MANCHESTER CITY MAKE 32.5M OFFER FOR DIEGO FORLAN

Manchester City just doesn’t give up. After failed attempts to lure over
Kaka & David Villa with bags full of dollars, the Arab Sheik owner of
MANCHESTER CITY has publicly acknowledged that they have made
a 32.5M€ offer for ATLETICO DE MADRID Uruguayan forward
DIEGO FORLAN. The news comes from English paper “The Daily Mirror”
& goes on further to say that the player has given positive signs of intial
interests that the negotiations keep on advancing. However the English team
has a serious competitor from Italy, it is said that AC ROMA is also
interested in contracting the services of Forlan.

In the previous cases of Kaka & Villa, SFS was adamant that neither would
take up the offer from Manchester City, because Man.City cannot guarantee
European titles for these type of World class players. However, SFS is not so
sure in the Forlan case as he maybe tempted to grab the cash & run. Firstly,
the player is 30 years of age & will be thinking in maximizing the income flows
in the short time that is left in his sporting career. Secondly, he has English
Football & City of Manchester experience & will adapt quickly to the lifestyle.
Lastly, Atletico de
Madrid is not giving him the title guarantees that he
originally hoped for & this maybe the moment to think for himself, which is
perfectly understandable. The only hitch SFS sees for Manchester is the Roma
bid. If Roma does match the Man City offer, the player accepts to leave &
Atletico sell, the Uruguayan may wish the lifestyle of Rome over Manchester
which is in line with his Latin culture.

Do you think Forlan will leave Atletico & take up the offers?

Stay tuned!
