La Liga continued today with another three games, including the showcase of the reigning Spanish League Champions FC Barcelona against Real Betis. The final result of this game was a crushing 6 - 2 victory by FC Barcelona over Real Betis that included a HAT-TRICK by Luis Suarez.

If this is any indication the reigning Spanish Liga Champions start the season in top shape & again are definite firm candidates to be fighting again for the title in 2017. Barça started with new signings Umtiti & Denis Suarez, along with Turkish International Arda Turan; these along with a magical Messi destroyed the visitors. • Ruben Castro 20th min , 1 - 1
  • Messi 36th min, 2 - 1

La Liga Spain Football

For Betis their shinning light was their forward Ruben Castro who scored two goals.

Granada drew 1 - 1 with Villarreal in a match were the latter hit the post twice. The game lifted in entertainment in the second half when Samu put Villarreal ahead through a free kick in the 61st min. Granada then reacted & managed to score the equalizer in the 6th min through Ponce. Shared points!

See-saw stuff ( end to end Football) which added to the entertainment allowing the result to fluctuate in short periods. The balance could have tipped in favour to any of the two teams but in the end Sevilla FC managed to pull away & secure the 3 points.

Young Argentinian forward Vietto brought to Sevilla from At. Madrid this season shined tonight & could be a sign that this season could be his season.
