CRISTIANO RONALDO WINS HIS 4TH GOLDEN BALL AWARD

France Football has announced this afternoon the winner of the "GOLDEN BALL AWARD 2016". It is now official Portuguese and Real Madrid player CRISTIANO RONALDO has won his 4th prize.  Its his 3rd "Ballon d´Or" with Real Madrid, the other being with Manchester United.

Cristiano Ronaldo won the vote from 173 specialist Football journalists, ahead of Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann. His 4th Award puts Cristiano Ronaldo in the highest end of the elite list of multiple winners.

FIFA "THE BEST" 2016 | FINALISTS

These three players are the finalists for the FIFA FOOTBALL AWARDS 2016 , otherwise better known for as the "FIFA Golden Ball". Although the changes introduced by the FIFA & France Football call it "THE BEST"...very marketing.

Final three Candidates:

• Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid CF)
• Lionel Messi (FC Barcelona)
• Antoine Griezmann (Atletico de Madrid)

All three players of LA LIGA, the premier league of Spanish Football.

Favourite is Cristiano Ronaldo, although surprises are possibe with Messi close, Griezmann must probably third placed.

FIFA GOLDEN BALL AWARD LIST 30 CANDIDATES

France Football has announced the 30 candidate names for this years FIFA Golden Ball Award. Concerning Spanish Football, has 13 of the 30 candidates that practice their profession in La Liga.

A total of 193 journalist will commence voting with the deadline the 25th of November. The list of the final three candidates will be announced the 13th of December.

FIFA GOLDEN BALL 2016 | THE THREE CANDIDATES

With around two months left for the announcement of the FIFA Golden Ball Award 2016, we have the three candidates:

• Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid)
• Lionel Messi (FC Barcelona)
• Antoine Griezmann (Atletico de Madrid)

The three have two common elements: they all play in the Spanish League - La Liga, & obviously are contracted by Spanish Football Clubs.

The favourite is Cristiano Ronaldo, but the great performances by Lionel Messi may give us the "big surprise". Griezmann seems almost certain to be 3º rd behind the other mega cracks.

The right to vote are for an elected journalist from each of the 211 federations recognized by FIFA.
