MALAGA managed a hard earned 1 - 0 victory over LEVANTE to stop their recent bad results. Levante was unlucky to have gone away with a loss as they had more occasions but the goal from ELISEU in the 63rd min gave the three points to the home team.

RACING DE SANTANDER missed a penalty in the first half & finished with a 0 - 0 draw against RCD ESPANYOL.
REAL MALLORCA & DEPORTIVO A CORUÑA also finished with a 0 - 0 draw after the 90 mins.

SEVILLA FC won away in the very last minute thanks to a goal from NEGREDO in the 90th min to take the result 1 - 2 over REAL ZARAGOZA. Sevilla FC got ahead first via LUIS FABIANO in the 28th min , to see Zaragoza fight back & equalize via BERTOLO in the 53rd min. From here until the end it was very rough & controversial with Sevilla FC down to 10 men but they got through in the end.

Similiar story at HERCULES FC that defeated REAL SOCIEDAD 2 - 1. Real Sociedad got ahead first with a GRIEZMANN goal in the 15th min. But Hercules came out strong in the second half with the equalizer from TREZEGUET in the 47th min & the second - & winner - by ROYSTON DRENTHE in the 51st min with a great free-kick.

SPORTING DE GIJON lost 0 - 1 to REAL MADRID after having the Spanish League leaders on the ropes "on occasions" during the game. The match was heated, violent at times & very aggressive as the home side was lead by a hostile home crowd, which pressured Real Madrid in their play all game.
Coach Mourinho had set the game on "fire" days before claiming Sporting Coach Preciado "threw" his match against FC Barcelona with 8º Bº-side players being lined-up. This infuriated Preciado who publicly blasted Mourinho as an ego-centric person who only provokes & is totally unprofessional. This set the atmosphere & the game up, & it was in fact as expected with rough incidents & very tough during the 90 mins.
Higuain hit the post in the 9th min, Sporting goalie Juan Pablo stopped three almost goals & Higuain scored in the 59th min that was disallowed for off-side that was not. Before then Sporting was kicking & fighting its way throughout which was frustrating Real Madrid & its playmakers.
Benzema came on mid 2ºhalf & sparked things up front , so much so that in the 83rd min he headed a Ramos pass towards goal that Sporting goalie Juan Pablo fumbled & HIGUAIN picked up the scraps to put in the winner. Then CASILLAS minutes later stopped a header from Sporting that avoided the draw as it was chaos for some moments thereafter.
The game ended as it started with a strong tackle on Cristiano Ronaldo from BOTIA who was sent off with a Red Card.
A earned & fierce victory in the end for Real Madrid take keeps them Spanish League Leaders another week.

VALENCIA CF won 2 - 0 GETAFE & put in more dire straits the Madrid Club. The goals came via TINO COSTA early in the 8th min & the second via DAVID NAVARRO in the 63rd min. Some dark clouds over Getafe & more coming during this week. Tweet
