SPANISH SPORTS | RAFAEL NADAL LOSES AUSTRALIAN TENNIS FINAL & SPAIN LOSSES IN HANDBALL

Serbian World Nº1 Tennis player NOVAK DJOKOVIC starts the 2012 Tennis season as he finished last,  winning the 2012 AUSTRALIAN OPEN 5-7, 6-4, 6-2, 6-7 & 7-5 Spanish player & World Nº 2 RAFAEL NADAL is a historical match that lasted nearly 6 hours.

The Spaniard started well to take the first set, but Djokavic reacted over-powering Nadal with his serve & stroke shots to take the second & third set. The fourth was Nadal in his "pure state" playing with his heart & courage to force a fifth set after taking the tie-break. Nadal had Djokavic on the ropes in the fifth after breaking his serve but the Serb won it back & never looked back again.

Rafael Nadal once again falls to the power-play of the Serb in another Grand Slam final. In the end the result came down to fine details,  & in the case of Nadal , some bad decisions in crucial moments of the game. The Spaniard has "lost" his "killer instinct" as his only playing flaw is that once he has his opponent "down", Nadal fails to finish off the work with a clean "kill". This allows his adversaries - Djokavic in this case - to clean their wounds & lift to fight again having learnt the lesson. Said differently, keeps letting off the hook his main opponents, today not being any different.

Congratulations to Djokavic for his extraordinary performance & victory, well deserved. I have no doubt we will be seeing again Djokavic - Nadal in more Tennis finals this season.

TENNIS: RAFAEL NADAL MAKES SPANISH HISTORY TO WIN THE AUSTRALIAN OPEN 2009

Spaniard & Tennis World Nº1 RAFAEL NADAL keeps making history
at the age of 22, as he become the first Spaniard ever to win the
AUSTRALIAN OPEN

The final was as expected with Swiss & current World Nº2 ROGER
FEDERER
who was attempting to equal the record of 14 Grand Slam
titles held by Peter Sampras.

The match was spectacular with both players taking Tennis to levels
that many have´nt seen , especially the 3rd set which was hard fought
& turned out to be vital. The set went to Nadal but Federer is a Champion
& fought back to equal the 4th & to take the game into a 5th set

Here the physical & mental strenght of Nadal is far superior & took the
deciding 5th set, match & title. Final score was 7-5;3-6;7-6;3-6;6-2.

Historic victory that later broke Federer emotionally were he released
all his frustration of being defeated. Rafael Nadal aware & sensative
showed
his maximum respect for the ex-Champ by straining his celebrations,
comforting his sporting friend & giving Federer encouragement.

It was a proud moment for all Spain, as Rafael Nadal is showing us all
that he is a Champion & a true gentlemen, something that most Spaniards
could learn & apply more in their daily lives as a Nation.

If "YouTube" DON´T decide to take this video off, here are the emotion
moments of 2 great Champions & Sportsmen. There are lessons here for
all of us who love Sports, they are examples to follow & Roger Federer
will win his 14th Grand Slam & possibly surpass it. Today Rafael Nadal
was better. Congratulations RAFA & thanks Roger:

TENNIS: NADAL & VERDASCO SHOW THE WORLD THE LEVEL OF SPANISH TENNIS

A pity only one wins. World Nº1 RAFAEL NADAL was pushed
to the limit by fellow Spaniard FERNANDO VERDASCO in their
AUSTRALIAN OPEN Semi-final to finally win 6-7,6-4,7-6,6-7,6-4

after more the 5 hours. In fact it was the longest game in Australian
Open history with Tennis from another galaxy.

Both have demostrated to the World that Spanish Tennis is in
magnificent form & that our players are currently the best. Verdasco
has had an outstanding run & will be a player to keep our eye on in
2009.

Rafael Nadal must now recover from this marathon game & play
Roger Federer in his first ever Aussie Open final, were the latter will
be fresher & may have the psychical advantage - apart the Federer

loves the playing surface.

Here is just ONE of the many increible points played by both Spaniards
(YouTube may take this video off due to Australia Tennis rights)
