Real Sporting de Gijon put in a shocker of a game to lose 0 - 3 to Levante. The goals for Levante came from Deyverson with two - 1st & 43rd min - & Zou in the 26th min. Vital win for Levante which needs points as it sits at the bottom end of the table.
Eibar visited Villarreal & let the home side get back on their feet to equalize, final result a 1 - 1 draw. Eibar got ahaed via Enrich in the 26th min & had the match in hand, but Keko received a red card in the 75th min & left Eibar with 10 men. Villarreal took advantage & managed to equalize in the 84th min through Jaume Costa.
Granada last won in round 2 & tonight managed another win. Granada defeated Athletic Club Bilbao 2 - 0 regaining their lost Football. The first goal was an own goal by Bilbao defender Laporte in the 4th min, which followed with a 2º goal through Success in the 58th min.
Real Betis hosted Atletico de Madrid & lost their Liga match 0 - 1. The win for Atletico puts them in the 2º position on the Liga ladder, 2 points ahead of Real Madrid which is 3rd, being 4 points behind current table leaders FC Barcelona.
Atletico de Madrid dominated most of the match with the occasional Real Betis incursion which was solved by the At. Madrid defence & their goalie Oblak. The visitors could have scored more but missed their numerous opportunities & even hit the post in the final moments. Griezmann was particularly off target for Atletico de Madrid.
