Spanish Football - Soccer - League, commonly called "La Liga" played six games of Round 26 tonight with the following results, scorers & images.
FC BARCELONA managed to "brush off" an annoying & dangerous VALENCIA CF side in the 2ºhalf to finally win 3-0. The man of the match was LIONEL MESSI who scored a HAT-TRICK (56th, 81st & 82nd min) to take his personal season tally to 22 goals as he is currently leading the Spanish League Top Scorer calssification, called "El Pichichi".
The sending off for a 2ºnd yellow card (Red Card) to Valencia defender Maduro in the 69th min left his team with 10 & they could not stop from then on the Barcelona attacks. Watch the VIDEO of the Messi 1ºst goal of this match below, which is a real gem:
FC Barcelona remains as last week, joint with Real Madrid on the ladder with the same points, but second due to the goal difference.
VILLAREAL did the job with their
2-0 victory over last placed
XEREZ. The home team seems to be finding its game & the two goals came via
LLORENTE in the 32nd min & By
ESCUDERO in the 90th min.
TENERIFE is having its own battle to get out of the relegation zone & today they made a giant step with their
4-1 victory over
RCD ESPANYOL who are now in dire straits. The first goal came in the 20th min for the home team by
RICHI which was followed with a second thanks to
NINO in the 49th min. Espanyol lifted & was rewarded with a goal from
VERDU, however Tenerife reacted with two more goals from
ALFARO in the 87th min &
NINO again in the 90th min. Good win for the Canary Island team.
RACING &
REAL ZARAGOZA played a
0-0 draw which was correct for two teams who are relatively on the same level & with the same classification worries.
ALMERIA under their new Coach Lillo have improved & tonight once again managed a positive result with a 1-0 victory over MALAGA. The winner came via SORIANO (above) in the 56th min. They are happy at Almeria.
VALLADOLID are fighting to survive in the 1ºst Division & went out rough & tough in the 1st half against REAL MADRID, but their aggressiveness fizzled out as the match went on & ended up losing 1-4.
The first half was full of yellow cards & the referee was bad, as he failed to place his authority & things continued to get out of hand. CRISTIANO RONALDO scored from a free-kick in the 28th min to put Real ahead, watch the VIDEO of this great goal:
