Real Madrid taking the top of the ladder after defeating Xerez, along
with Athletic de Bilbao, Valladolid & Almeria grabbing their 3 points.
REAL MADRID started their game against bottom side XEREZ like
this thanks to CRISTIANO RONALDO (See video):
47 seconds & it seemed it would be a "white-wash" ( never better
said) but it went to worse as Xerez went for it & made Real Madrid
look like a very ordinary side. Xerez brought out all the weakness that
Real are currently experiencing; from defensive problems, midfield
discoordination & lack of team cohesion that had the face of Coach
Pellegrini & Directives with serious looks.
It was´nt until the mid 2ºhalf with the coming on of Granero (Raul),
Guti (Kaká) & later Van Nistelrooy (Ronaldo) that things miraculously
changed when CRISTIANO RONALDO scored his second & Real Madrid´s
in the 75 min with a corner header.
Then the "flood gates" opened as GUTI reorganized the midfield & he
himself scored his teams 3ºgoal in the 78th min.
KARIM BENZEMA had done nothing until the 81st min when he
managed to get his 1ºst Liga goal & the fourth for his team. The
Frenchmen had been suffering from anxiety & it showed in his play.
The confidence placed on him be Coach Pellegrini to allow him to stay
on & get this "goal" weight off his shoulders was admirable. Then in
the 89th min a Guti pass allowed VAN NISTELROOY to score the
teams 5th & bring the house down with cheer as the fans welcomed

Real Madrid take the ladders top spot & Ronaldo is now the "Liga"
leading scorer after this 5-0 win, but this result fools as the image
presented by Real Madrid against the last placed team was horrible
until the 75th min.Real Madrid still needs to improve & a lot.
VALLADOLID fought back to grab a valuable win 1- 2 against REAL
ZARAGOZA who will be disappointed with this result at home.
MARCOS put Valladolid ahead in the 3rd min, but Zaragoza regained
their composure & equalized in the 25th min via JORGE LOPEZ.
However, Valladolid sealed it in the 56th min when SISI scored
the winner.
ALMERIA won 1-0 GETAFE simply because they took their limited
opportunities while Getafe dominated & failed to convert. The only
goal & winner came in the 48th min thats to MICHEL & from here
Getafe just couldn´t get back.
ATHLETIC DE BILBAO continue with its "magic run" with another
victory, this time 3-2 against VILLAREAL. LLORENTE was outstanding
once again with two goals in the 10th & 39th min with the other team
goal coming from JAVI MARTINEZ. Villareal did a good work in fighting
back with goals from CANI in the 49th min & a free-kick goal from
CARZOLA in the 85th min, but it was too late. Athletic is up there in the
ladder positions.
VALENCIA CF wasn´t able to defeat REAL SPORTING DE GIJÓN with
only 10 men & the match finished in a 2-2 draw. DAVID VILLA scored
twice for Valencia ( 23rd & 60th min) to see how BARRAL scored early
in the 6th min & GREGORY in the 86th min that was the reward for his
