MOTO GP QATAR 2008: GREAT START FOR SPANISH RIDERS

The Moto GP season kicked off tonight from QATAR with the first
ever races under lights & during the nightime. Spaniards are World
famous for their active nightlife & it seems that has rubbed off with
the excellent results in all catagories.

In the 125cc Spain scored a double placed victory with FAUDEL
1ºst & OLIVE 2ºnd on the podium, alongside 3ºrd placed German
Bradl, as pictured above.

In the 250cc PASINI (above) grabbed & won a very tight race
ahead of Spaniard HECTOR BARBERA who was 2ºnd & ahead of
3ºrd placed MIKA KALIO. The race was so competitive until the last
moment that two other Spanish riders crossed the finish line 4ºth &
5ºth, in this case ALEX DEBON & ALVARO BAUTISTA
respectively.

The GP catagory was an extraordinary race, with two Spaniards
coming in behind the eventual winner, current World Champ Casey
Stoner, with JORGE LORENZO (above) 2ºnd &
DANI PEDROSA
in 3ºrd. But the surprise was the two time 250cc World Champ
Jorge Lorenzo would was outstanding as this was his first time in the
GP catagory & to finish second without the "needed" adaptation is
full of merit.

Great start to the season for Spanish riders; with optimism radiating

tonight. However , its a LONG season
