GIMNASTIC of Tarragona & RECREATIVO of Huelva are
officially new teams of the Spanish 1º Division.
Below is Nastic (Gimnastic) celebrating their 0-0 draw at
Xerez,as they only needed a point to guarentee them the 1º
Division spot; the other match saw Recreativo win
Numancia 0-3 & thus secure the promotion.
The other promotion position will be fought out next week
between LEVANTE, MURCIA & LORCA.
In MotoGP ,the only Spaniard to finish 1º was JORGE
LORENZO in the 250cc section - pictured below.

BARCELONA is the SPANISH HANDBALL 1º Divison
(ASOBAL) Champions after defeating Almeria 27 - Bcn 34
& thus giving them the sufficient points over the 2º placed
CUIDAD REAL. It is the 17th Spanish league handball title
for Barcelona.
