SPANISH FOOTBALL | ROUND 1 SUNDAY GAMES RESULTS

Spanish Football & Round 1 of La Liga continued today with another three matches scheduled. Here are all the final results along with all the goalscorers.

Spanish Football La Liga

Real Sporting de Gijon hosted Athletic Club Bilbao with a final result of 2 - 1 & victory for the home team. Well deserved win for Gijon which put in a disciplined effort from all their players.

The opener came in the 49th min when Cop scored, followed by a second in the 52nd min through Victor Rodriguez. Bilbao managed a consolation goal in the 85th min when Viguera scored. Good start for the season for Sporting.

La Liga Round 1 Real Madrid
Goal by Gareth Bale for Real Madrid vs Real Sociedad

Real Sociedad lost 0 - 3 to Real Madrid
. Comfortable game for the visitors who started with Kovecic & Asensio, leaving on the bench Isco & James. Real Madrid was superior throughout & the goals fell in the following order:
  • Gareth Bale 2nd min, 0 - 1
  • Marcos Asensio 40th min, 0 - 2
  • Gareth Bale 90th min, 0 - 3
Great game from Alvaro Morata who was unlucky not to have scored, along with Toni Kroos who hit the bar. Casamiro was a solid wall in the midfield & Gareth Bale very active & effective all game. The goal from Asensio is a must watch if you get a chance.

Good start & win for Real Madrid.

Spain Soccer Liga

Atletico de Madrid hosted promoted Deportivo Alaves & the final result 1 - 1 drew. A rocky & at the same time solid Alaves defence, lead by their goalkeeper Pacheco, kept out all of the Atletico multiple attempts at goal right up till the last moment when Gameiro transformed a penalty. However, big surprise, just when At Madrid thought they had the match, Manu Garcia equalized for Alaves in the 94th min.

Sanctioned Antonie Griezmann was missed by At. Madrid which needed that "extra something" tonight which the Frenchman has to break through well positioned defensive set ups.

La Liga Round 1 Monday Games:

Celta de Vigo 0 - Leganes 1 (Victor Diaz)

Valencia CF 2 (Mina, Mina) - Las Palmas 4 (Livaja, Viera, Boateng, Livaja)
