AJAX, ARSENAL, LAZIO & AT.MADRID represented.
The 1º game saw Arsenal defeat Italian side Lazio 2-1 to take it
straight into the weekend final.
The other game saw AJAX defeat AT. MADRID 2-0 & take them
to meet Arsenal in the final.
Ajax were fresher & well tuned ahead of a still "get in shape" Atletico.
The fitness factor played it´s part as new players are still lifting gears
& getting to know each other.
Ajax´s Spanish & ex-Barcelona player GABRI scored the 1º goal in the
46min & that was followed by another through star SNEIJDER in the
59th min, one a header & the other an outside shot.
In the 2º half, Atletico signnings Luis Garcia & Simao got a run, with the
latter showing good signs.

Atletico plays Lazio on Saturday for the 3º place. No need to worry however
at this stage about Atletico: its early days, they still need fitness & speed, still
working to build a better team, missing was Forlan, Aguero, Reyes, etc &
Atletico will get better with time.
