SPANISH FOOTBALL TRANSFER - RUMOURS

One is fact, the other is rumour. 

Firstly, FC Barcelona has made official that they are transferring their Spanish International defender Marc Bartra to German Club Borussia Dortmund for 8M€. Bartra takes the place of Mats Hummels who goes over to Bayern Munich.

The defender was having difficulties finding a regular place in the Barça team this last season, & the Club has allowed the player the opportunity to play elsewhere.

Secondly, this is a rumour doing the rounds & coming out of England. Zlatan Ibrahimovic is currently a free-agent & is looking for Club. Many point that Mourinho now with Manchester United has asked the ex-PSG player to come over.

However, some Football observers now point that Spanish Club Atletico Madrid could be the new destination for the 34 year old forward. The only negotiating point here is his salary as he would come free of transfer fee. But the salary could be a sticking point as it may be too high for the Club. Said this these same sources state that the Swede looks favourably at returning to Spanish Football & Atletico is to his liking.

FC BARCELONA : IBRAHIMOVIC PIQUE PHOTO

This is the private (& "stolen") photo that is on fire on the Web & in Sports media. FC Barcelona players Ibrahimovic & Gerard Pique caught on camara outside Camp Nou. I would ask that NO ONE jump to conclusions, it can be taken easily out of context, although "bad tongues" are hot at the moment.

Lets wait before jumping to any conclusions. This could be just plain old fashion team-mates stuff.

As thought, things are being taken out of all context. Ibrahimovic is very upset at the rumours spurred by these pictures & has reacted to a Spanish "pink-press" TV reporter saying "Vente con tu hermana a mi casa y miras si soy maricón" (translated ..."Come to my place with your sister & you will see if I´m a gay") . It is curious to note that all this comes out just before FC Barcelona plays their most important & biggest game against Sevilla FC tomorrow were the Spanish League title could be finally decided between Barça & Real Madrid. A loss tomorrow at Sevilla with Real Madrid victory could give Madrid the Liga. Tweet

FC BARCELONA & INTER MILAN "INVESTIGATING" IBRAHIMOVIC POSSIBLITY

News from “Sport” & most local media report of a meeting between
FC BARCELONA President Laporta & INTER MILAN President Morrati
yesterday ( see the above photo) that has added wood to the rumours
that they were discussing ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC. The Italian Club via
its Coach Mourinho has given the OK to transfer Ibrahimovic if Barça
forward SAMUEL ETO´O is his substitute, plus a transfer price of
around 40M€. Now before ringing the bells, Samuel Eto´o will have
something to say about it all...as yet no one knows what his position
is!

Both Presidents denied that they were there for business & said it
was a dinner between friends. We all know it was a dinner of an
initial contact to discuss possibilities of the transfers of Ibrahimovic &
also Maxwell. The "dinners between friends" will continue no doubt
with perhaps the next one being held at Milan.

FC BARECLONA: IBRAHIMOVIC 30M€ & ETO´O?

The Italian press places ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC at FC BARCELONA
next season (click here). The deal would go down for 30M€ & the
loan for a year of Barça forward SAMUEL ETO´O. The latter ends
contract next year & Barça hasn’t approached the player to renew
his contract as yet. In fact, news filtered to local media says that
Coach Guardiola has manifested to Barcelona Directives that he
doesn’t wish to have Samuel Eto´o in his team for next year.

Many are surprised at the news that Eto´o is not wished for next
season. The player was an example of professionalism this season
after the Guardiola expressed the same desire last year, & proved
is value with 30 goals & driving the team in its European
Champions Final victory. As perplexed as you maybe, another
possible destination for Eto´o is MANCHESTER CITY, Club sounding
strongly in the English press, as Barça would wish to gain the best
return for its player, & Man City maybe willing to pay > than 30M€!

Back to Ibrahimovic, he is the player Guardiola sees as the perfect
substitute for Eto´o, but will have to compete with REAL MADRID
who also sees the INTER MILAN forward as a potential player that
enters perfectly into their future plans.

REAL MADRID: IBRAHIMOVIC FOR 50€ PLUS HIGUAÍN?

The rumours about INTER MILAN Swedish forward ZLATAN
IBRAHIMOVIC leaving Italian Football are gaining strength on a daily
basis & especially the connection with REAL MADRID being his next
Club. According to the story published in the Italian paper “Corriere
dello Sport”, which has been picked up here locally by “Marca”,
Inter President Moratti has initially set the price of transfer at 50M€
plus GONZALO HIGUAÍN if Real Madrid wishes Ibrahimovic.

However,this is an initial reaction from the Inter boss, as the price
is too high & Gonzalo Higuaín is a young player with a huge potential
that is much loved at Real. But, there are other players which may
suit if they need to be included in any negotiation; they are Robben
& Huntelaar, just to mention two names.

Would you sell Higuían? SFS wouldn’t. Stay tuned for future

REAL MADRID: DRENTHE SLIPS IBRAHIMOVIC SIGNING?

The shadow of INTER MILAN Swedish International & forward
ZLATAN IBARAHIMOVIC hangs ever more over REAL MADRID if
we are to believe & place weight on the words of Real Madrid
player DRENTHE. According to the Italian press, the young
Madrid player made a comment to his friend & Malmo player
Labinot Harbuzi… “…everyone at Real Madrid knows that next
season Ibrahimovic will be here "

The main obstacle is the high salary demands of Ibrahimovic that
is "slowing" the negotiations & the high transfer fee that Real
considers excessive. However, the player wishes to leave Inter Milan
& try new experiences & Real Madrid is said to be a firm candidate
for the Swede to land in for next season.

REAL MADRID TURN TOWARDS IBRAHIMOVIC & RIBERY - UNDER FLORENTINO PEREZ?

From Italy the news from “TuttoSport”, which has been gladly picked
up here by the “speculative” sporting daily “AS”, says that ex- REAL
MADRID President Florentino Perez "has made" an offer for INTER
MILAN forward ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC. That isn’t the real news as we
have heard this before, the novelty is the offer of a 15M€ /year salary
(3M€ more than what he gets at Inter) to tempt the 27 year old Swede
over to Madrid as he has a contract with his Club until 2013. A few days
ago the player expressed publicly that he would love to try something
new & the Spanish League would be ideal.

However, there is more news. The MACHESTER UNITED – KAKA
connection is real & gaining strength, so much so, that ex-President
Florentino Perez sees his wish of signing the AC MILAN star dim as
the days go by. This has forced a shift in strategy & the new “star”
& signing objective is BAYERN MUNICH French star FRANCK RIBERY.

yet announced he will run as candiadte in the upcoming July Real
Madrid Presidential elections.

IBRAHIMOVIC LOOKS TO SPAIN ( & FC BARCELONA) FOR NEXT SEASON

From Italy & its daily“Gazzetta Dello Sport” the news is that INTER
MILAN star Swedish forward ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC wishes
to change Clubs. According to the daily the player praises the Football
being played by FC BARCELONA (hint!) & has expressed his desire to
end up playing “…in one of the big Spanish teams". Plus when asked by
media if we will see him in an Inter shirt in next seasons Champions his
answer was “…we will see” which has raised all sorts of speculation &
interpretations.

The players’ preference is Barça & could suit if Eto´o does decide to leave
next season, or Real Madrid if Carlo Ancelotti ends up Coach next year or
Florentino Perez wins the Presidency & decides to strengthen the forward
line. Ibraimovic wishes European titles & Inter has fallen short in the last
couple of years, especially in Champions. Stay tuned!

REAL MADRID HIGHLIGHTED IN THE MOURINHO - IBRAHIMOVIC "DISPUTE"

Mino Railo, representative of Inter Milan Swedish International forward
Zlatan Ibrahimovic, has apparently let his month loose on the Italian daily
paper “Il Giorno”.The representative who talks on behave of his player
Ibrahimovic is upset on how Inter Milan Coach Mourinho has marginalized
his player with more bench time. He suggested that if things continue his
player will find a new Club & doesn’t rule out big Spanish Clubs like
Real Madrid or FC Barcelona.

The interesting other news from the interview is that Mr. Railo comments
about Inter Coach Mourinho & his wishes to leave & coach his true desire,
Real Madrid. The representative says that Real Madrid is the true wish of
Mourinho & that the Portuguese is waiting for the right moment to make his
move.

Interesting words that seem to have a political message behind them for
Inter Milan directives, however it is not certified that what he says about
Mourinho is at all true. We suspect that Mourinho would enjoy coaching
Real Madrid, who wouldn’t, but cannot say this as categorically as
Mr.Railo.
