Amazing how everyday there´s stories to be told concerning
SPANISH FOOTBALL. Here is a round up of the more significant
news that have appeared in the Spanish Sports media.
Firstly, newly signed ATLETICO DE MADRID player MARIANO
PERNIA is already training with the SPANISH WORLD CUP
SQUAD.
Tonight SPAIN plays EYGPT in the 2º friendly match & all the
results & news will be up as it finishes.
The next piece of news is that CELTA OF VIGO has signed
for 3 seasons the 26 year old VILLAREAL player GUAYRE.
Celta will be in UEFA competition next season & wishes to
do well, thus its investing in expanding its team with quality
players
AC MILAN are furious with REAL MADRID Presidency candidate
Ramon Calderon for approaching its star Brazilian Midfielder
KAKA. They are seriously thinking about taking the whole matter
to FIFA so as to penalise the Spanish action.
Meanwhile, Kaka is letting himself "be loved". His commented
that he is delighted with Real Madrid approach as he feels
honoured. As I have always said , if a player really wants to
leave a club there is little Milan or FIFA can do, it will up to
Kaka.
BARCELONA FC is spreading its options on the table with a
Plan A, Plan B, Plan C & so on. Smart really, they are Europe´s
Nº1 team & that gives them plenty of negotiating power.
The have tempted FORLAN, OLIVIERA & are now looking at
Chelsea player GUDJOHNSEN. The English Club has understood
the situation & have set the market price 15,000,000 €: a bit
steep for Barça.
But BARÇA have PLAN D if all the rest does´nt come through,
HERNAN CRESPO, another Chelsea player who comes into
the equation.
Lastly, the SPANISH FOOTBALL 2º DIVISION LEADER looks
like this at this moment:
Gimnástic Tarragona 74pts
Recreativo de Huelva 72pts
Levante 69pts
Lorca 67pts
If GIMNASTIC can take 1 point away from
Xerex this weekend, they will go into
next seasons 1º DIVISION.
The city of TARRAGONA is prepared to live
a long night of celebrations if they can manage
the challenge.
The other team that can be in 1º Divison next season is
RECREATIVO who needs to win away to NUMANCIA.
