published that with the transfer of Portsmouth & English International
defender GLEN JOHNSON for 20M€ to LIVERPOOL FC, the action
creates the necessity of the latter to sell. This has increased
speculation within the Football World that the interest of REAL
MADRID for Liverpool FC & Spanish International XABI ALONSO may
transform itself into an offer & eventual transfer to the Spanish Club.
Chelsea FC is also said to be interested in Xabi Alonso, but Liverpool
FC doesn’t wish to sell & strengthen its local rival & prefers that their
midfielder go to overseas.

However, the English paper publishes the possibility of a “pack” Xabi
Alonso & Liverpool Spanish International defender ALVARO ARBELOA,
player to which Real Madrid have also shown interest & asked for the
possibility of a transfer. The arrival of Glen Johnson opens the door to
Arbeloa to leave & the said deal-pack is rumoured to be priced around
45M€, cash that Liverpool FC could latter re-invest in more signings.
