SPANISH FOOTBALL - LA LIGA 2009/2010 - ROUND 10 SUNDAY GAMES RESULTS

Six games played tonight in "La Liga" as part of Round 10. Here is a
brief summary of the results & scorers.

REAL SPORTING DE GIJÓN continue surprising with a valient &
deserved 1-0 win over RCD ESPANYOL. Sporting scored early in

the 3rd min thanks to BILIC & that was enough as Gijon controlled
the game & cancelled out the efforts of the visiting team.

ALMERIA got back into the groove with a deserved victory over
OSASUNA 2-0. Almeria went ahead in the 2nd min with an own

goal by JOSETXO & the final goal by UCHE (above) in the 89th min.
Almeria are happy!

Anti-Football at VALLADOLID as they drew 0-0 against second last
placed XEREZ. Not much to add here folks, it was just one of those
days.













VALENCIA CF turned on the "magic" to win 3-1 against REAL
ZARAGOZA. MATA started things with his 17th min goal, which
was followed by VILLA in the 38th min & PABLO HERNANDEZ

in the 40th min. These last two mentioned players combined
fabulously & were an inspiration for the team.

Zaragoza managed to salvage some pride with a goal in the

65th min thanks to LAFITA.

RACING DE SANTANDER are in a mess as their Coach Mandía
is close to losing his job after the home fans turned their
anger at him for the teams poor play. The home team lost
0-2 to ATHLETIC DE BILBAO who really didn´t do anything
out of the normal for the victory. Their goals came thanks
to GURPEGUI in the 31st min & IRAOLA in the 75th min.

Possibly the best match of the day, SEVILLA FC defeated VILLAREAL
3-2 in an end to end game where Sevilla´s power forwards were
fundamental.

LUIS FABIANO scored two goals along with KANOUTE for Sevilla.
Villareal has veteran PIRES returning to his youth with another goal
with FUSTER scoring Villareal´s second.

Sevilla are looking really good this season!
