Fc Barcelona allowing League leader Real Madrid to further open up
the gap by another 3º points. The pressure & the missing "Messi effect"
could be determining factors at Camp Barça at this vital stage.
The above picture tells the story, FC BARCELONA lost 1-2 to a
serious VILLAREAL side as they consolidate their Champions
League position on the ladder. The loss gives Real Madrid 3º more
points as it again opens up a healthy gap now to 8ºpoints overall.
FC Barcelona started strong but the wind was taken out of their
sails when Villareal Captain SENNA ( above) scored in the 30th
min. From there it was an "arm wrestle" & Barça managed to
equalized via XAVI, once again, in the 67th min.
However, the curtain fell for Barça when in the 81st min
TOMASSEN gave his team the winning goal.
The man above, MALLORCA player ARANGO, was the star in
his teams 7-1 victory over RECREATIVO. Arango scored a
HAT TRICK with goals in the 17th, 47th & 51st min, with
teammates GUIZA ( 21st & 31st min) & VELERO ( 36th &
40th min) joining in with their 2º goals each.
For Murcia , MARCO RUBEN scored their only goal in the
39th min. Big win!
RACING won 3-0 REAL BETIS with all goals coming in the 2º half
GETAFE are on a winning run after their Uefa Cup participation
with a 0-3 victory over MURCIA. PABLO HERNANDEZ scored
again in the 56th min & towards the end Getafe scored two more
goals via ALBIN & CASQUERO to put in a good hard day of work

SEVILLA FC continue towards the European positions with another
Liga win over LEVANTE with a 2-1 scoreline. Levante surprised
Sevilla with only 3º min of play with a goal by RIGA, that was later
cancelled by KEITA ( above) in the 27th min. Then LUIS FABIANO´s
OSASUNA breathe easier after winning 2-1 ALMERIA thanks to
goals from SOLA & CRUCHAGA. Almeria managed to score their
only goal via CORONA.

VALENCIA CF just cant find the spark of victory that they need to
definately get out of their slump. The game was all decided in the
1ºst half with the scoreline by the 45th min 2-2 with DEPORTIVO,
which it stayed until the end.
Valencia got off to a great start with goals from MATA in the 16th min
& DAVID VILLA (above) in the 23rd min. However, all the effort
fell apart with goals by SERGIO in the 36th min & LAFITA in the 44th
1ºst half with the scoreline by the 45th min 2-2 with DEPORTIVO,
which it stayed until the end.

Barca look like they're blowing it again then? I didn't see the game but they're obviously missing Messi at the moment. I've always liked the look of Senna at Villareal too and apparently he'll be coming over the to the Premier League in the summer? not sure where but thems the rumours.
