre-match reason & Real Betis inflicted a pride lifting & significant victory over FC Barcelona in this 2º leg Quarter Final clash that gives Barcelona the pass into the semi - finals of the Spanish Cup ( 6 - 3 aggregate) but the moral victory & protagonism to Real Betis. 
REAL BETIS commenced making everyone believe in a possible "miracle" when they scored via MOLINA in the 2nd min & again in the 7th min to shake seriously Barça & set in the nerves within the visitors. Real Betis was dominating Barcelona & could have scored two more goals but the quality & final definition let them down. FC Barcelona drew a sigh of relief when LIONEL MESSI scored in the 36th min, but Real Betis kept hammering away & had more goal chances & then lifted excitement levels as Betis Captain ARZU scored in the 46th min the third goal to go into the 2º half making you wonder if ...
The 2nd half saw Real Betis pay for their gigantic earlier efforts & FC Barcelona was more alert & cautious with their main aim being control of the situation. LIONEL MESSI missed a "no" penalty in the 56th min, but Real Betis kept attacking & showing that tonight was definitely their night even if they could not pull off "the miracle".
Conclusion: superb effort & display from Real Betis who I am sure will be a Spanish 1st Division team next season, & FC Barcelona qualify for the semi - final where they will play Almeria.
