SPAIN | 2010 THE BIGGEST HISTORICAL YEAR IN SPANISH SPORTS

2010 has been a spectacular year for SPANISH SPORTS. There has been many moments with great & grand victories in team & individual competitions. For Spanish Football Sports Blog there has been three magical moments that comes immediately to mind: in Football the FIFA World Cup victory & World Championship in South Africa, in Tennis Rafael Nadal with his 3 Grand Slam victories (French, Wimbledon & US Open) & in MotoGp with all three catagories - 125cc, Moto 2 & Moto Gp - being won by Spanish riders & in particular Jorge Lorenzo who becomes the 2º Spaniard in its History to take the title.

Out of all the 2010 achievements obviously on a collective level the SPANISH NATIONAL FOOTBALL TEAM takes the prize & on an individual level RAFAEL NADAL. Lets finish off the year with 3 VIDEOS to give tribute to Spanish Sports & the three great moments of the year.

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE 2010: ROBBEN & NASRI GOAL VIDEO

Watch the VIDEO of these two amazing goals which occurred last night in their respective CHAMPIONS LEAGUE games. The first by ex Real Madrid player ARJEN ROBBEN who help give the qualifying ticket to his team Bayern Munich for the Quarter Finals. SFS FLASHBACKS: SPAIN - FRANCE MATCHES ( 1984 EURO FINAL & 2006 WORLD CUP) - YES, WE CAN

The Spanish National Football Team travels mid-week to play France in an International Friendly match that serves perfectly to measure & “feel the Spanish Team pulse” of the current European Champions who are “hot favourites” (along with Brazil) for the upcoming South African World Cup Finals.

Traditionally France is the nemesis & the “dark angel” who have eliminated Spain out of important competitions, or defeated them in important finals like in the 1984 Euro. Spain has not been able to win on French soil in the last 42 years, but has defeated their neighbour in a friendly game, the last being in 2008 with a 1-0 win over France in the Spanish city of Cartagena with a goal from Capdevila.

To build up the atmosphere for this Wednesday night clash, SFS has two Flashback videos that although many Spaniards will wish to forget may also serve to inspire & motivate to continue turning back the historical tide & send a clear message to all rivals that this Spanish Team intends to go all the way to the top of World Football. Yes, We Can; al least we hope :0)

VIDEO: DAVID VILLA GOAL AGAINST GETAFE - PURE CLASS

VALENCIA CF & Spanish International forward DAVID VILLA has
gone into the lead in the Spanish League goal scoring tally with
17 goals so far, ahead FC Barcelona player Messi (16 goals) & Real
Madrid player Higuaín (14 goals). The race will be definately on
until the end of the season between these 3, with the possiblity of
Cristiano Ronaldo joining them, for the prestigious "Pichichi Award".

SPANISH FOOTBALL - LA LIGA 2008/ 2009 - ROUND 28: FC BARCELONA & REAL MADRID CHASE TITLE WITH WINS (SEE VIDEO)

Hi, great to be back home after some days of relax in the countryside.
You can see all of last weekends Round 28 results of "La Liga" on the
right hand side widget.

FC BARCELONA reacted strongly to the pressure put on by REAL
MADRID in their particular two team "fight" to win this years "Liga"
title. Barça maintains its 6 point lead at the Top of the classification
table over Real & the outcome of this battle is some impressive Football
(Soccer) being played from both sides.
