SPANISH NATIONAL U-21 FOOTBALL TEAM Coach Luis Milla has handed in today his list of 22 players that will represent SPAIN in the upcoming London Olympic Games. The current U-21 squad is the reigning European Champions & is full of top World class players who are regular members of European elite Clubs.
Three in the list have recently been crowed "European Champions" after participating in the EURO 2012 competition: JUAN MATA , JAVI MARTINEZ & JORDI ALBA whom come in to add their talent & experience to the Olympic squad.
On paper the Spanish Olympic Team looks strong.

The SPANISH NATIONAL FOOTBALL TEAM Selector Vicente del Bosque has a dilemma, a glorious problem that most National squads would enjoy having , an excess of top class forwards. Del Bosque only wishes to take 3 forwards that will be finally named in the upcoming final definite EURO 2012 list.
Apart, the announcement by DAVID VILLA that he has failed to get to his playing peak physically after breaking his tibia bone, opens the door to a lucky player, but also puts a strain on Del Bosque & Spain which loses a vital element of the squad.
In a nutshell, SPAIN has an excess of forwards & candidates eligible be part of the SPANISH FOOTBALL Team for the upcoming EURO NATIONS CHAMPIONSHIPS:
Fernando Llorente ( Athletic Bilbao ) - not in the below photo, but looks a certain for one of the spots
Pedro (FC Barcelona ) - World Champ in South Africa but will need a "blinder" performance in this Fridays Spanish Cup Final. Slim.
Fernando Torres (Chelsea FC) - surprisingly called up after winning his Champions League medal.
Roberto Soldado ( Valencia FC ) - started strong in the Liga but went to less as the season came to its end. Scored 4 goals for Spain in his debut & last friendly International match.
Alvaro Negredo ( Sevilla FC ) - in form but an unknown element.
Adrian ( At.Madrid) - top season with Atletico, full Spanish International in lower ranks, is well placed.
Muniain ( At.Bilbao) - young promise who has been called up for the U/21 Squad which may indicate not this time.

In any case, May the 27th is "D-Day" when Del Bosque gives his definite & final list. Some players will be disappointed, thats what occurs when a Football Nation like Spain is lucky & blessed to have so much current talent.
The SPANISH NATIONAL FOOTBALL Selector & Coach, Vicente del Bosque, handed in at midday the list of SPANISH FOOTBALL players to make up the squad that will play the International Friendly game against VENEZUELA the 29th of February at Malaga (Spain).
This list would not be so important, if it would not be the second last call up before the final expected list that will make up the squad the will go to the EURO 2012. Not being in this list is not a good sign, as Chelsea FC forward FERNANDO TORRES will be feeling as he has been dropped due to his poor form & long dry spell of no-goals, apart from Real Madrid defender ALBIOL not getting playing time at his Club.

Although a difficult decision for Del Bosque to leave out Torres, he has had to pick those who are in form & are playing at their best level. Two of the new names are forward ROBERTO SOLDADO ( Valencia CF) & young midfielder IKER MUNIAIN ( At . Bilbao), both deservedly call-up although the latter a "bit of a surprise". Now it is up to all the selected names to consolidate this opportunity & cement themselves for the Euro 2012 list that will be given in the next months.

Source: SFS / As the Spanish League – Liga – season soon will come to an end, the South Africa 2010 FIFA WorldCup takes things over with Spanish Football Sports commencing its own Word Cup build up.
The news is that Liverpool FC forward FERNANDO TORRES is up & running as he attempts to get over his knee operation & in being 100% fit for the Spanish National Football Team. As we can see in the picture Torres is currently training 6 hours a day with a mix of exercises in order to strengthen his knee. He is at the Celta of Vigo Club installations under the supervision of Club doctor Juan José García Cota who is also the doctor of the Spanish National Team.
Fernando Torres was examined in the weekend by Spanish Team doctors & things looked well. No one is guaranteeing that he will make it 100% for Spain´s first game on the 16th of June, but everyone is optimistic & Fernando Torres is working hard to make it on time.Tweet

FIFA has released its World Rankings for April 2010 & Brazil has taken over the Nº1 position from Spain who is now Nº2. The Spanish have played “low counting” opponents of late & through the “complex” coefficient system used by FIFA losses points for the month.
