FC BARCELONA defeated relatively easy GETAFE 4 - 0 & go to sleep tonight just 1 point behind current leaders Real Madrid which plays tomorrow in the "Madrid Derby" against Atletico. The Barça victory puts more pressure on Real Madrid which must win & thus adds more excitement to tomorrows clash.

The scores were ALEXIS twice ( 13rd & 72nd min), LIONEL MESSI in the 44th min & PEDRO in the 75th min. Barça clearly the superior team.

Vela for Real Sociedad

REAL SOCIEDAD finished their game against REAL BETIS with a 1 - 1 draw. It was an even match with a half going to each team & Real Sociedad nearly winning in the very last moment when Ansotegi hit the post. Earlier Real Sociedad Mexican player VELA scored in the 55th min & R.CASTRO equalized for Betis in the 69th min.

Osasuna - Espanyol

Big recovery by OSASUNA which experienced last round a 6 - 0 defeat at the hands of Rayo Vallecano, to win tonight 2 - 0 RCD ESPANYOL. The man of the night for Osasuna was RAUL GARCIA who scored both goals - 53rd & 69th min  - to place Osasuna (for now) in Euro table positions. Espanyol player Coutinho received a red card in the 53rd min & that affected his team for the latter part of the match.
