ITALIAN PRESS PLACES CANNAVARO AT JUVENTUS NEXT SEASON

News emanating from Italian press, which has been picked up here locally by
“rumour” Sports daily “AS”, has situated REAL MADRID & Italian
International Captain 35 year old FABIO CANNAVARO at JUVENTUS
for next year.

According Sky Sport 24, Tuttosport & Datasport, Cannavaro had set a limit
which was yesterdays match against Recreativo for Real Madrid to make a
move & inform if they wished to extend his contract, something that didn’t
happen & has made Cannavaro take the initiative & decide his future. The deal
is for one year at Juventus, with an option for another, before hanging up the
boots to then form part of the Juventus Club Directive Team. The deal has been
shut verbally & still needs to be formalized with a signature. The Italian player
who finishes contract with Real Madrid the 30th of June would go free to
Juventus, but is leaving open a window for the Spanish Club in case it reacts in
the last minute. If Real Madrid does not make a move the Italian will sign & shut
his future.
