His words & media comments have a lot of impact within Camp Barça,
so much so that many consider him the power behind the scene. SFS
posted a recent article comparing Cruyff with Darth Vader & the
Emperor being President Laporta, simply illustrative & beyond any
good or evil interpretations. After leaving Ajax of Amsterdam as
consultant only after a month (differences in opinion) it seems the
Dutch & Barcelona living Football & Coach legend now has spare time
again for in-depth analysis.
According to Cruyff & his comments to media , FC Barcelona has
handed Real Madrid the 8 points & has taken on its own shoulders
the pressure that should have been with the arch rival. He goes
further & says that Real Madrid was dead until Barça brought
them back to life.
But the leyend continues adding, that the players need to prove that
they can go ahead without Messi, that it´s their opportunity to prove
that the team does not depend on one player & that the current player
are lacking self pride!
Stinging advise. Makes you wonder if these views should be expressed
at this particular moment when the team needs encouragement &
"security". However, SFS view is that this maybe all put of a very smart
& strategic plan, as Laporta´s behind the scenes man & influencial
figure, the club could be rolling out the exit carpet for some players or
even the current coach Rijkaard. If Barça loss, Cruyff warned us &
we should have acted earlier, if Barça wins, Cruyff´s strong words
motivated everyone & he is a genuis; he & President Laporta.

If he truly wanted to give his opinion, why not address only the team and management in private as opposed to going public with the media? Ofcourse, the trend is for such important personalities to give their comments to the media only. In most cases, is it the media that seeks these people out or do these people enlist the media of their own accord?
I think everyone can see Barca's problems. So such comments just seem to state the obvious and I don't think they are positive but undermine the current management and team even further.
It has been almost 2 years that Rijkaard has been under pressure. And it seems with each passing week, the pressure on him just keeps increasing. Although, I can't imagine the pressure being any less in Madrid?
Striker, do you think that both teams would change their managers in the summer? There are only a few high profile managers around so I am not sure who would take over at both teams but given both team's weak performances on many occassions these season, I think there might be some big changes ahead.

Indeed, if Real lose La Liga , they will get rid of Schuster.
Barça is different, they are still in 3 competitions ( SP Cup, Champions & Liga), if they win one of them Rijkaard has more arguements to stay. If he loses all 3 , he is out as well.
Meanwhile, Mourinho is sitting patiently & waiting.
