The Spanish Football - Soccer - League ("La Liga") celebrated the last match of Round 26 tonight with a very suffered victory by ATLETCO DE MADRID over OSASUNA 1-0
As traditional, the Atletico de Madrid supporters had their hearts on their sleeves all night as the nerves & the frustrations was again part of their night. This doesn´t mean it was a bad match, all the contrary, it was a grand game of Football with end to end chances which could have given either side a handsome advantage. However, Atletico de Madrid played their best Football when they were left with 10 men after SIMAO received his second yellow in the 57th min & was sent off.
Against the grain, young JURADO picked up the ball outside the box & curved his shot passed the Osasuna goalie Ricardo to score & give his side the winner in the 79th min. As expected everyone with Atletico colours released their accumulated frustration with a roar that brought the home stadium down. Heroic stuff with just 10 men, that takes nothing away from Osasuna who played well, bravely & had their chances.

I think Athletico Madrid are good. Hard for them being in the shadow of Real. They have a tough game against Sporting Lisbon ahead of them in the Europa League.
