FC BARCELONA did all the damage in the first half to eventually
defeat ATLETICO DE MADRID 4-2. The warning came early with just
30secs when Henry hit the post. Then a minute later IBRAHIMOVIC
scored Barça´s first. From here Atletico got the "wobbles" & were
"overrun" by Barça with another goal by MESSI in the 15th min.

Atletico then had 3 chances which they missed & paid. Just when
it looked Atletico may fight back ALVES scored a free-kick in the 29th
min that took the wind out of the Madrid team, see VIDEO of goal:
KEITA then scored Barça´s 4th in the 41st min, to see how AGUERO
would pull one back for Atletico from a Barça defensive mistake in the

From here, the 2ºhalf saw Atletico fight back & surprisingly
demonstrate some "weakness" in the Barcelona machine. Chygrynskiy
was nervious in his "Camp Nou" debut a made mistakes, Ibrahimovic
is not perhaps as effective as was Eto´o & may well be a brake in the
forward line in the long run ( the jury not out on this one), If the
opposing team moves its defense forward & forces Barça to play in its
own half they suffer; all of which Atletico put into practice &
controlled most of the 2ºhalf game. So much so that DIEGO FORLAN
scored Atletico´s 2º goal in the 84th min after another mistake this
time from Busquets.
However, the difference tonight was MESSI who is a level above all
the rest & scored his second & Barcelona´s fifth in the 89th min after
a great combination with Alves & Iniesta.
Summary: worrying times ahead for Atletico who will need to rise
from this pyschological blow ( Aguero also off injuried), & a good
win for Barcelona BUT with initial "worrying" signs of certain
weakness ( or soft spots) which could turnout nasty in the long term
if not fixed. Perhaps it is just SFS thinking & analysis of the game.

SEVILLA FC played an effective match tonight to take the wind out
of OSASUNA with a 2-0 victory. Sevilla is demonstrating that they
will be up there fighting for the title as they have a wonderfully
balanced team. ALVARO NEGREDO perfectly substituted Luis Fabiano
scoring his first goal in the 36th min, then KANOUTE scored his teams
2ºgoal in the 69th min. Good comfortable win!

Great to see ESPANYOL get its first victory with a 2-3 win over
DEPORTIVO in an entertaining & well fought out game. CALLEJON
scored first in the 19th min for Espanyol & later proved to be the
MVP, with an assitance to FORLIN for Espanyol´s second in the 42th
min & VERDU getting the winner in the 54th.
Deportivo were in there with goals from ADRIAN in the 27th min &
LASSAD in the 76th min, but Espanyol wanted the victory more
tonight it seemed.

MALLORCA is having a dream start with another victory, this time
4-0 over TENERIFE. Goals came from SUAREZ (16th min), ADURIZ
(51st min), ALVAREZ (59th) & WEBO via a penalty (88th min).

MALAGA lost in an exciting match with RACING grabbing the victory
in the 80th min via MORRIS. The match finished 1-2 & was fought out
the whole game with Malaga equalizing via DUDA in the 71st min after
Racing managed to score first with ARANA in the 30th min. Tweet
