REAL MADRID: PORTUGAL CALLS UP THE INJURED CRISTIANO RONALDO

The battle lines have been drawn. Portuguese National Selector &
Coach Carlos Queiroz has included the injured REAL MADRID player
CRISTIANO RONALDO in the list of 23 players for the upcoming 2010
World Cup elimination games against Bosnia. The Portuguese Coach
has not taken into account Real Madrid & the medical opinion of
Dr.Van Dijk (World NÂș1 ankle specialist) who recommends total rest
for 15 days & then a re-visit to his consultancy to determine the
evolution of the injury without discarding totally operating if the
injury does not progress satisfactorily.

There is a real danger that Ronaldo could be playing with the future
of his ankle & with his career if his ankle injury does not heel 100%,
thus playing with Portugal prematurely could be a fatal mistake.
Portugal does not seem to believe this or the extent of the injury,
thinking that it is a plot hyped-up by Real Madrid to stop their star
from playing with his country. The Portuguese medical team wish
to re-examine the player & see from themselves if the medical
reports are true & that Ronaldo cannot play. Real Madrid has
threatened to take the Portuguese Football Federation to the FIFA
tribunals if the latter insist in their objective to have Ronaldo play
at all cost even if they risk the future of Ronaldo.

The conflict is served, but SFS believes “common sense” will
finally prevail.
