lost the victory in the last moments of the game. The Spanish team
dominated with goals from JOAQUIN in the 21st min & MADURO in
the 47th min. However, things complicated itself with two goals from
Slavia via JANDA in the 79th min & GRAJCIAR in the 82nd min. Final
result 2-2 draw
VILLAREAL got "revenge" over LAZIO with a convincing 4-1 win
with both sides down to 10 men due to red cards. PIRES put in a
"blinder" with two goals for Villareal (1st & 14th(p) min), followed
by goals from team-mates CANI in the 12nd min & ROSSI in the 83rd
min. The only goal for the Italians came via ZARATE in the 73rd
min.
A good & needed win for the Spaniards in a Group G "heated"
match.
ATHLETIC DE BILBAO should be happy to get away with a 1-1 draw
at NACIONAL DE MADEIRA in their Group L match. The Spaniards
had a difficult time & were against the ropes for much of the game,
especially when SILVA scored a penalty to put Nacional ahead. But
Athletic crawled back with an equalizer via a penalty from veteran
ETXEBBERIA in the 83rd min
