the SPANISH WORLD CUP SQUAD. The goals were scored by
RAUL (1ºhalf) & REYES ( 2ºhalf) in which Spain gave a better
image than its 1º friendly last Saturday against Russia.
The novelty in the inicial line up was the inclusion of the
Captain Raul, in place of Luis Garcia.
The starting line up was
CASILLAS
RAMOS, PUYOL, PABLO, A.LOPEZ
SENNA, ALBELDA, CESC
RAUL
F.TORRES, D.VILLA.
This lineup is more conservative & defensive, but Raul is
beginning to get into form & is regaining his sharpness
again, scoring the 1º goal in a rebound off the goal keeper
from a Antonio Lopez outside shot. There was the "fox"
Raul in the right place to score.
The second half saw a much more creative & offensive side
go out with REYES, X.ALONSO & XAVI.
As the match went on coach ARAGONES let in LUIS GARCIA,
INIESTA & JUANITO. The finished team looked like this:

The only goal in the 2º half was an authentic blinder from a 25-
30 mts. free-kick from Reyes right into the top left corner of
the goal. Spectacular!
Special mentions to FERNANDO TORRES, unlucky not to score,
but ran all night, created spaces, dribbled & a constant threat.
It was encouraging to see "THE KID" so sharp tonight.
Great match from PUYOL; safe & powerful, showing real control
& confidence in defence.
Lastly, as mentioned, great to see Raul getting better all
the time & the rest of the team tuning into themselves as
a team.
Long way to go,can get better, especially in the concentration
area ( Eygpt had its chances) & upfront. Spain has another
warm-up match against CROATIA & we hope to see more
improvements. GOOD VIBRATIONS!
