HOLA RAUL | SCHALKE 04 SPANISH FOOTBALL PLAYER WINS THE HEARTS OF THE GERMAN FANS

Spanish Football Players have historically been very timid in their majority in leaving home shores to play elsewhere in Europe, the language & the cultural difficulties have often been cited as importante causes.

That has all changed in the last few years with many Football players going & currently playing in the English Premier League, the Budesliga, Greece, Russia, Italy, Turkey...etc. The fact is that many are doing quiet well indeed for themselves & with their team becoming local stars & heroes.

So much is the adoration towards some Spanish born players overseas that "field chants - songs" have been created by the local fans to cheer them on, the most recent famous example being Liverpool with their ode to Fernando Torres with the local super-hit "Liverpool´s Nº9" before leaving to Chelsea.

Now we have another song getting on the "airwaves" from German team fans SCHALKE 04 & towards their Spanish foward , ex - Real Madrid Captain, RAUL GONZALEZ BLANCO. Spanish musician Rafael de Alcala & German Forster Volker have recorded "HOLA RAUL". Apparently it is a local hit!

The song is the least of the news, great to hear obviously, but not the main point. The caption is that RAUL has settled in nicely with his new Club, has won the hearts of the Schalke 04 fans & is again enjoying playing Football & added to this, is still creating milestones. Thats the big & good news, great story & happy fun song at that...

CHELSEA FC UNVEIL NEW FERNANDO TORRES SONG | VIDEO

New star Chelsea FC signing Spanish International forward FERNANDO TORRES now has a song at his new Club. Yes, Chelsea could not be less than Liverpool & have notched up a song that smell every little bit of it as pure Marketing as the "publicity machine" kicks off to recoup part of the Investment in sponsorships & merchandising.

The only negative bit is the "fake" Spanish accent from Chris Cohen thats a bit annoying but one can handle it as there is a "killer" Football Chorus for the Chelsea fans to sing & rip their lungs out at the matches.

I am seeing some comment "bitching" flying around between Liverpool & Chelsea fans on the web , but I suppose that this is precisely the aim of the video: to get people talking as it gives more publicity.

Leave you with the video & the track which is "long" & less as compact ( & less Football spirited) as the chant when Fernando Torres was sang to at Liverpool. I would imagine those same latter ex-fans will be changing their "version" with *@$€ Y&# C"?$@ words. That´s Football.

SPANISH FOOTBALL PLAYER DAVID VILLA HAS HIS OWN SONG | A SUMMER HIT

Spain has “DAVID VILLA FEVER”. So much so that a local music group from Northern Spain – exactly from the region of Asturias & region where David Villa was born – has made a song that is catching on. To understand the track, David Villa comes from a coal mining village called Tuilla (Langreo, Asturias) from humble & working class family associated with the mines.

The song is sung with a typical regional accent & slang that sings of the beginnings & rise of the “prodigal son”. The “song hook” is the chorus “illa, illa, Villa , Mara - Villa” which is catching on like wildfire throughout the country as the Spanish National Football Team
progresses in the World Cup & David Villa keeps scoring goals.

Here is a video montage by a fan featuring the number, which isn’t a typical Billboard Nº1 song but has all of Spain currently singing it:

ATLETICO DE MADRID CLUB CHANT | SONG

Source: Sp Ftball Sprts /
Spanish League Club ATLETICO DE MADRID will meet English team Fulham in the Final of the EUROPA LEAGUE this Wednesday 12th of May in the city of Hamburg (Germany). Those who are regular readers of Spanish Football Sports will have figured out by now that "yours truely" is an Atletico de Madrid follower & "die hard". I must confess I am excited & at the sametime "nrevous" as this is a HUGE event for a humble & working class origin Club. I would think that our English & Fulham friends are in the same boat. I wish the English Club & fans luck & may the better team win.

However, I was thinking that perhaps SFS readers may wish to know what the Atletico de Madrid Club chant / song sounds like. This is the typical chant sung at the field with another half dozen songs, but this is the big one, the one that puts the hairs on your back straight up.
I enjoy the traditional - historical version:

LUARA HAYRAPETYAN OF ARMENIA SINGS TO FC BARCELONA AT EUROVISION JR CONTEST 2009

Young Luara Hayrapetyan representing Armenia came in runner-up
yesterday at the EUROVISION JR contest with her song BARCELONA:

She & her team dressed the FC BARCELONA outfit & poured their
hearts out to lovely & catchy tune. Perhaps the Spanish Club should

consider Laura as a pre-match "Classic" Barça vs Real Madrid
performance
at "Camp Nou" next Sunday. It would be a great
Marketing exercise
for everyone.
