The 2009 Montecarlo MASTERS 1000 Final between Spanish World Nº1
RAFAEL NADAL & Serbian World Nº3 NOVAK DJOKOVIC has finished
with the former winning 6-3; 2-6; 6-1 to create tournament history & become
the only player to win the title 5 times in a row.
It was´nt easy for Nadal after Djokovic won the 2ºset & pushed Nadal to the
limit. However, it is at the limit were Nadal plays his best tennis & managed to
pull himself back into the game & psychologically defeat the Serbian who
loosened his grip on the game & allowed the Spaniard to wrap things up.

Rafael Nadal now notches up 23 clay court titles & he equals Roger Federer with
14 Master 1000 titles. "The King of Clay" continues on his merry way on clay
direction Roland Garros.
