REAL MADRID - ROBERT LEWANDOWSKI | SOMETHING GOING ON

The Real Madrid - Robert Lewandowski rumours seems to have a real connection. The lastest piece stamped over local Spanish Sports papers is the comments from Cezary Kucharski the players representative picked up by polsatsport.pl.

When asked at a recent Football ceremony the representative was asked... "Is there anything going on with Real Madrid"? The answer from Kucharski was "There is".

Real Madrid candidate

With these comments, there seems to be no doubt that there are real possibilities that the Bayern Munich striker could end up next season at Real Madrid. However, the negotiations are apparently being tough as news sources cite that the player asks for 18M€ per season. Big money as this would put the player with the Cristiano Ronaldo salary range.

Added to this, German Club Bayern Munich will not make it easy. They will fight to keep their player, & if unsuccessful will ask for a 100M€ transfer price. If this was not a difficult hurdle for Real Madrid, a new competitor may intervene in the player operation.

Manchester City, which will have current Bayern Munich Coach Guardiola next season, has their sights also on the Polish forward.

Stay tuned!

08.02.2016 Today the players representative Cezary Kucharski denied any connection with Real Madrid. This indicates that there is :O)

LEWANDOWSKI | SAYS ONLY GOES TO REAL MADRID

Real Madrid News

The Robert Lewandowski affair with Real Madrid has a history. Years back when the Polish forward was at Borussia Dortmund, & after defeating Real Madrid at the "Santiago Bernabeu Stadium" in Champions League game, Real Madrid President Florentino Perez went down to the dressing rooms looking for the forward. It is said that both crossed each other & Perez asked Lewandoski, "would you like to play at Real Madrid"? The forward declined with education & finally went to Bayern Munich where he have a pre-agreement, but neither have forgotten each other or that first brief encounter.

Real Madrid

Currently both are said to be "dancing" to the transfer tune, metaphorically speaking. The Football Sports papers have been dedicating space & headlines speculating about possible negotiations, with circunstancial evidence added when the players representative was invited by Real Madrid President to watch a game.

Latest news comes out from England & the paper "The Independent" where they claim Lewandowski has rejected succulent offers from Manchester United, Manchester City & Chelsea FC. The reason? The Bayern Munich forward only wants to go to Real Madrid

So keen is the apparent interest that it is written that Lewandowski has accepted to wait a further year if FIFA is successful with their non-signing sanction until 2017 placed on Real Madrid in the "under-age players accusations".  If Real Madrid successfully appeals the FIFA sanction, Lewandowski landing at Real Madrid could be sooner, next summer.

Stay tuned for further developments.

REAL MADRID - ATLETICO DE MADRID TRANSFER RUMOURS

What was Cezary Kucharski the representative of Bayern Munich & Polish International Striker Lewandowski doing at the Real Madrid - Getafe match last Saturday? According to Spanish Sports press, the player representative was invited personally by Real Madrid President Florentino Perez, & the talk is, to discuss his client Lewandowski.

The player has contract with Bayern Munich until 2019 & the Germans wish to extended the contract while raising his salary to around 10€ per season. The player has rejected the first offer & it seems that Real Madrid may be fishing in rough waters.

Still too early to say much more, Real Madrid made an attempt when Lewandowski was finishing contract at Dortmund, while the representative could be playing his cards with both Clubs.

Lewandowski

Meanwhile the other rumour is that English Premier League Club Chelsea FC is willing to offer 50 M€ to Atletico de Madrid for French International Antoine Griezmann.

At Madrid

Appears Mourinho wants Diego Costa out & could offer money & a return back to Spain for Costa. This news piece is still to be confirmed & a definite rumour at this stage. Griezmann has many more big Clubs following him, & can basically choose if he decides to make a move from Atletico de Madrid.

SPANISH FOOTBALL | NEXT STOP FOR LEWANDOWSKI ?

The Barcelona based Sports press has been giving Borussia Dortmund Polish International Forward Lewandowski plenty of attention these days. According to the local press sources Barça Coach Martino has asked for a "pure Striker" - a Number 9 - for the upcoming Winter Transfer Market & Lewandowski maybe the main target. Added to this the speculated transfer price is said by Barcelona media to be 8,5M€. Low? I explain below...

Sport.es Spanish Football.

Lewandoski finishes contract 30th June 2014, & as of the 1st of January 2014 he becomes a "free agent", that is,  he can negotiate with which ever Club he desires & Dortmund receives zero transfer fee. The German Club thus wants to shut a transfer deal before the 1st of Janauary 2014 so at least get some money, even if it is only 8,5M€.

The forward has a pre-agreement with Bayern Munich & all news indicates that Lewandoski wants to play at Bayern Munich, but Munich Coach Guardiola does not consider his signing a priority. The Spanish Coach team set-up & on-field strategy does not contemplate the need for a Centre Forward & the Dortmund player does not see that he will be an important element in the Bayern team or get regular playing time. With this scenario Lewandowski is willing to consider alternative options.

FC Barcelona has targeted the player & is talking with Borussia Dortmund, this has the Barcelona press excited & contemplating a possible signing at the end of the year. However, Barça is not the only team targeting the Polish International. Manchester City, Chelsea FC , Arsenal & Real Madrid are also "on the ball".

News from "alternative local sources" say that Real Madrid is much more closer than FC Barcelona & may have the lead over their rival. Real Madrid has excellent relations with Dortmund & may include on loan player Sahin in the negotiations. According to Football observers outside Barcelona, Real Madrid does not wish to pay any transfer fee & will wait till the end of the season to seal officially terms & incorporate the player.

To finish, this all all speculation & a lot of Sports press hype at this stage. I will keep an eye on developments as things change quickly in Football with the impossible today turning possible tomorrow.

ROBERT LEWANDOWSKI STILL A SIGNING OPTION FOR REAL MADRID ?

This news piece from Spanish Sports paper "AS" is a definite seller & not to say a big media grabber. The article comments that Polish International & Borussia Dortmund forward Robert Lewandowski is at "firing distance" for Real Madrid for the up coming "Winter Market".

The reasons are the following:

  • The player ends contract on June 2014 & his Club will prefer to get some money with a transfer before the player becomes a "free agent" on the 1st of January 2014.
  • The relations between Dortmund & Real Madrid are exceptional. In fact , Dortmund would prefer to have Lewandowski elsewhere than with the eternal rival of Bayern Munich.
  • A possible "Winter Market" operation could be as low as 15M€, a bargain price for a "Top" player.
  • Lastly, current Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema is not performing, not scoring goals & this is "worrying" the "top brass" at Real Madrid.

REAL MADRID RUMOUR

But hold on hasn´t Lewandowski an agreement with Bayern Munich? Hasn´t the player commented he wishes to go to Bayern Munich? Correct on all fronts, but something could have changed since all this happened & was said.

Bayern Munich Coach Josep Guardiola is finally getting his team to assimilate & put into practice his Football ideas & philosophy. The way of understanding the Football of Guardiola puts a Number Nine Striker onto a second level. Said another way, for Guardiola & the way he wants Bayern Munich to play, Robert Lewansowski is not vital nor essential. We are talking about a Coach that practically invented the "False 9" figure: a midfielder that does the role of a Number Nine confusing the opponent Central Defenders as they don't have someone to mark or as a reference. In FC Barcelona that figure was Lionel Messi & at Bayern Munich it looks like Ribery ( & Muller ) have taken on that role.

This makes one think that if the above is correct, that Bayern Munich may not be so keen to get on-board Lewandowski, plus the player himself may intuitively suppose that he will not be such an "important" piece in the Guradiola scheme at Bayern & could be placed in positions not habitual ( happened to David Villa at Barça when placed on a wing ) or on the bench. Obviously this would make any top class Football professional rethink his decisions & his desires to contemplate viable alternatives, & Real Madrid is a very viable alternative. At the Spanish Club Lewandoski would be a regular & have a solid place to the detriment of Benzema, but this is Football.

So although all this is currently "Football sci-fi" & I would not get too excited at this stage if a Real Madrid fan, it does merit that we keep our ears open & eyes on the ball to see if things evolve & in fact becomes viable.

LEWANDOWSKI - REAL MADRID | WHERE THERE IS HOPE ...

Borussia Dortmund striker Lewandowski is back in the pages of the Spanish Sports papers. The Polish forward & his future is uncertain & this has given some hope to Real Madrid in contemplating a possible signing. I did say hope, although still difficult. Lets get into the context.

Real Madrid candidate 2013

Lewandowski has another season of contract with Dortmund. If Dortmund are to get money they must sell the player before the 1st of January 2014, or else the player can leave for free thereafter. The Polish striker thinking about his future signed a "pre-contract" with Bayern Munich ( illegal by the way under FIFA rules ) for next season excepting his Club would sell now.

However, Borussia Dortmund does not wish under any circumstances to strengthen its German rival & less sell its top class forward. Dortmund has excellent relations with Real Madrid & has offered Lewandowski at a "bargain price" of around 20-25M€.

The problem is Lewandowski. The Polish player does not want to leave Germany & wishes to play at Bayern Munich under Pep Guardiola. The man does not ( for now ) wish to think about any other Club. This is the only obstacle to a possible Real Madrid signing as both Clubs involved are in unison to shut this almost immediately.

With the future of Lewandowski in the air, FC Barcelona has entered the picture to see if they can "scrap" up some action. It is speculated that Barça may offer 30M€ to convince Club & player, but after the Neymar investment, I doubt Barça has the resources. I smell "revenge" for the Real Madrid interference & bidding war with Neymar. In any case, I sense neither Real Madrid & FC Barcelona will want to be aggressive against Bayern Munich which is the other piece of the puzzle.

In conclusion, Borussia will not sell to Bayern. Borussia has "offered" their player to Real Madrid but Lewandowski only wants to play at Bayern Munich. Stalemate? Hope for Real Madrid? Past experience shows that players play where they wish to play. At this moment Bayern Munich is in the front-seat. In the worst case, Lewandowski may decide to play his last year of contract at Borussia & go "free" to Bayern in 2014.

REAL MADRID NEGOCIATING FOR LEWANDOWSKI - ISCO ?

Spanish radio station "Cadena Ser" gave the news last night during its late night Football Show that Spanish Football Club Real Madrid CF was in negotiations with Borussia Dortmund & Malaga FC. The players in question are respectively Polish forward Robert Lewandowski & Spanish midfielder Isco.

Real Madrid 2013

According to the radio station German Club Borrusia Dortmund has approached Real Madrid because they wish to avoid making local rival Bayern Munich stronger & would prefer to sell elsewhere.

Spanish Soccer

The Isco case comes because it is speculated that Real Madrid may want to sell Luka Modric this summer as part of another operation & Isco would make an excellent substitute.

Apart from the news that both players have half of Europe looking at signing them & thus making successful the operations are difficult & very costly, the Spanish radio station in question is "flying out rumours" lately due to stiff competition between media channels & thus maybe looking for marketing exposure.

With the season nearly over, signings & transfers news will take over the front pages & media channels in the coming months & all news must be taken with a "grain of salt". We will be reading & hearing lots of rumours.

REAL MADRID SOUNDS OUT LEWANDOWSKI

The local Football observers comment that one of the reasons that Spanish Soccer Club Real Madrid falls short in Champions League is that they haven't a true striker in the squad. That is, a real goal-square "goal hunter" & specialist otherwise known as a classic "Number Nine".

I agree with this opinion. Higuain & Benzema are not "true" Number Nine profiles. Higuain fails in the big occasions & is more a "pitbull" style forward, while Benzema is more skillful & his natural area is just outside the goal square. It seems the Real Madrid Directives & technical staff are now aware of the need for a "classic striker" & will comb the European Market for next season.

Soccer Spain

Mentioned the above, Real Madrid President Florentino Perez sounded out last Tuesday night - after the Champions League semi final game  - Borussia Dortmund Polish striker Lewandowski. Apparently, the Real Madrid President invited the player post - match to an office at the stadium to ask & know how he would feel if Real Madrid made him an offer.

The news from Germany is that the Dortmund forward has an agreement with Bayern Munich & this will be his new destiny. However, a players representative has commented that the important element concerning his player is where he is more comfortable. This leaves the door open for Real Madrid.

In conclusion two points:

  • Real Madrid acknowledges that the squad needs a class striker, a pure "Number Nine"
  • That Lewandowski has been approached & is on the Clubs list of possible candidates.
Stay tuned for developments.
