According to Italian paper “La Gazzette dello Sport” that is precisely
what Inter is offering Real Madrid; their Brazilian defender Maicon for
Wesley Sneijder & between 18 + 20M€ (click).That´s simple on paper,
but what if Real Madrid wishes to use the Sneijder option with another
player (e.g. Ribery for example)? What if Sneijder refuses to leave
Real Madrid? What if Maicon is not really the defender that Real
Madrid wishes finally as there are reports from Italy that he was one of
Adriano´s nightlife partners in "crime"?
SFS says this because from England - "The Independent" - reports
come in that Real Madrid are interested in ARSENAL defender
GAEL CLICHY. Apparently new Coach Pellegrini has asked for the
23 year old Frenchman.This player will be difficult to pull away
from London as he is a vital piece of the Arsenal set up.

Good finds. I don't think Maicon is really what Real need at this point. They need a rock-solid defender more than someone who's adventurous, since they have such impressive mids now.
