FC BARCELONA REACHES 100 MILLION SOCIAL FANS

Spanish Football Club FC Barcelona has become the first Sporting Institution in World Sports to have reached 100.000.000 social media fans. The Club has thanked all its World followers via Twitter with the below image.

A prize for the excellent work that the FC Barcelona Marketing department is doing to expand the Barça brand around the World. Just to remind, FC Barcelona is not just a Football Club, they have a Basketball, Hockey, Indoor Soccer, Waterpool & other teams under the Barça umbrella. 

The break up of fans is in the following manner:

Facebook (64,3%): 66.229.548 million

Twitter (22,2%): 22.910.707

FC BARCELONA LEADS FACEBOOK FANS 2012

The Portuguese website "Futebol Finance" has elaborated its particular " Football Facebook Index " , a barometer that examines the scope & scale of Club brands in the social media channels.

The 838 million users of Facebook (2012) now represent nearly 40% of the total number of Internet users on the planet. The 100 clubs that are part of " Football Facebook Index "meet the preference of more than 189 million users, or about 8.3% of the world population with Internet access (2,267 million in December 2011) and about 23% the total number of Facebook users.

The Top Facebook Clubs are FC Barcelona & Real Madrid.

ATHLETIC CLUB BILBAO SPANISH CUP VIDEO

"All together. Go for the Cup". That is the name - "war cry" - of ATHLETIC CLUB BILBAO in this video that the Club has just posted up on all the social media channels.

The motive is to warm-up the Bilbao followers & build up the atmosphere for this Fridays SPANISH CUP FINAL ( Copa del Rey Final ) against FC BARCELONA at the Vicente Calderon Stadium in Madrid. 


Nice touch from the Club to subtitle the video in English for all the non-Spanish/Basque speaking fans. I am supporting Athletic this Friday , I think the team deserves a title for their wonderful season.

SPANISH FOOTBALL SPORTS is all about you. The mission is to get all the Spanish Football News & Spanish Sports achievements to you in English. Why? Because you may not read Spanish for starters, & because "English" is currently the global language.

With this in mind, I also wish to keep giving a better service & value to you. Don´t forget I am just one guy who loves Football & Sports,  & apart also has a life. That is,  its a "one man band" & with the moments I can scrap off the clock. I am committed,  as the regular followers can testify , & thus wish to improved inside my humble capabilities.

SPANISH FOOTBALL SPORTS BLOG reaches a historical milestone that I never even would have imagined when I began this wonderful adventure. Today the site-statistics show that the blog has passed 2,000,000 historical unique visits.


Mind blowing for myself with a site that reaches the global & has readers from all the continents. I can only say THANK YOU, for your support, loyalty, fantastic comments & all the hard edged criticisms. Whatever the case, promoting Spanish Football & Sports has been the prime motive & the aim has always been to get it out to all four corners of the World in English so you dont have to miss out on anything even if you don´t command the wonderful language of Spanish.

Thanks to all the supportive e-mails from Spaniards overseas who say that their daily dose of updates comes directly from this site. Thank you , thank you...

Hi guys. Slow day here in Spain today with the Spanish Football - Soccer news. The only big thing hitting the Spanish Sports papers are the alleged & supposed "doping" acusations to the three time Spanish Tour De France cyclist Alberto Contador. Something he denies as "food contamination" & that the ICU has to study further with more examinations. Remember, one is innocent until proven guilty.

SPANISH FOOTBALL TEAM | SOCIAL MEDIA

Social Media is taking off in a big way with everyone, especially the Spanish Football Players, who upload plenty of comments, videos & photos on their Facebook & Twitter accounts. Xabi Alonso, Arbeloa, Sergio Ramos, Iniesta, Cesc Fabregas etc wish to stay in touch with their fans & that is great!

Here are two examples of photos on Twitter were the players are delighted to step on the Boca Juniors Stadium for the first time in their lifes to later train for the upcoming Argentina - Spain International Friendly...

Cesc & Iniesta also wished to have a photo of this exceptional moment...

The Team had the night before the game a top reception at the Presidential "Rose House" with President Kirchner which included twitter uploads of photos & comments; they were all delighted. Just like a holiday.

As we - & you - can see the Spanish Football Players were really hyped up for the Argentine International Friendly. They were 100% concentrated in the task of defending their recently acquired World Champions Title. By the way Spain lost 4-1 - full post below of the match.
