THE REAL MADRID YOUNGSTERS IMPRESSING ELSEWHERE

Real Madrid keeps looking into the future, as any big Football Club should, in order to secure & guarantee talent apart from maintaining the levels that keeps them in line with their historic objective: the stay the Best Club in the World.

With this end, the Spanish Football Club scouts the World for talent & often signs players very young with 16 year old Norwegian Martin Odegaard the last case. However, living up to the Football standards expected in a "World class" filled team is complicated when your evolution & development depends on regular playing time from the start. Many young talents - local in-house & externally signed - have had to leave Real Madrid to find playing time elsewhere for some to star later e.g., Mata, Parejo, Negredo, Rodrigo, Soldado... (just to name a few) or come back more experienced after "growing up" elsewhere like Arbeloa or Carvajal.

Loaning players out, or selling with option of buy back, are methods which Real Madrid (& FC Barcelona with their youngsters ) utilize to give "options" to their young players to find the playing time & competition needed to grow & show if they are "Real Madrid material".

Two of these players, Casemiro (Porto) & Cheryshev (Villarreal) are having great seasons with their loaned out Clubs & have shown all their talents. According to Spanish Sports media Real Madrid has decided to bring both "back home" next season both players impressed with their current evolution. Some current Real Madrid "big names" are getting on & need more rest, while the long season is often filled with injuries where both mentioned youngster will be handy to have in case to fill vacant positions.

There is a third player that has impressed Real Madrid which had to sell to "leave the nest", Alvaro Morata currently at Italian Club Juventus. The Spanish Club is impressed with the "explosion" onto the scene of their ex-player that it is said that Real Madrid is currently studying buying back the forward. Remember Real Madrid sold for 21M€ & in order to recover Morata will need to spend 30 - 35M€, plus Juventus & player will have to agree which is not so clear at this stage.

Stay tuned for developments.

REAL MADRID - JAMES RODRIGUEZ AGREEMENT ?

The following news piece comes out of Spanish Sports daily "AS". The fanfare could be a paper selling tactic however the news in itself has been gaining "speaker volume" over the past days. According to the media source Real Madrid has come to an agreement with Colombian International & World Cup sensation James Rodriguez. The player would receive a salary of 7,5M€ /season & Real Madrid now needs to negotiate with Monaco to seal the operation.

News yesterday mentioned that rival FC Barcelona had entered the picture with a 90M€ bid to "complicate" the plans of Real Madrid soliciting the player for 2015, but it seems that the Monaco forward has only "eyes" for the Madrid Club & for this new season.

Monaco owner Rybolovlev started high in his price around 100M€ + mark but Real Madrid has managed to lower the price to around 80M€ & could further lower it to 70M€ including a player in the operation. Monaco asked for Pepe or Coentrao but both were rejected, however young Brazilian Casemiro likes & is valued at 10M€ which would make the operation 70M€ in cash + Casemiro 10M€ = 80M€.

Real Madrid is expected to sell in the coming days Argentine International Angel Di Maria to Paris St. Germain for around 60M€, money which will be used for the James Rodriguez operation.

Stay tuned for further developments.

REAL MADRID | THE ILLARRAMENDI DILEMMA

Real Madrid has a tactical & personal (human) "problem" coming into the Final of the UEFA Champions League that hasn't an easy solution. Spanish International midfielder & regular Xabi Alonso will not be able to partake with his team against Atletico de Madrid in the Lisbon Final on the 24th of May because of yellow card accumulation. His absence has left a worrying "hole" strategically in the Real Madrid midfield that his giving the Real Madrid technical staff a "head-ache".

The natural solution is 24 year old Asier Illarramendi who was bought for nearly 40M€ from Real Sociedad as the eventual replacement of Xabi Alonso. A very talented Football player & a promise for the Spanish International team that has no debate. However, the young player is currently undergoing a "confidence crisis" that has Coach Ancelotti concerned.

Illarramendi suffers doubts in his game that have been exacerbated by a mistake in the Quarter-Final match against Borussia Dortmund that lead directly to a Marco Reus goal after losing the ball in the midfield. Illarramendi was "mentally devasted" & Coach Ancelotti took him off at half-time for Isco attempting to "soften" the change for the player.

Again against Valencia CF in Liga on Sunday, Coach Ancelotti substituted Illarramendi as he looked to avoid a loss that would have been the end of all chances for Real Madrid in conquering the Spanish Liga title.

The Italian Coach knows beforehand that another midfielder is better situated for the Champions League Final & has much more confidence, he is Casemiro, but the Brazilian did not cost 40M€, plus leaving out Illarramendi from the Champions League Final maybe the final blow that pushes over the edge young Illaramendi.

The Real Madrid Coach may continue with his policy of giving more playing time to Illarrramendi for the remaining three Liga matches in an attempt to build up the players confidence but all three games are vital as a lost in any will be good-bye to the Spanish Liga title.

Dilemma, & an important one at that for the Real Madrid Coaching staff. Illarramendi or Casemiro?

REAL MADRID | CASEMIRO THE BRAZILIAN HOPE

The name is CARLOS HENRIQUE CASEMIRO 20 year old Brazilian SAO PAULO midfielder who has come over to REAL MADRID on loan with a buying option at the end of the season.

Surprised that this move over from Brazil has not received much news locally. The idea is that the Brazilian incorporates himself to Castilla ( Real Madrid B team ). The player is a Brazilian U/17 & U/20 International but was not getting too much playing time at Sao Paulo.

However the player is a promise & big things are expected from the midfielder. Casemiro made his debut with the Brazilian National Team against Argentina last September.

We will keep a close eye on this player the coming months. I would expect that the objective of the Brazilian is to stay & work his way to the Real Madrid A team.
