SPANISH TRANSFER NEWS | GUARDADO SIGNS FOR VALENCIA CF

The Mexican International helped return DEPORTIVO A CORUÑA back into the Spanish Football 1º st Division, that is something admirable,  as talented ANDRES GUARDADO decided to stick out the season in a lower catagory. The player has been prized with the signing for next season to a new Club, none other than VALENCIA CF.

The Mexican will play Champions League next season & signs for four seasons. Now thats what I call a Football promotion. From 2º Division to Champions League.

Nice to see this talent back in La Liga.

SPANISH FOOTBALL | DEPORTIVO A CORUÑA RETURNS TO LA LIGA

Three Spanish 2º Division Football Clubs will win a place in LA LIGA ( Spanish 1º Division ) for next season . The first two placed on the classification table go in automatically while 3rd to 6th placed Clubs participate in a "play-off" for the last remaining place.

Deportivo celebrate

This afternoon the goals from RIKI ( 40th min ) & XISCO ( 70th min) gave DEPORTIVO A CORUÑA a 2 - 1 victory over HUESCA & 88 points that makes them mathematically 2 º Division Champs & promotes them into the Spanish League with a match still left to play. Deportivo A Coruña return a year later after being relegated last season with tears while tonight there are tears of joy.

The remaining automatic promotion place is being fought out between CELTA DE VIGO ( which won tonight 1 - 2 Tarragona ) & VALLADOLID ( which drew 2 -2 with Alcorcon). The draw by Valladolid stopped Celta mathematically claiming the promotion & thus needs to win or draw next week to join Deportivo. On the otherhand if Valladolid wins & Celta loses the former will be promoted.

Until then there is still plenty of emotion left in the 2 º Division & the City of A Coruña is tonight a massive party of street celebrations.

VALENCIA CF TIES UP MEXICAN - DEPORTIVO MIDFIELDER ANDRES GUARDADO?

What is a talented World Class Mexican International Football player doing in the Spanish 2º Division? Obviously his contract has something to do with it & admirably his feeling of loyalty to DEPORTIVO A CORUÑA the other. The latter is not a good long-term career building sentiment to hold onto too long, while the former ends next season, thus making ANDRES GUARDADO a free-agent as of the 1ºst of January 2012.

This is were VALENCIA CF comes in. Apparently the Spanish Football Club has "tied" up the services of the Mexican midfielder for next season. It is clear that neither Club or player can say much before the 1ºst of January 2012, but keeping secrets in Football has never really been too effective. The only negative aspect is that Deportivo will receive zero money because there is no transfer.

Stay tuned, as news will get firmer as the season moves on. But the move is positive for Guardado who has only 25 years of age & lots of Football talent.

ATLETICO DE MADRID PRESENTS ADRIAN | HAPPY ENDING TO A LONG STORY

A SPANISH FOOTBALL story with a good ending. Young Spanish U-21 International , European U-21 Champion, European U-21 Golden Boot & ex newly relegated to 2º Division Deportivo A Coruña forward ADRIAN LOPEZ has finally made his desires a reality by signing with ATLETICO DE MADRID.

Spanish Football Player Adrian Lopez

The player finished contract this year & after Deportivo gave no signs of wishing to renew his contract Adrian Lopez signed with Atletico de Madrid. Then without notice & with a unilateral decision Deportivo communicated to Atletico that they had renewed the players contract & thus called for a transfer fee. This "shock" announcement was taken to the courts while Adrian Lopez played for Spain in the U-21 European Champions where he scored 5 goals & took the "Golden Boot Award".

The court gave its final & decisive verdict yesterday in favour of Adrian & Atletico which opened the road to sign for the Madrid Club

Adrian  new Atletico player

This afternoon Atletico de Madrid presented to National media their new player as seen in the above picture with Adrian proudly hold his new Club shirt. From here I welcome the player to Atletico - a very "special" Club - & wish him all the success in the World.

Nice end to a long Football & personal story.

COURT OPENS WAY FOR SPANISH FOOTBALL U-21 INTERNATIONAL ADRIAN TO GO TO ATLETICO

Back on the 3rd of July Spanish Football Sports posted the situation on young U-21 Spanish Football sensation ADRIAN & his conflict with his current Club DEPORTIVO who was halting his desire to move to ATLETICO DE MADRID.

Today the Courts , via judge Cardenal, has given the reason to Adrian over his Club Deportivo after the latter unilaterally extended his contract without the consent of the player who was free & decided to sign with Atletico. Barring an appeal from Deportivo - unlikely - Adrian will soon join ATLETICO DE MADRID to continue evolving in his Football future. The Madrid Club gets on board a talented forward who was the "Golden Boot" of the recent U-21 European Championships & will add plenty of value upfront.

DEPORTIVO vs ATLETICO DE MADRID FOR U- 21 EURO CHAMP ADRIAN

English paper sources like the "Daily Mirror" publish that ASTON VILLA is preparing to "swoop" down on Spanish Football International ADRIAN ,  recently proclaimed the U-21 European  "Golden Boot" & Euro U-21 Champ. The youngster is in limbo at the moment while his Club Deportivo A Coruña recently relegated to 2º Division are in a legal battle with ATLETICO DE MADRID over a contractual issue.

The player came to an agreement with Atletico to sign for the new season as his contract with Deportivo came to an end. However the "crafty" Depor President Lendoiro had a "clause" in the players contract that allowed Depor to extend unilaterally an extra year. Obviously, Depor "pulled out" the clause when Atletico showed interest to claim a transfer fee instead of having the player go over "scott free".

The issue is currently in the courts & a sentence will be called this week. The player himself has voiced the opinion of wantinf to go to Atletico de Madrid as originally planned.

Adrian for Spain U-21 Team

If Deportivo wins the court case, Clubs pretending the services of Adrian will have to negotiate with Deportivo & pay a transfer fee ( understand Deportivos posture now),  & here is were either Atletico de Madrid will have to fork out money ( when the player originally was presumed free of a fee) or the alternative & interested other Clubs will have to put forward a "juicy" offer. If Atletico de Madrid wins the court case, the player would be part of Atletico for next season as per the "initial agreement".

Stay tuned.

ATLETICO DE MADRID CLOSES DEAL WITH DEPORTIVO FOR FILIPE LUIS

Good news for ATLETICO DE MADRID fans with the news from Spanish daily "AS" on its online channel announcing that the Madrid Club has come to terms with DEPORTIVO A CORUÑA for the transfer of Brazilian International Left Back FILIPE LUIS.

Both Clubs were in intense negotiations today in Madrid with the deal coming to good port after both teams agreed the 12M€ transfer price & a 4 year contract for the player. Filipe Luis is expected to arrive tomorrow to the Spanish Capital to shut the loose ends so as to later be able to make an official announcement.

The Brazilian is a talented player who was a regular for Brazil before he suffered a broken leg injury last year of which he is now fully recovered. His incorporation to Atletico lifts the quality level as the Europa League Champions work to put together a competitive squad for season 2010-2011.

ATLETICO DE MADRID 2010 - 2011 PLAN | ROD FANNI RIGHT BACK LUIS FELIPE LEFT BACK PLUS A MIDFIELDER

Original Source: Spanish Football Sprts /
Straight from the horses mouth, metaphorically speaking, as ATLETICO DE MADRID President Enrique Cerezo has said publicly that he thinks that signing of 28 year old French defender ROD FANNI of STADE RENNES is close. The Spanish Club President said that Atletico is currently negotiating with the French Club & things are moving forward but he could not tell when they would come to good port. Simply said, President Cerezo commented that we will have to wait for further news.

To this Atletico de Madrid is also looking to strengthen the Left Back position with Brazilian & DEPORTIVO defender LUIS FELIPE the chosen player. Deportivo has a “hard nut to crack” reputation when it comes to negotiating with its players & it may take more than habitual time to conclude this particular operation.

Lastly, President Cerezo also added that to the Right & Left Back positions, a midfielder is on the list of next season signings, but could not give a name.

Stay tuned!

ATLETICO DE MADRID LOOKS AT DEPORTIVO DEFENDER LUIS FELIPE

Source Blog : Sp Ftball Sprts /
Deportivo A Coruña & Brazilian left back LUIS FELIPE is considered one of the best players in his position of the Spanish League. The player was on the verge of landing at FC BARCELONA last season & was also on the agenda of REAL MADRID. A terrible leg injury – broken bone – left him out of action most of the season & he managed to timidly get back on the field to play a few minutes in the last part of the season.

According to Spanish Sporting daily “AS” ATLETICO DE MADRID has approached DEPORTIVO to negotiate the transfer of Luis Felipe for next season. Deportivo asks for 15M€ while Atletico desires to lower that figure. Atletico may consider adding one of its players, Diego Costa, into the operation in an attempt to lower the economic pretensions of Deportivo.

Luis Felipe is a great player, a defender with speed down the flank & with plenty of goal. The Brazilian would have been part of the World Cup squad had he not been injured all season. Atletico would win class & youth if they can succeed in convincing Deportivo to sell the defender. Stay tuned!

SFS FLASHBACKS: DUKIC "LIGA TITLE" PENALTY 1993-1994

The Situation: The Great DEPORTIVO DE A CORUÑA defender
MIROSLAV DUKIC decides to take the penalty awarded to his team
at the last match of the season & at the last minute of the game.
A goal would give Deportivo the 1993-1994 “Liga” title, if
missed FC BARCELONA would proclaim the prized title.
This is what happened:

Dukic has never forgotten this moment since then. Football can be
passionate yet very cruel at the same time.
