SPANISH COACH RAFA BENITEZ LEAVES LIVERPOOL FC | PELLEGRINI, MASCHERANO, FERNANDO TORRES, STEVEN GERRARD ... NOW WHAT?

Source: Sp Ftball Sprts Blog / With Spanish Coach RAFA BENITEZ coming to an “agreement” with his LIVERPOOL FC Chiefs & thus leaving the Club after 6 years of loyal service a whole bag of questions have sprang up in the air that from here (Spain) have some speculative answers that may interest English & World readers alike if they have´nt already been raised in England:

1. Rafa Benitez looks set to take over the helm at INTER MILAN
2. Mascherano maybe the player that the Spanish Coach may take with him to Inter Milan
3. Ex - Real Madrid Coach Manuel Pellegrini is said to interest Liverpool FC
4. Steven Gerrard may now have the door open to leave the Club & go to Real Madrid. The price has been set according to media to be 30M€
5. Steven Gerrard may stay at Liverpool FC as Rafael Benitez is no longer at Liverpool FC.

6. Fernando Torres could be sold to Chelsea FC for a cool 70M€. This last point has gained strenght in the last hours.

As you can see, some huge questions are out there that will certainly give media plenty to talk about in the coming weeks in England & in Spain. The latter is due to the Spanish connection of Benitez, Torres , Pellegrini & Gerrard with Real Madrid.

SPANISH NATIONAL FOOTBALL TEAM WORLD CUP 2010 | SOUTH KOREA 0 - SPAIN 1 | FRIENDLY GAME

Second friendly pre- WORLD CUP match for the SPANISH NATIONAL TEAM against a serious & World Cup participant SOUTH KOREA. Spain won 0-1 thanks to a fabulous power driver from JESUS NAVAS in the 86th min. Watch the VIDEO below of the winning goal:



A game with debuts, as with Barça goalkeeper Victor Valdes who came on in the 2ºhalf to take the place of Reina, Javi Martinez who started in the opening line-up & Fabregas back from his long 2 month injury. Match with positive & negative aspects as Coach Del Bosque fine tunes the squad with another friendly game against Poland next Tuesday to put the pieces together.

South Korea had their chances & were unlucky not to have scored but this game also served them as a benchmark & they too would have picked up some things to work on before flying off to South Africa. Tweet

REAL MADRID | DI MARIA CLOSE ACCORDING TO PORTUGUESE MEDIA

The saying goes the following way in giving credibility to a sure winning bet… “It Comes Straight From The Horses Mouth”. In this case the “horse” ( metaphorically speaking ) is the country Portugal where its Champion Team BENFICA is located in its capital city Lisbon & where Argentine International & already mentioned Club player ANGEL DI MARIA is ongoing hot news.

Speculation has been ripe for weeks concerning the interest that REAL MADRID has towards the young Benfica winger. Today the Portuguese paper “Record” publishes that there is a principal agreement between Benfica & Real Madrid for the transfer of Di Maria for next season. The contract release clause is of 40M€ but the Spanish Club considers this to be too high & has added the possibility of including some players in the operation (a list from Drenthe, M Diarra, Garay & Gago). The paper goes further to add that Real Madrid wishes to shut the deal 100% before the start of the World Cup. The interest of Italian Club Juventus in these last days has also accelerated the negotiations between the Spanish Club & Benfica which explains the “sudden rush”.

Lastly, if all this is really true & Di Maria does finally sign for Real Madrid, one may conclude that the David Silva (Valencia CF) & Jesus Navas ( Sevilla FC) options will be shut. That would be the logical assumption...in an illogical Football World...or vice versa Tweet

Spanish Sports daily “AS” informs that ATLETICO DE MADRID has its Sports Director in Brazil in an attempt to push along the possible signing of Brazilian sensation & 18 year old SANTOS star NEYMAR (photo). However there is a list of other players that also interest the Spanish Club like forward DENTINHO (Corinthians), attacking midfielder DIEGO SOUZA (Palmeiras) or Central Defender WELLINGTON (Sao Paolo).

Atletico de Madrid desires to find a pearl in the South American market at a reasonable price so that the player can latter “explode” in European Football & thus double-triple his market price. The clear example is Sergio Aguero who was signed from Argentine Club Independiente at a “bargain price” to later evolve into a World Star & now has a 50M€ price tag. Tweet
